1 January:

On December 31st, INFINITE‘s L was seen being helped up by his fellow members after falling on stage during the ’2011 MBC Gayo Daejaejun’.

A day later, L’s agency Woollim Entertainment assured concerned fans that “L fell in the middle of the extended stage… Although it could have been a dangerous situation, he did not suffer any injuries. There is no need to worry.”

With it being the first day of the new year in Korea, L and the other members of INFINITE will be taking a much needed break for the first time in a long while. Their break won’t last too long, however, as the boys will have to start preparing for their first solo concert in February. L will also be filming for his new drama.

INFINITE has enjoyed their strongest success to date with their first album, “Over The Top“, and it’s inspired them to release a repackaged version as a thank you gift for their fans.

Scheduled to hit shelves on September 26th, the boys will be releasing photo teasers everyday for eight days through their official website, starting on the 18th. The layout of the site has been redesigned to load a hand of eight cards, and so a card will be flipped a day to reveal the members’ new looks.

L was the first member to kick off the series, and jaws dropped over his devastatingly handsome looks, leading fans to wonder how the rest of the group changed up their image.

Profile shots of INFINITE’s L are becoming quite the hot topic, thanks to his perfect facial features.

The photos were uploaded on various online community boards and were explained to be taken by a staff member at a waiting room backstage.  With his sharp nose and melancholic gaze, L enflamed the hearts of female fans everywhere.

The ‘visual member’ of INFINITE is currently starring in the Japanese drama ‘Jiu Police Criminal Investigation‘ as the role of ‘Jiu’, on top of his promotions for “Over the Top“.

L from Korean Pop Group Infinite will be making his acting debut in the upcoming drama, “Jiu Keishicho Tokushuhan Sousagakari“, alongside Kuroki Meisa and Tabe Mikako.

L will be playing the role of Jiu, a blonde haired criminal who has excellent vision and reflexes, with no sense of pain. He commented,”I’m a little nervous to be chased by two beautiful police women.” While this difficult role is a challenge for a drama debut, L says, “I heard many stories of the producer and decided to take the challenge. I like to work hard, so I will work hard for this role.” He also added, “I will be working as an actor, not as INFINITE’s L. I hope people will see a new side of me and will continue to watch me grow.”

This drama will be a live-action adaptation of the novel series, “Jiu”, written by Honda Tetsuya. The suspense drama with the theme of love is about 2 very different female detectives who chase the leader of vicious crimes.

With hopes of rising a new star, producer Oe Tatsuki commented, “I remember the moment I met him, I thought, ‘Jiu exists!’, and had goosebumps.”

“Jiu” will start airing in July from 11:15 pm.
