Yunho’s birthday was on February 6th, and his fans have donated an impressive large sum of $21,000 to the Community Chest of Korea as well as the Korean Animal Welfare Association.
The first time Yunho got involved with the Korean Animal Welfare Association was through a special adoption campaign for celebrities via fashion & culture magazine, Oh! Boy. The association reported on their Twitter page that $1,700 was donated in Yunho’s name, and they expressed their deep gratitude.
Members of Yunho’s Japanese fan blog ‘ONE‘ also donated nearly $20,000 to a social welfare association in his hometown of Gwangju, celebrating the birthday of their favorite celebrity.
Additionally, his fans in China volunteered their time with the less fortunate, and donated enough money to support a young girl living in a difficult situation in China so that she can live comfortably for an entire year.
Yunho has been known to take a special interest in social welfare, which explains why his fans chose to celebrate his birthday in such a matter.
In the past, the singer has generously shared his wealth by donating scholarships to his alma mater, among other things.
In related news, Yunho & Changmin are currently in the middle of their ‘TVXQ LIVE TOUR 2012~ TONE‘ in Japan.
On February 6th at 7PM, some fan girls had a chance to meet with TVXQ‘s Yunho who was dining at a restaurant in Apgujeong. In the area were his Korean fans along with a large throng of his Japanese fans. The girls were in luck as this day also happened to be Yunho’s 26th birthday. In their hands, the fans had gifts they had prepared for him, and they looked toward the direction in which he was seated in the restaurant.
But suddenly in the restaurant, he stopped what he was doing and looked over. Not only that, he smiled and said to the fans, “Come in and have dinner~.”
It seems as though Yunho’s heart broke for the fans that were waiting outside for him in the cold, and so he invited them inside to dine with him. The girls who were taken aback by his thoughtfulness and could not hide their shock. Yunho, who saw their reaction couldn’t help but smile.
He was quite the gentleman. He ordered each of his fans a hearty bowl of soup, and made small conversation with them until their food was served. The fans thanked him, and Yunho looked happy to do something nice for them.
After the pleasant dinner, Yunho and his fans stepped out of the restaurant. The girls could not stop thanking him for buying them a meal, and wished him a very Happy Birthday. It was as if Yunho held a spontaneous fan meeting, and it was meaningful, both for the fans and for Yunho himself.
Yunho looked embarrassed, and responded to their thanks with a wave of his hand. When he received the gifts from his fans, he respectfully bowed his head and thanked each and every single one of them. He more than proved that he was a kind celebrity, and that his fans were just as sweet. And even though it seemed like everyone wanted to spend more time together, Yunho unfortunately had to step into his vehicle and leave the premises.
His fashion that night was rather casual. He wore a simple white t-shirt with a black and yellow down jacket, which paired well with his hair that was newly colored a lighter brown. Even though he looked comfortable, he was still that same charismatic Yunho that stands on stage.
He wasn’t trying to hide his identity, either. He did not wear a mask nor a hat, and was not concerned with being seen in public. He shared genuine conversations with his fans and greeted them sincerely. It was obvious why Yunho still continues to have a strong fan base even to this day.
Yunho and Changmin are global stars boasting explosive popularity not only in Korea and Japan, but Europe and the U.S. as well. But in front of his fans, Yunho was just another sweet friend and oppa.

TVXQ’s Yunho has been
cast alongside labelmate BoA for the upcoming Hollywood dance film, “Cobu 3D“!
Fans began speculating that he was just going to meet BoA on a personal note when he left for Toronto on the 18th, but as it turned out, it was for the “Cobu 3D” filming also.
According to info revealed by SM Entertainment on May 20th, Yunho recently headed over to Toronto, Canada in order to take part in the filming as a ’special guest.’
BoA tweeted, “Special guest! Yunho. Such a great guy!” Attached with the tweet are two pictures of the stars posing side by side at the film set.
Yunho is well known for his exceptional dance skills so many are of the opinion that he’s a perfect fit for the movie. Representatives were also of the belief that since it’s none other than BoA leading the film, a top star like Yunho would be the only appropriate guest.

Yunho revealed, “There was a time when a certain female celebrity confessed her feelings for me. She texted me first and we started to text casually, but once you keep talking, you begin to start to like each other and get closer.”
He continued, “But then when the girl confesses to me in secret, because of my blunt personality, there are times when I miss the messages in between the lines.”
Changmin chimed in like a boss, “For me, even when a female celebrity confesses their feelings, I just turn down all of them. When a text comes, I don’t even bother replying.”
