After teasing fans with the trailer for the Japanese “OH YEAH” MV, the GD&TOP duo have finally released the official full-length version of the music video!
GD&TOP’s Japanese promotions were scheduled to begin in November, however the date was postponed after G-Dragon was caught smoking marijuana back in October. G-Dragon personally apologized to his fans about the incident at YG Family‘s 15th anniversary concert that took place at the Olympic Hall in Seoul back on December 4th. Now, fans are glad to see that the boys are finally starting to kick off their Japanese promotions.
The single is scheduled for official release on January 7, 2012. In the mean time, check out the MV below!
2 December:
Back in September, Big Bang‘s GD&TOP announced that would be making their Japanese debut with the release of “Oh Yeah” on November 9th. Unfortunately, due to the breakout of G-Dragon‘s marijuana case, their Japanese promotion plans were put on hold.
The single was pushed back for a released date of January 7, 2012 but earlier today, YG and AvexEntertainment (YGEX) delighted their fans by releasing the short version (teaser) of GD&TOP’s Japanese “Oh Yeah”.

Big Bang‘s GD&TOP has announced that they’ll be making their Japanese debut in November!
Recently, a Japanese media outlet reported, “Big Bang’s sub-unit GD&TOP will be making their Japanese debut with their single album ‘Oh Yeah‘ on November 9th.”
This will be another project under YG and avex Entertainment‘s collaboration label, YGEX. “Oh Yeah” is a song off of their Korean album released in December last year with a featuring by 2NE1‘sBom. A Japanese version of “High High” will also be included in the release, with particular emphasis on the lyrics’ promunciation and meaning.
GD&TOP stated, “Our unit’s concept is freedom. It’s something friendly, like the youth you see playing on the streets. Big Bang itself is a very free-spirited group so we want to transfer that energy on the stage.”
29 June:
Months after promoting their duo album, Big Bang’s GD&TOP released the music video for their hit track “Don’t Go Home“ via their Big Show 2011 DVD.
While G-Dragon and T.O.P. filmed the music video for this particular song back in January, the video was never released in all its glory–though it was leaked through a fancam at the Big Show 2011 in March–leaving fans hanging for its arrival. And although YG Entertainment never clarified why they didn’t release the music video earlier, we assume the reason was due to the multiple bans the song faced.
But fear not! The music video has finally arrived!
