It was reported that actor Jang Geun Suk presented the entire staff of ‘You’re My Pet‘ with t-shirts and 80 whole chickens.
Jang Geun Suk, who is known for his overflowing energy even during tiring all-night filming, secured his position as the favorite pet, not only to actress Kim Ha Neul, but also amongst the staff members. Not only did he play the guitar to brighten the mood on set, but, through his actions, he also played the role of a big energizer on set. It’s reported that he even shuffle danced on set, sending a shuffle ‘wind’ during the downtime in shooting.
On top of all of this, Jang Geun Suk prepared t-shirts for all the staff members, who put their hard work and sweat for the movie throughout the hot summer. When they had an film an all-nighter, it was reported that he ordered 80 whole chickens, one for each member of the staff, garnering more popularity on set.
Meanwhile, ‘You’re My Pet’ is set to premiere in theaters next month, it’s a love story about a woman, Eunee (played by Kim Ha Neul), who has the beauty and brains but lacks in the love department along with her human ‘pet’ (Jang Geun Suk) who suddenly falls into her life. It’s based on the popular manga series by Yayoi Ogawa.

On October 10th, the showcase for “You’re My Pet” starring Kim Ha Neul and Jang Geun Suk took place in Seoul.
Playing the role of Kang In Ho, a loyal pet of his mistress, Jang Geun Suk stated with a laugh, “If you raise a pet like me, you’re gonna have a lot of stress. I don’t listen and I’m also tricky… I feel sorry for my parents… for this kind of personality!”
In addition, to the question whether Jang Geun Suk would want a pet like Kim Ha Neul, he answered, “Not really. She enjoys violence way too much,” and making the actress blush.
In related news, “You’re My Pet” will hit the theaters on October 11th.

Actor Jang Geun Suk opened up about his passionate kiss scene with co-star Kim Haneul in their movie, ‘You’re My Pet.’
At a press conference that took place at Seoul’s Lotte Cinema on the 5th, he revealed that it was his ‘”first passionate kiss scene in nearly 20 years“.
The storyline for ‘You’re My Pet’ was derived from a Japanese comic and it’s a romantic comedy about a woman who finds a handsome young man and raises him as her pet.
“In a drama, all you have to do is touch lips and the scene is over, but the kiss we had in the movie was way different. It was as if we were really connecting,” he said.
“I worked harder at that scene than any other, and Kim Haneul put in her best effort as well,” he continued, surprising his co-star seated next to him.
Kim Haneul stated, “When I first read the synopsis, I told myself I needed to make it seem real and believable enough for my colleagues to envy that kind of scene… I even personally asked the director to give us a scene like that.”
Director Kim Byung Gon stated, “The kiss scene was intense. I don’t think we had to cut the scene even once.”
‘You’re My Pet’ will be released sometime in November.

Jang Geun Suk and Kim Haneul have finally wrapped up filming for their upcoming movie, ‘You’re My Pet‘!
To celebrate the moment, the two revealed couple photos they took together with congratulatory flower bouquets and a cake.
Kim Haneul commented, “It feels like we’ve all run on such a long path, but it’s finally over now. I did my best and had a lot of fun filming it, so I’m looking forward to the finished product. I trust that it will do well! ‘You’re My Pet’, fighting!”
Jang Geun Suk added, “We were able to crank up safely. I hope that everything turns out well, and I’ll continually be supporting the movie. I’m a pet~ You’re My Pet, fighting!”

On August 25th, Jang Geun Suk’s agency Tree J Company shared some cute photos of the ‘You’re My Pet‘ co-stars, Jang Geun Suk and Kim Ha Neul, with the tweet, “Had a busy day while entertaining the owner“.
In the photo above, the two stars are portraying the image of a cute couple more than that of an owner and pet, while wearing unique and funny glasses paired with a pink bow and a headband with sheep ears and rams.
Jang Geun Suk also revealed an adorable selca of himself, in which he is seen making a mischievous face while wearing the sheep headband.

Actor Jang Geun Suk has praised actress Kim Haneul as ‘the living legend of the film world’.
On July 6th, Kim Haneul, Jang Geun Suk, and director Kim Byung Gon attended the press conference for their movie, ‘You Are My Pet’.
On this day, Jang Geun Suk candidly revealed, “Kim Haneul is the ‘living legend of the film world’. When I first heard that my partner for ‘You are My Pet’ would be Kim Haneul, I was very happy.”
He continued to praise Kim Haneul with, “I never actually got to tell Haneul-nuna that I am very thankful that I got to act beside her.”
In response, Kim Haneul stated, “I feel as though the most important part of a scene is how well a person can get along with his or her partner. In the movie, I fight with Jang Geun Suk, but there is also romance between us. Jang Geun Suk successfully captures both a cute, yet manly image of the character.”
‘You Are My Pet’ will be released during the second half of the year.

Rainbow’s Go Woori has been cast for the movie “You’re My Pet” as a minor character alongside lead role Jang Geun Suk.
“You’re My Pet” is the Korean remake of the Japanese manga, “Kimi wa Petto“, by OgawaYayoi. Actress Kim Ha Neul will be playing the role of ‘Ji Eun’, a beautiful, smart, and talented woman who’s revered by society but has trouble fitting in with her peers.
Jang Geun Suk, who will be playing a classic ballerino named ‘Inho’, befriends her.
As for Woori, she’ll be playing Jang Geun Suk’s ex-girlfriend, ‘Lee Min Sun’, and will begin filming by the end of this month.
Representatives of DSP Media stated, “Woori’s role is small, but her character is important for the overall story. Because of her ‘Black Swan’ performance in the ‘To Me’ music video, she’s been receiving offers from various movies and dramas.”

On March 3rd, the cast of the Korean “Kimi wa Petto” film remake attended a launch event in Japan’s Ibaraki Airport.
“Kimi wa Petto” (You’re My Pet), based on a manga of the same name, was made into a hit drama in 2003, starring model/actress Koyuki and Arashi’s Matsumoto Jun, and the same roles will be portrayed by actors Kim Ha Neul and Jang Geun Suk in the remake. In the original story, the male character becomes the ‘pet’ of the female protagonist after being found abandoned in a cardboard box.
The two lead actors attended the promotional event along with band group FT Island’s Choi Jong Hun and director Kim Byeong Kon. The cast met with around 3000 fans.
Kim told the press, “Jang Geun Suk, who is a great actor, also has a cute charisma that suits a ‘pet‘.” Jang replied, “I’m happy to be Ha Neul’s pet.”
Filming for the movie will begin in the city of Ibaraki in May.

Actress Kim Haneul has a new pet in the form of Jang Geun Suk!
Kim Haneul and Jang Geun Suk will star in a new film titled, “You are My Pet,” a story about growing up through understanding and caring for one another as pet owner and her pet. The original story was written by the Japanese writer Yayoi Ogawa and was later adapted into a popular TBS drama starring Matsumoto Jun.
FT Island’s Lee Hongki confirmed Kim Hyo Jin’s tweet earlier today that announced the main cast members of the upcoming Korean film that also includes fellow FT Island member Choi Jong Hun.
In the film, Kim Haneul plays ‘Eunee,’ a beautiful and successful woman who is socially awkward. Jang Geun Suk plays ‘Inho,’ an aspiring danseur / ballerino extremely popular amongst women. Through certain circumstances, Inho will live with Eunee as her pet and display various sides of a pretty boy.
According to Kim Hyo Jin’s tweet, a press conference for the production will take place on March 3rd at Ibaraki Airport. The filming will begin in May in both Korea and Japan.
