SBS -- Challenge 1000 songs

20 November:

On November 20th, SBS’s ‘1000 Song Challenge‘ aired a new episode with SNSD‘s Jessica as one of its guests.

Prior to her performance, Jessica explained, “I was a trainee for seven years, starting from 2000 to my debut in 2007.”  She continued, “I don’t usually cry while listening to music, but this song made me cry a lot.”

Intrigued, the hosts couldn’t imagine what kind of song would make the ‘ice princess’ cry, and Jessica revealed that it was none other than Gummy‘s “If You Come Back To Me“.

5 November:

On a recent 1000 Song Challenge filming, Koyote‘s Shinji caught a bouquet that trot singer Jang Yoon Jung threw to her, causing quite the buzz among netizens.

Koyote’s leader, Kim Jong Min, expressed his attraction to Jang Yoon Jung back in October on a previous episode of the program.  He continued to display his warm feelings on the 40th episode special.

In order to help the poor guy out, fellow member Shinji, as well as the other people on the show, created a special ‘wedding event’ for the two.  MC Lee Hwi Jae officiated the wedding, Simon D sang a congratulatory song, and Shinji caught the bouquet, causing the set to explode into laughter.

16 July:

On July 17th, 8Eight’s Lee Hyun guested on SBS’s ‘Challenge 1000 Songs‘ and revealed that he was preparing to enlist in the army next year.

With Lee Hyun making a comeback with Homme this month, MC Jang Yoon Jung asked, “Between being a soloist, a member of 8Eight, and a part of Homme, when do you have time to rest?”

Lee Hyun replied, “I’m thinking of enlisting in the army next year, so I want to try and focus on work this year as much as possible.” The singer was appointed to become a level one active-duty soldier after completing his physical with the Military Manpower Administration.

Kim Tae Woo has declared a playful war with his mentor, Park Jin Young (JYP)!

On the July 3rd broadcast of SBS’s ‘Challenge 1000 songs‘, Kim Tae Woo and Lim Jung Hee wowed the audience with their impressive vocal performances.

On this day, MC Lee Hwi Jae asked Lim Jung Hee, “Does a vocally talented singer like yourself sometimes receive scoldings from composer Bang Shi Hyuk?“, to which she replied, “Yes, he scolds me a lot. He tells me that I can’t be a singer singing like this“.

When the same question was asked to Kim Tae Woo, he regretfully replied, “Even now, I get scoldings from Park Jin Young“. However, Kim Tae Woo surprised the audience with his confidence when he declared, “Two years from now, I will tell Park Jin Young, ‘Hyung, I actually think I’m a better singer than you’“.

For the broadcast, Kim Tae Woo and Lim Jun Hee showed concert-like performances for each of their stages and competed for the “King of Kings” title.

Meanwhile, the teams who made it to the top four today were Lee Young Ha and Kim Yun Ja, Jang Eun Sook and Hong Kyung Min, Choi Jung Won and Wheesung, and Kim Tae Woo and Lim Jung Hee. Park Hyun Bin, G.NA, ZE:A’s Kwang Hee and Dong Jun, K.Will, NS Joon Ji, and others also participated in the show.
