For the war movie “Gojijeon (The Front Line)”, actor Go Soo has changed his image by portraying a strong character as opposed to the usual pure and innocent roles from his previous works.
“Gojijeon” is a movie about the Korean soldiers’ struggles to protect their native land for two years after the armistice ended the Korean War in June of 1951.
Go Soo spoke to the press after the movie screening in Seoul:
“In the beginning, my character is just a innocent college student participating in the war. As time passes, he witnesses and experiences many things, so I tried to show that change in the character. I try hard to keep things I’ve experienced inside my heart so I could bring out my best acting. Some people have shown disappointment at the way I played the role, so I will work even harder next time. But personally, I evaluate my performance as being okay.”
The movie is set to be released in Korean theaters on July 21st. Check out the trailer for the movie below!
