On January 17th, JYJ‘s Kim Junsu gave a phenomenal performance during the press rehearsal for the musical, ‘Elizabeth‘..
The musical that’s scheduled to premiere in Korea was performed for the very first time in Vienna back in 1992, and is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary.
The combination of Queen Elizabeth’s life that was more dramatic than any movie storyline with the fantasy-like elements of love and death incorporated into the musical made it a big hit with the public, and the musical was performed in front of over 9,000,000 audience members in 10 different countries all over the world.
The addition of Ock Juhyun and JYJ’s Junsu has definitely helped with ticket sales, and the musical features some of the top musical actors and actresses of today such as Kim Sun Young, Ryu Jung Hwan, Song Chang Eui, Park Eun Tae, and more. The musical is expected to be one of the biggest hit projects for the first half of 2012.
‘Elizabeth’ opens on February 9th at Samsung Hall and will go on for three months until May 13th, 2012.

JYJ’s Kim Junsu has proved his popularity in musical ticket sales once again, this time with his latest project, “Elizabeth“.
The first round of tickets for “Elizabeth” became open for sale on November 22nd at 10AM KST. In less than 24 hours, every seat was sold out, especially for Junsu’s musical performances.
In a previous statement, EMK — the producers of the musical – stated, “We began ticket sales for the musical three months before the first performance, but within 10 minutes after the sales window opened, 24 out of the show’s 110 nights had already sold more than 50% of its seats. Kim Junsu’s performance nights were sold out completely.”
In the past two years, Junsu managed to help sell out seats for all of his musicals – “Mozart!”, “Tears of Heaven” and “Mozart! Encore“. Representatives stated that they’re already predicting a shortage of seats for “Elizabeth” thanks to Junsu’s star power.
“Elizabeth” will be holding performances from February 9th to May 13th of 2012.

JYJ‘s Junsu will be making a musical comeback alongside Ock Ju Hyun and Song Chang Uithrough ‘Elisabeth‘.
Starting February 9th, Junsu will be playing the role of ‘Tod’ (‘Death’) for a total of three months until May 13th at Samsung Electronics Hall in Seoul.
Junsu’s character falls in love with Elisabeth, an empress who yearns for freedom. Since he represents ‘death’, his character firmly believes that the only person who can free his love from the misery she feels is to lead her to death.
Junsu has a history of selling out his past projects like ‘Mozart!’ and ‘Heaven’s Tears‘; additionally, he won the popularity award at the ‘5th Musical Awards‘. As such, officials are looking forward to seeing what achievements he’ll rake in this time around.
Kim Sun Young and Ock Ju Hyun have been double cast for ‘Elisabeth’. The rest of the cast includesKim Soo Yong, Choi Min Chul, Park Eun Tae, Kim Seung Dae, and more.
