On March 21st, 2012, Korea’s little sister IU will be releasing her debut Japanese single “Good Day“. Ahead of this release, the promotional video for her lead debut single has been revealed.
On March 1st (Japan Standard Time), IU’s official Japanese homepage added the PV for “Good Day”.

Back in November, IU released her album, ‘Last Fantasy’. Along with this release, the MV for the title track “You & I” was also revealed. It took a while but now, the Music Video for the ninth track on the album, “Last Fantasy” has finally been unveiled.
This special video contains footage from IU’s Japanese debut showcase ‘IU JAPAN PREMIUM SPECIAL LIVE‘ held at the Bunkamura Orchard Hall back on January 24th. This is a special gift for her fans, as the video reveals not only footage from the showcase, but also include clips of IU touring the cities of Japan and her every day promotions and activities.

After impressing fans with her cinematic-like MV for “You & I“, IU has returned with a performance version on December 6th.
This second MV focuses on IU’s choreography in both close and long shots, giving the viewer a chance to appreciate the hard work thrown into creating her dance moves.

The agency reported, “The scene was supposed to be used as an afterimage that could be seen as IU looked out from a train window, but the two looked obviously embarrassed and awkward that we had to cut it from the MV.”
Various photographs including one from the scene that was cut were shared via IU’s official homepage under ‘Staff Diary’ as a way to thank their fans for their loyal support, and the photographs themselves received positive responses.
In one of the still cuts, Lee Hyun Woo cannot hold back a wry smile as he bashfully has his arms around IU, who is so embarrassed she doesn’t know what to do with her arms. There were other cuts that revealed IU getting her makeup done, and more.
Fans who saw the photos left comments such as, “Even I feel embarrassed and awkward just looking at these photos“, “I feel like I want to laugh, instead of being jealous,” and more.
IU who has achieved an all-kill with her second full-length album will be performing her comeback stage on KBS2 Music Bank on December 2nd.

Korea’s national ‘little sister’ is back with an all-new music video that plays up her youthful charm.
Like in the French film, ‘Amelie‘, IU‘s music video for “You and I” brings out elements of fantasy and ties it together with a well-crafted story. Since her album, ’Last Fantasy‘, is meant to reflect that period in her life where she bids farewell to childhood and prepares to meet maturity, the MV (also starring actor Lee Hyun Woo) does a great job in expressing that theme.

Singer IU finally released her newest full-length album, ‘Last Fantasy‘.
All 13 songs on the album were released at midnight on November 29th KST, and the nation’s sweetheart immediately began sweeping the charts with all of her songs.
Her song “You & I” is number 1 on Mnet, while “Secret” is number 2, ”Sleeping Prince of the Forest” is at #3, “Child Searching for a Star” is at #4, “Wallpaper Design” at #5, “Last Fantasy” at #6, “Teacher” at #7, “Uncle” at #8, “Wisdom Tooth” at #9, “4AM” at #10, “Everything’s Alright” at #11, “Lost Puppy” at #12, and “L’amant” at #13.
The ranks slightly differ on Olleh and Melon, however, all thirteen of the tracks on her newest album have climbed high on all the charts.
IU will be making her comeback performance though KBS 2TV‘s ‘Music Bank‘ with “You and I” on December 2nd.
It’s been 9 long months since IU last released an album, but she’s finally broken her hiatus today with ‘Last Fantasy‘.
The singer’s second full-length album is comprised of 13 tracks, including her lead song “You and I“. Both the regular and limited editions are selling out like hotcakes, proving the high level of anticipation for her comeback.
Her agency Loen Entertainment stated, “The album has been worked on for a long time, and the exclusive content included in the special limited edition will enable fans to better understand the album production process. It’s a special gift from IU to those fans who have waited a long time.”

Loen Entertainment has just released the MV teaser for IU‘s comeback track, “You and I“.
“You and I” is the work of composer Lee Min Soo and songwriter Kim Eana, the pair that brought her “Good Day“, IU’s greatest hit thus far.
The teaser was first released through SBS’s ‘Inkigayo‘, where IU is an MC. Soon after, the teaser was unveiled on Melon and LOEN‘s official YouTube channel.
LOEN Entertainment stated, “People will see a new side to IU through this mysterious video. Please look forward to her comeback.”
On November 25th, Loen Entertainment shared, “In just one day, the special edition went completely out of stock. You could say that the album is something that will satisfy the listener’s expectations immediately after one hearing. We thank fans for their love and interest.”
Loen continued, “The massive interest received by fans was probably due to the contribution made by several famous musicians, along with the fact that IU is the main singer in this project. ”
The special edition of ‘Last Fantasy’ contains a storybook and a pictorial.
In related news, many well-known artists contributed to the production of this album including Kim Kwang Jin, Yoon Sang, and Lee Juk. The album will hit stores on the 29th.

The track list for IU‘s second album ‘Last Fantasy‘ was revealed recently, and the artists cited for collaborations are impressive.
Musicians like Kim Gwang Jin, Yoon Sang, Jung Jae Hyung, Lee Juk, Kim Hyung Suk, Jung Suk Won, Kim Hyun Chul, Lee Min Su, Corinne Bailey Rae, G. Gorilla, and Ra.D contributed to the album. IU is also being noticed for having a hand in the creation of 6 of the tracks on the album. The 6 songs will include covers of singles that IU herself has enjoyed since before her debut as well as new songs.
The listing was released on Melon, and received over 1000 comments in under 30 minutes. Fans can listen to the first track “Secret” and tenth track “Teacher” on IU’s official homepage, and more tracks will be available for preview as time goes on.
Agency Loen Entertainment stated, “It’s a complete album made from rolling the ball for a long time. We’re confident that it’ll let the digital music generation what the ‘worth of an album’ really is. Please look forward to the kind of music IU has created with the nation’s greatest musicians.”

On November 17th, Loen released the photo through their official Twitter, along with the message, “If you blink, you become an adult.”
The agency explained, “IU’s 2nd full-length album will be an album that shows an IU who is currently standing on the border between the ages of 19 and 20. ['20' is a significant age in Korea, as it signals legal adulthood] We hope fans will look forward to and take interest in IU’s comeback.”
IU’s upcoming album will be released on November 29th, but the tracks will be unveiled on the 22nd.

The roster of K-Pop idols who’ve jumped across the water to Japan seems to be ever-growing, as ‘Korea’s little sister’ IU announced that she’s struck a deal with EMI Music.
“IU’s popularity in Korea is enough to drop a flying bird out of the sky,” said EMI Music said on their webpage. “She has no match in expressing emotions through her songs and also plays the guitar. Her vocal skills are second to none and has the ability to breathe life with her boundless talent.”
IU’s first album (to be released on December 14th) will be a special release acting as a prelude to her official Japanese activities. The album will include a total of six tracks, including “Good Day” as well as “Nagging“, her duet song with 2AM‘s Seulong.
25 October:
On October 23rd, on her fan cafe, she uploaded an image of her new album concept. The idol seems to have taken a picture of the computer screen where her team is editing of her album photoshoot. A glimpse of IU’s more mature concept is seen in the photo, heightening fans’ anticipation.
IU told her fans, “Will leave a fresh new album picture in the cafe…The photo is as much as is allowed by the producer! I’m not Loen‘s misbehaving kid. Good night!”
After making a victory with last year’s ‘Good Day‘, IU will be making her comeback on November, putting her right into competition with SNSD and Wonder Girls.
IU’s representative told Star News, “In the album, IU’s distinctive voice and new compelling songs will be included. The work to record the new album is in full swing.”
