2PM Album

23 May:

2PM has released the PV for their upcoming Japanese single, “Beautiful“!
The single will be released this June 6 along with a B-side track composed by member Junho called “If You Are Here“. “Beautiful” has already received love as the CM song for a popular Japanese brand, and previously topped the Recochoku chart on April 17.
A “Hi-5 event” for fans who buy the single will be held at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall on June 16 as well.

Idol group 2PM have announced that they’ll be releasing a best-of album in Japan on March 14th.
The best-of album, titled ‘2PM Best in Korea 2008-2011‘, will be available in three formats: Regular Edition, Limited Edition A, and Limited Edition B. The two limited editions will come with bonuses like special tracks or a DVD. Depending on the edition, fans will be treated to “Move On” by Junho, “Alive” by Junsu, or a DVD containing footage from JYP Nation‘s Japan concert late last summer.
2PM have been enjoying a strong following in Japan, and they’ve ranked on the Oricon charts several times. The individual members have also been scooped up for local acting projects; Taecyeon was on the popular drama series ‘99 Boku to Star no 99 Nichi, and Nichkhun will soon make his cameo in the movie, ‘Ouran High School Host Club‘.
2PM will also be holding their six-day concert series at the Nippon Budokan, starting from May 24th and concluding on the 31st. Tickets will be available starting March 31st.
At this time, the group continues to take Asia by storm with their ‘HANDS UP ASIA TOUR‘.

2PM’s first official Japanese album, ‘Republic of 2PM’, has also been released in Korea.
Last November 30th, 2PM released their first Japanese album and began their Arena Tour in Japan, experiencing much popularity all over the country. The album has received much positive response since it’s release in Korea on January 18th as well.  Netizens responded, “I can feel a new side to 2PM,” and “Finally they released it in Korea.”
‘Republic of 2PM’, the first official Japanese album by the group, showcases their mature, and refined side. A total of 12 of their Japanese version hit songs, including the song composed by member Junsu,are included on the album.
JYP Entertainment stated, “2PM had their first show case in December 2010, and it has been a year since they debuted in Japan. The first official album is filled with hard work and dedication, and includes songs that 2PM promoted in Japan and the singles they released in the past year. ” They continued, “We hope many people enjoy 2PM’s music and will continue to support and love the always hard working 2PM.
‘Republic of 2PM’ is available on music portal sites like MelOn, Dosirak, and Cyworld.

2PM‘s first full Japanese album Republic of 2PM‘ is finally hitting stores today, marking a significant step forward in the group’s foray into the international music scene.
‘Republic of 2PM’ is comprised of 12 tracks, including 2PM’s earlier releases like “Take Off”“I’m Your Man”“Ultra Lover” and “100th Day Anniversary”, as well as the Japanese versions of “I’ll Be Back”“Without U”“Heartbeat” and “Hands Up”.
This album also includes five previously unreleased tracks: “Stay with Me”“Crazy in Love”,“Fate” and “Even When We’re Apart”, which was composed by member Jun. K (Junsu).
The album is available in three versions: a regular CD version and two limited edition CD+DVD versions.

After debuting in Japan earlier this year, 2PM already has their hands full with the release of their first full-length album ‘Republic of 2PM‘ just around the corner and their sold-out Arena tour coming up. Ahead of the album release date, the track “100th Day Anniversary (100 Nichi Kinenbi)” was played on the radio today, giving fans in Japan a first listen to one of 2PM’s latest songs.
As earlier reported, ‘Republic of 2PM’ features a 50-60′s era concept and will include twelve Japanese tracks, including the Japanese remake of “Hands Up”, as well as “Even If We Are Apart (Hanarete Itemo)”, which was composed and written by member Jun. K (Junsu).
“100th Day Anniversary” is composed of a piano melody accompanied with a drum beat and, of course, the vocals of 2PM. Give it a listen below:
The full album is scheduled to be released on November 30th.

2PM has a lot to be happy about: the group is currently ranked first on the Japanese cellphone ring tone charts Chaku-Uta and Chaku-Movie with their third Japanese single Ultra Lover, which is also third on Oricon, and has made a record-breaking first place claim on Juyo Record Sharp. The boys now have even more reason to celebrate, as all 100,000 tickets for their first Arena Tour reportedly sold out in one minute!
2PM recently had their pre-concert show on November 5th, and will be adding three more concerts to their tour due to the rise in demand. JYP Japan opened 2PM’s first concert in Fukuoka on November 7th, and have scheduled nine concerts in total.
The group’s first full-length Japanese album ‘Republic of 2PM‘ was revealed on November 7th, and the reaction of Japanese fans has reportedly been nothing short of explosive. The album followed a ’50s and ’60s theme and had the members showing off their luxurious sides in a hotel setting, complete with props such as a limousine and helicopter. The twelve tracks (which include five brand new songs) in the upcoming album will include the Japanese version of “Hands Up” as well as “Hana Rete Etemo“, composed by Junsu for Japanese fans.
2PM also plans on celebrating their first year anniversary in Japan with the ‘2PM Japan Debut 1st Anniversary Event‘, which will be open to fans who will be chosen through unique IDs enclosed within the ‘Republic of 2PM’ album.
JYP Entertainment representative stated, “The Arena concert tickets selling out in 1 minute surprised not only the  Japanese branch, but the Korean branch as well. We want to send thanks to all the fans who love 2PM. 2PM as well as the agency will be doing our best to create the best concert possible.”
2PM’s current ’Ultra Lover’ album is currently being promoted in Japan, and the members will be returning to Korea on the 8th KST. The members will then fly to Jakarta for their Asia tour concert soon after.

Though they’ve debuted just this year, 2PM is all ready to release their first Japanese album!

The group will be releasing their first full Japanese album ‘Republic of 2PM‘ on November 30th. The new album will contain 12 tracks including singles that weren’t released in Korean.
‘Republic of 2PM’ will also include Japanese versions of hit songs like “I’ll Be Back“, “Without U“, and “Hands Up“, as well as songs composed by member Junsu himself. Before releasing ‘Republic of 2PM’, the group will unleash their third Japanese single, “Ultra Lover“, on November 2nd.JYP Entertainment staff commented, J.Y. Park took on 2PM’s new album himself. I think 2PM’s particular dynamic and modern style will give Japanese fans a fresh feel.”
Back in August, 2PM sent out their second single “I’m Your Man“, which received a lot of local love thanks to the group’s charismatic neck-tie look. The single hit 3rd place on Oricon‘s daily chart.
In further news, 2PM will be touring Asia until next year. They’ll be in Singapore on November 19th, Malaysia on November 26th, and then they’ll be holding multiple concerts in Thailand.
