29 November:

After being admitted to the hospital for acute nephritis earlier in the week, it’s been reported that After School’s Jooyeon has finally been discharged from the hospital and is now preparing to resume her activities.

To recap, on November 21st, Jooyeon was rushed to the ER after the group’s rehearsal for their Korean Arts Awards performance. She complained of intense abdominal pain and was later diagnosed with acute nephritis (inflammation in the kidney).

“It was an acute disease that could be easily treated by simple medication and rest, so please don’t be too concerned. She’s been discharged and is currently taking plenty of rest; Jooyeon will be resuming her schedules this weekend,” said her agency.

After School is currently promoting their second Japanese single, “Diva“, which was released earlier on November 23rd.

16 November:

After School‘s Jooyeon is facing criticisms of inappropriate professional behavior. Jooyeon recently shared some photos from a casino, and some felt that it was no place for a young female idol.

Before she revealed the photos, Jooyeon wrote, “I lost money at the casino and came outside for some fresh air.”

The idol took the photo at a casino in Las Vegas, where she’s seen sitting in front of a slot machine. Considering her influence over younger kids, some felt that this photo would encourage gambling habits.

Some notable comments from miffed netizens included, “You want to throw away your money so badly? Went to a casino at such a young age, tsk”, “You might become addicted to gambling”, and “What kind of image are you giving off as an idol?”

Others, however, defended Jooyeon by saying, “Going to a casino is not illegal”, “She went (to Las Vegas) on vacation so it’s fine to go to a casino. Don’t think too much into it”.

What do you think? Is it ok for idols to gamble in casinos, or should they be wary of their image and refrain from doing so?

On July 15th, After School’s Jooyeon tweeted, “I am the Blue Team’s leader, Jooyeon! Please give the Blue Team lots of love” and uploaded a gorgeous sel-ca.

In the photo, Jooyeon is seen showing her innocent charms, which are further softened by the bright sunlight. With the sun reflecting off her blonde hair and white blouse, she exudes a mermaid-like look .

Netizens who viewed the photo lefts comments like, “You are glaringly beautiful“, “The best photo I’ve seen yet“, “Is UEE watching? This is what a selca is“.

Meanwhile, After School’s two units, RED with its sexy concept, and BLUE with an innocent concept, will be releasing their albums on July 20th.

20 June:

After School’s Jooyeon recently uploaded a picture onto her Twitter which showed herself, along with bandmate Nana, using Bekah’s back as a comfortable pillow. Bekah can be seen smiling at the camera while Nana and Jooyeon play with their phones.

“Our comfortable and warm Bekah pillow,” Jooyeon said in the message. “I love love love you!”

Upon seeing the photo, netizens commented on their sadness for Bekah’s graduation. “Bekah will forever be an After School member,” one viewer said.

Although After School fans are understandably distraught over the news that Bekah will be graduating from the group, probably no one will be sadder than the members of After School themselves.

On May 3rd, After School’s Jooyeon shared two adorable photos of ‘her’ twins from her role in KBS 1TV’s daily drama, “Smile, Donghae.”

The idol wrote, “After School made a comeback for the first time in a while! But people think I’m a mother of twins… Kang, San, your mother is a singer!”

Kang and San are the names of her twin sons in the drama, and she can be seen posing with the babies in the accompanying pictures. Fans commented back, “Hello mother of Kang and San!”, “The twins are so adorable”,and “Please raise them well!”

Earlier today, After School’s Jooyeon became a graduate of Dongduk Women’s University!
On February 22nd, Jooyeon tweeted,

“I graduated today!! ^^ I really like today’s weather!♬“

In the photos, Jooyeon is seen wearing her graduation cap and gown while holding numerous bouquets in front of her school.
