SG Wannabe‘s Kim Yong Joon will be leaving for his mandatory military service on February 16th.
A source reported that Kim Yong Joon will begin basic training on the 16th, before he continues on as a public service worker.
Since Kim Yong Joon will be busy with his military duties, fans will not be able to see SG Wannabe perform as a complete unit for a while. The group’s official schedules came an end with their last concert, ”The Last SG Wannabe“, which took place this past month in Seoul. SG Wannabe will therefore go on hiatus while the members walk individual paths.
Kim Jin Ho has been working on music and he’s recently created his own workspace. Meanwhile, Lee Suk Hoon is currently hosting the SBS Radio show, “Lee Suk Hoon’s Ten Ten Club”.

SG Wannabe‘s Kim Yong Joon will soon be trading his mic for military gear.
On January 26th, Kim Yong Joon’s representatives revealed that “Kim Yong Joon is currently preparing to enlist with the military. He plans to enlist after the scheduled concert in January.”
Kim Yong Joon is one of the original members of SG Wannabe, signed under the agency IS Entertainment. SG Wannabe enjoys a respected standing in the music industry, thanks to their powerful vocals and rich harmonization. Each song is delivered with poignant emotion, thus resulting in a fanbase that stretches across generations.
Kim Yong Joon has also received much attention for being actress Hwang Jung Eum‘s long-time boyfriend. Considering how well he took care of her during her filmings, fans have given Kim Yong Joon the nickname, ‘King of Assistance’.

SG Wannabe’s Kim Yong Jun was recently served a judgment of 8 months jail time, 2 years probation, and 80 hours of community service for his hit-and-run accident.
On May 13th, a judge for the Seoul Central District Court sentenced the singer after determining that he was indeed guilty in running away from the scene of his car accident.
To recap, charges were filed against Kim Yong Jun on January 8th after he crossed the centerline and hit an SUV with his Mercedes Benz.
Due to the accident, three people, including the driver of the SUV, received injuries requiring two weeks of hospitalization.

Kim Yong Joon of SG Wannabe apologized for the hit and run he committed this January. He tweeted, “I can’t sleep… I apologize and I’ll reflect on what I did.. I’m sorry..”
Fans seeing the post responded, “Show us how you reformed in the future,” and “We trust you and will wait.”
A representative stated, “Kim Yong Joon made a mistake at the time, but he reported it within an hour and a half. Negotiations with the other driver have already finished, but because it was reported as a hit and run, he has to go to court.”

It’s now known that SG Wannabe’s Kim Yong Jun has been on trial for hit and run charges.
“SG Wannabe’s Kim Yong Jun was prosecuted for hit and run charges last January and was in court today,” told the court to Star News on April 29th.
The court says Kim Yong Jun plead guilty to all charges.

On January 8th at 5 PM, Kim Yong Jun was driving his Mercedes Benz through a Seoul Gangnam Sinsa-dong road and crossed the line, then crashed into an SUV coming from the other side and drove away.
The driver and passengers were injured for over two weeks after the accident.

Also on the 29th, Kim Yong Jun expressed his apology through his management agency. “I sincerely apology for making you worry through this incident,” said Kim Yong Jun. “I have no right to make excuses.”
He continued, “I made a foolish mistake because I panicked. I apologize again to those hurt by my reckless driving.”
Kim Yong Jun promised not to disappoint his fans again.
He will be sentenced on May 13th.
