MBLAQ‘s Thunder recently uploaded a photo of himself via his Twitter page with the caption, “When I first went to the Philippines, I was a loner that didn’t understand the language. That loner has now become a blessed individual who is showered with fans who sincerely wish him Happy Birthday. Thank you guys, you are the reason I am where I am now.”

In the black and white photo, Thunder is seen smiling up at the camera, sitting besides what seems like a keyboard.

Netizens responded in the photo in Tagalog, as well as Korean and English writing, “Happy birthday oppa!”, “We love you!”, “I wish for good things in your life“, etc.

Thunder was born on October 7, 1990 and celebrated his 21st birthday (22 in Korea). Happy Birthday to Thunder!

MBLAQ‘s Thunder has once again melted the hearts of many by revealing a fierce and masculine selca shot, which also shows off his new hairstyle!

On September 29th, Thunder tweeted the above photo and added, “I changed my hairstyle~! keke“.

Many seem to be enjoying his newly dyed black hair, and resulted in netizens leaving nothing but positive comments, “Mysterious new hair but great!“, “You look extremely good with any type of hair,” and “Big image transformation for the best!”

Meanwhile, MBLAQ has been creating a stir in various European countries by grabbing first place on Germany and Bulgaria’s music charts.

Thunder has revealed that he will be unveiling two self-composed songs at MBLAQ’s upcoming concert this month.

According to a representative, Thunder will be providing a special present for his fans on August 20th. The surprise was previously hinted by Mir through a message on Twitter that read, “A few new songs will be revealed for the first time at the concert…”

Thunder has been working in secrecy for this special surprise. He said, “I’m preparing a total of two songs for my fans. One is a dance track, so I hope everyone looks forward to it. You’ll be able to check further details at the concert.”

Thunder previously showed off his composing skills on MBLAQ’s ‘BLAQ Style – 3D Edition‘ through the fourth track, “You“. MBLAQ has consistently included self-composed songs in their special edition albums, but rarely performed them on stage, making this concert all that more special.

MBLAQ also revealed that they will be revealing fun spoilers like this up til the day of the concert on the 20th.

MBLAQ’s Thunder recently shared an adorable photo of himself with his cat ‘Dadoong’.

On July 28th, Thunder tweeted, “The terribly tired dad with his son,” and uploaded a photo of the two lying side-by-side on a bed. True to his self-given title as ‘dad’, Thunder is seen with his arm around the kitten, embracing ‘his son’ like a loving father on the bed.

In response, netizens commented, “Dadoong is lovable”, “Both of you are cute”, and “Has your sister gotten closer with your cat?”

With Thunder and Sandara Park looking after Dadoong, the kitten must be the most envied pet in town!

MBLAQ’s Thunder expressed his opinion regarding his sister 2NE1’s Sandara Park’s radical hairstyles.

On an interview with TV Report, he said,

“I’ve got a shocking personality too. I’m jealous that my sister has songs that fit that kind of hairstyle.

The truth is that I don’t see my sister’s hairstyle changes in person, but rather, I see then through music videos and broadcasts. After seeing them I think, ‘That’s my sister, as usual’.

Some people wonder why she does those kinds of hairstyles when there are other pretty hairstyles that she can do, but the truth is, that’s 2NE1. Though my sister can be pretty when she is alone, since it’s 2NE1, she can pull off those looks. And just cause she does those hairstyles, doesn’t make her less pretty.“

On June 27th, when Sandara’s Vegeta hairstyle was a hot topic, she posted on her me2day saying, “I asked Thunder if he was embarrassed by me. He laughed and said, ‘No’”

Meanwhile, MBLAQ released their 3rd mini album ‘Mona Lisa‘ on July 12th.

Last week, the boys of MBLAQ revealed that they will be holding a concert titled, “MEN IN MBLAQ”on August 20th at the Jamsil Gymnasium. To help advertise this upcoming event, various teasers were uploaded to the official J.Tune camp Youtube page.

Individual teasers have slowly been trickling out. First up was Mir’s teaser and now a teaser featuringThunder has been released. In the teaser, Thunder meets his fellow members who who are dressed up in clothing to represent the other cultures in the world. Check out the teaser below!

Tickets will become available through Interpark on June 21st at 8 PM KST.

During a recent interview with Newsen, MBLAQ’s Thunder revealed his hopes of starring in MBC’s “We Got Married” with Wonder Girls member Sohee.

He expressed, “I think it’d be extremely fun being on ‘We Got Married.’ I’ve always thought about wanting to go on it every time I watched it.”

When asked to choose his ideal partner, he chose Sohee. He continued, “Although I haven’t been able to meet her often, I really would like to go on the program with her.”

The other MBLAQ members also added that they were impressed with the realness of the Jo Kwonand Ga-In couple, and claimed themselves to be fans of the show. 

Since it’s impossible to lead a normal life as an idol, they hope to at least experience marriage through a broadcast program instead.

Thunder recently revealed that he would like to meet Korea’s rising star in rhythmic gymnastics, Son Yeon Jae (16).
During this week’s recording of KBS 1TV’s “Imagination Arcade“, when Thunder was asked who he would like to meet if given the opportunity, he replied, “I want to meet Son Yeon Jae.”
He continued, “I don’t usually watch TV, but the only thing I can do (as a fan) is make time to watch Son Yeon Jae’s performances. I became a fan of hers ever since the Olympics.”
