We previously reported that Brown Eyed Girls‘ Narsha would make her acting debut in MBC’s ‘Light and Shadow‘. On February 7th, she finally made her appearance in the drama as a contestant for an audition.

Auditioning for Ahn Jae Wook‘s ‘Shine Troupe’, Narsha’s character sang a ballad and received a standing ovation from the male judges. Though one of the female judges recognized and pointed out her unpleasant past, she was able to pass the audition rounds.

Aside from Narsha’s vocal abilities, netizens noticed her cute retro hairstyle, bow, and mint colored outfit.

Furthermore, they commented, “Wow I almost didn’t recognize her!”, “Her acting and singing was perfect!”, and “I can’t wait to see her sing and dance to an (upbeat) retro song”.

Brown Eyed Girls‘ Narsha will soon be making her acting debut!

It’s been reported that Narsha will be participating in MBC‘s ‘Light and Shadow‘. Officials of the drama revealed to Star News that “Narsha is in the works to participate in the drama. Her exact role has yet to be determined, but we are currently reviewing a multi-faceted character for her.”

There’s a large chance that Narsha will play either a rookie singer, an aspiring singer, or a star who was once famous in the ’70s and ’80s. Thus far, there have been many special guests on ‘Light and Shadow’, including Big Bang‘s Seungri and actor Park Joon Gyu.

The representative continued, “We haven’t yet decided if this will be a special one-time cameo, or if she will participate in a few episodes. There’s even discussions on whether or not Narsha will join the production as a permanent cast member.”

Narsha’s agency stated, “We predict that she will begin filming within the week. Through ‘Light and Shadow’, Narsha will accept the challenge of acting and show an image that’s different from what’s been seen on stage.”

Photos have been released for the upcoming drama ‘Light and Shadow‘ featuring Son Dambi along with her cast members, Nam Sang Mi, Ahn Jae Wook, and Lee Pil Mo! These test shots, which were taken on Nami Island, showcase the four cast members in retro-style outfits.

With a wardrobe inspired by 70′s and 80′s fashion, the cast made the most of their first experience shooting together.

Nam Sang Mi showed off an innocent and elegant image in her pink and black dress, while Son Dambi looked fierce in her dark pink top and black skirt. Lee Pil No was casual and toned down with a checkered blue shirt, pants and gray jacket, while Ahn Jae Wook looked very charismatic in an orange shirt, black vest, pants and a yellow checkered jacket.

Ahn Jae Wook spoke about the drama and revealed, “The drama is like an attraction, fun filled and like a giant musical. Our outfits fit the retro theme perfectly, but we will also bring out the emotions of that generation without being (boring) and out dated.”

Son Dambi added, “If we look at current pop music, the retro theme is not just from one generation. It’s a cultural keyword all around the world…it’s a deep drama of going against popular culture but the script appeared a lot fun so I decided to do it.”

Stylist Bong Hyun Sook also expressed, “We can’t express the 70s and 80s without dance, music, and fashion. We monitored different countries early broadcasts and are creating our styles. We will become a drama that will catch the eyes of audiences with vivid colors”.

‘Light and Shadow’ will broadcast its pilot episode on November 11.
