Kim Bum Soo

Singer, Kim Bum Soo recently wrapped up a successful concert, serenading his 3,000 fans who attended, with various performances and acts.
On May 25th, the ‘2012 Kim Bum Soo Concert – Get All Right Showcestra‘ was held at the Sejong center for the performing arts in Seoul, Korea. Before the start of the concert, reservation tickets for the concert were completely sold out, an indication of Kim Bum Soo’s drawing power.
The May 25th concert was the first out of the three concerts that Kim Bum Soo will be performing at for his ‘Get All Right Showcestra’. The last one will be held on May 27th. Regarding his packed concert, Kim Bum Soo said, “This stage feels like a dream“, expressing his feelings towards the massive 3,000 fans who came to see him. He continued, “I went on a Europe backpacking trip for a month and a half and didn’t speak a word while I was there“, revealing how much he cares about his throat.

Kim Bum Soo opened the concert up with his famous OST track from ‘Stairway to Heaven‘, “I miss You“. He continued the concert on with, “Sad Inflection“, “I have a Lover“, and more. Kim Bum Soo performed a total of 23 tracks, ranging from his debut song, “Promise” to his latest single, “Rock Star“. In addition, Kim Bum Soo decided to add western flavor by singing pop songs such as: “When a Man Loves a Woman“, “Stand by Me“, and “Greatest Love of All“.

Kim Bum Soo who has always wanted to act in a musical, also performed classic musical acts like “Catch“, “Notre Dame De Paris“, and “The Phantom of the Opera“. He also pumped up the atmosphere by performing dance tracks: “You“, “Together with You“, and “Appear“. If that wasn’t enough, Kim Bum Soo also performed his own version of TaeTiSeo‘s “Twinkle” and IU‘s “Good Day“.

Kim Bum Soo has released the second part of his 7th album, “SOLISTA: Part 2“!
On June 16th, the seven tracks of his comeback album were released via online music sites. Whereas “SOLISTA: Part 1” showcased Kim Bum Soo’s vocal ability, “Part 2″shared Kim Bum Soo’s personal stories of love, separation, pain, and loneliness.
The title track, “Last Love“, was co-produced by composer Yoon Il Sang and lyricist Yoon Sara – the pair who created Kim Bum Soo’s legendary hit, ”I Miss You“. “Last Love” expresses the ardent heart of someone who can’t forget his first love; its music video was directed by Oh Seh Hoon, who’s been recognized in the music industry recently for his sensitive video directing.
Kim Bum Soo also created a lot of buzz when it was discovered that he starred in his own music video, thus breaking his 13-years absence from them.
Polaris Entertainment representative stated,
Kim Bum Soo has shown his abilities as a vocalist through this album. Through MBC’s ”I Am A Singer“, Kim Bum Soo exhibited his charms through his unique interpretations of each song, each with a different style. By utilizing piano and guitar solos with his vocals, he made an effort to show light musical portraits.
Other songs listed in this album include “Different” (which he recorded with SNSD’s Taeyeon back in January), the neo-soul song he created with Wheesung called ”My Baby“, and “Collect Memories“, which was written and composed by Park Sun Joo.

Singer Kim Bum Soo, who is currently enjoying the spotlight as a contestant on MBC’s “I Am a Singer“, will be performing a duet with American R&B legend Brian McKnight.
The two will be attending the music concert “Rainbow Festival 2011” in Kangwon Province on July 3rd. People were noticing that Kim Bum Soo was the only special guest to perform with Brian McKnight, and it seems they weren’t wrong to wonder. Apparently, the two singers didn’t just get together by chance, as it was revealed that McKnight himself chose to work with Kim Bum Soo.
A representative of Kim Bum Soo’s agency Polaris Entertainment stated, “He and Brian McKnight worked together on song selection, rearrangement, and practice with the live band, so they’ve worked passionately for this duet. They met in March when Brian McKnight came on as a guest on a program with Kim Bum Soo. Brian McKnight played the piano for him while he sang, and Kim Bum Soo gifted him with his seventh album, so it appears they vibe on a musical level.”

It’s been a long nine months, but fans will soon get to hear the second part of Kim Bum Soo’s seventh album, “Last Love (SOLISTA : Part.2)“!
The title song of this album, “End Love“, was written with the help of composer Yoon Il Sang, who wrote Kim Bum Soo’s mega-hit, “I Miss You”.
Kim Bum Soo’s management company, Polaris Entertainment, stated, “The main part of Kim Bum Soo’s seventh album, ‘Part 1′, was comprised of collaborations between Kim Bum Soo and the many skilled artists in Korea, such as Park Jin Young, Jung Yeob, and Lee Seung Chul. However, in Kim Bum Soo’s second part of his seventh album, we worked hard so that fans would be able to hear a stronger, thicker version of Kim Bum Soo’s vocal style.”
They also added, “Just like in the previous album, we added an acoustic sound to this new release. To raise the emotions felt while listening to his music, the songs have been arranged to the finest degree, and it will captivate the hearts of many fans.”
This album will consist of seven songs and will be available on June 16th through both online and offline venues.
