Although it’s interesting to see what industry officials and fans have to say on this topic, the opinions of idols on their contemporaries is doubly so. Participating groups for this survey included B2ST,INFINITE, B1A4, G.NA, T-ara, the Brown Eyed Girls, and many others.
In first place was ‘the hottest trend idols of 2011′, INFINITE. Miryo commented, “They’ve reached the spot of the trendiest idols yet!” while Rainbow‘s No Eul added, “With just their songs alone, they’ve managed to gain public recognition and popularity.”
The rest of the ‘Top 7′ will broadcast on December 24th at 2 p.m. KST.
16 December:
On the episode of MBC Everyone ‘Weekly Idol‘ that airs December 17th, idols such as Wonder Girls, T-ara, A-Pink, and B1A4 participated in the newest poll that asked which star they would like to spend the holidays with.
The top 10 chosen celebrities will be revealed on the show, but among some of the selections included comedian Choi Hyo Jong, Leessang‘s Gary, actress Yoo Ah In, and actor Jang Geun Suk.
Wonder Girls‘ Yenny garnered attention for remarking that she was an avid fan of comedian Choi Hyo Song, and selected him as the one celebrity she would want to spend Christmas with.
But the one celebrity that won most of the idols’ votes was none other than rising Hallyu star, actor Song Joong Ki.
The idols explained their reasoning for selecting Song Joong Ki saying, “You need to have good looking people at the parties“, “I think he would be able to create a friendly atmosphere“, and proved that he was popular even amongst the idols for his good looks plus his social skills.
Meanwhile, the top female celebrities chosen were variety entertainment program stars such as Kang Sora and Song Ji Hyo.
8 December:
Idol groups such as INFINITE, B2ST, T-ARA, SISTAR, Brown Eyed Girls, and more participated in the poll and the idols themselves picked who they feel to be the top 10 sexiest idols in the industry. The nominees included the likes of original sexy icons G.NA, 2PM‘s Taecyeon, and Big Bang‘sT.O.P as well as f(x)‘s Krystal, INFINITE‘s Hoya, and SHINee‘s Jonghyun.
4minute‘s HyunA received an overwhelming number of votes, securing her title as the sexiest female idol in the industry. She not only received the votes of her label mates including B2ST‘s Yong Jun Hyung, Yoon Doojoon and 4minute’s Jiyoon, but she was also acknowledged by the members ofAfter School, INFINITE, FT Island, and more.
SISTAR’s Hyorin praised HyunA saying, “Mature and sexy for her age,” and INFINITE’s Sungjongadded, “She has an intensely captivating stare.”
HyunA who has recently debuted as a member of unit ‘Trouble Maker‘ has been confirmed by her peers as the nation’s sexiest idol star. On the episode that airs at 2:00PM on the 10th, the singer will reveal her personal thoughts on the poll results.
18 november:
The nominees for the most charismatic leader were Wonder Girls‘ Sunye, INFINITE’s Sunggyu, B2ST’s DooJoon, 2NE1‘s CL, SNSD‘s Taeyeon, among a few others. All of them were chosen for their leadership qualities, however in the end, Super Junior‘s Leeteuk came out on top.
Leeteuk reportedly won by a landslide, as the members of SISTAR, Sunggyu and Sungyeol from INFINITE, BEG‘s Narsha, and the members of FT Island all voted for him. They stated that he possessed a ‘smooth charisma that can lead a large force very well’.
MC Defconn also acknowledged Leeteuk for enforcing good teamwork within Super Junior. “I acknowledge Leeteuk. He’s a really nice guy“, he said congratulating him.

20 October:
Although there were a wide variety of opinions, 4minute‘s HyunA and Big Bang‘s Taeyang came out on top of the ranking.
This poll was especially interesting as members of Infinite, MBLAQ, U-KISS and B1A4 all actively voted for HyunA as the next Lee Hyori.
MC Jung Hyun Dong who is close to HyunA called to congratulate the singer, and HyunA remembered to thank everyone who voted for her.

14 October:
Rainbow guest-featured on an episode of MBCevery1‘s “Weekly Idols-This Week’s Idols‘ that airs this week on the 15th.
The girls were introducing themselves when Defconn who is known to be close to Woori stated, “Woori is really popular amongst us guys. All of us rappers are close to her.”
They further revealed that Go Woori was chosen as #1 for ‘hip hop goddess’ amongst the circle of hip hop stars.
“I heard that I had a lot of hip hop celebrity fans,” Woori stated. “But I never get calls from any of them,” she said, evoking laughter.
The ‘Rainbow’ episode of ‘Weekly Idols’ airs on the 15th at 2PM KST.
7 October:
Lee Seung Gi seems to have made quite an impression on netizens through ‘1 Night 2 Days‘, which earned him the nickname ‘brain-dol‘. SISTAR‘s Hyorin confirmed that he is “already well-known for being a brain-dol“, and that he shows intelligent qualities even off-screen.
Other idols who ranked on the poll included SNSD‘s resident bookworm Seohyun, former class president Rainbow‘s Jaekyung, genius idol MBLAQ‘s G.O (who’s said to have an IQ of 142), and 2PM‘s Taecyeon who ranked in the top 5% at his school in America.
CHI CHI member Ji Yoo, who’s currently enrolled at Ehwa Women’s University as a Traditional Music major, also ranked and made a personal appearance on the special.
8 September:
The upcoming broadcast of MBC Everyone‘s “Weekly Idol” show will reveal the results of a survey, which had 90 idols currently promoting on TV to vote on the peer they thought earned the most money.
The idol that placed first just happened to be Big Bang’s own G-Dragon. Many of the idols explained, “G-Dragon has the most copyrighted songs.” MBLAQ‘s G.O. also ranked high because he is “one of the hottest icons“.
Others who appeared on the list included BoA, KARA, B2ST‘s Junhyung, SNSD‘s YoonA, and IU. The show will reveal the full list on September 10th, so check back with allkpop then for updates!
1 September:
The corner was centered around the question, “Real Chart! Idol Self Ranking – Who looks the best in real life! The top five best-looking male and female stars!”
Idols who managed to land in the ranking included Super Junior’s Choi Si Won, SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong, Big Bang’s T.O.P., SNSD’s YoonA, miss A’s Suzy, 2PM’s Taecyeon and Nichkhun, and T-ara’s Jiyeon and Qri.
In the end, however, there could only be one winner, and it was 2PM’s Nichkhun and T-ara’s Jiyeon that came out on top for the male and female categories. Jiyeon was called up after the rankings were revealed, and she was recorded saying, “I don’t look as good on camera. I think I look similar to my TV image, but since I look better in real life, please come and see me!”
The full ranking will be revealed on September 3rd!
