Actor Jun Tae Soo, who was on a period of hiatus for months after assaulting a taxi driver, has announced that he’ll be making a “cautious return” to the industry.
Earlier this year, Jun Tae Soo was indicted for assaulting a taxi driver while under the influence of alcohol. The controversy escalated to the point where he was forced to withdraw from the popular MBCsitcom, ‘All My Love‘. 10 months later, Jun Tae Soo has revealed that he will pick up his career again by featuring in ALi‘s music video for “Don’t Act Countrified“.
Representatives of his agency expressed through OSEN, “He’s glad to work with ALi and her new music video. For the past 10 months, he’s reflected hard on his mistakes and is now currently discussing his comeback. He will soon greet you all with an improved image.”
During his hiatus, he was reported to have taken part in various volunteer activities.
12 Maret: On March 10th, associates of Jun Tae Soo revealed, “Currently, Jun Tae Soo is staying at his home and has cut off all connection with the outside. Other than going out for exercises, Jun Tae Soo rarely goes outside and has even turned off his phone so that people cannot contact him.”
They also stated, “All of this happened because of alcohol. Jun Tae Soo is currently reflecting on his mistakes and has promised himself that he will never drink alcohol again. He has a strong will to return as an actor, so after a time of reflection, he will find a good time to return and continue his acting career.”

7 Februari: Actor Jun Tae Soo announced earlier this week that he would withdraw from MBC’s “All My Love“ in light of his current scandal. Many wondered whether the producers would cut out his parts completely, but it looks like they’ve decided to air his appearance in their daily sitcom until the 60th episode.
To recap, the actor was charged for assaulting two policemen and a taxi driver while being under the influence of alcohol on the 29th of last month.
Through Newsen, the producers revealed on February 7th, “We’ve already recorded about 15 episodes worth of footage. We’ll be minimizing and concluding his appearance up until the 60th episode.” The sitcom is scheduled to have over 100 episodes.
His character, ‘Secretary Jun,’ is currently involved in two love lines, as well as in a revenge plot against Kim Kap Soo. Regarding any plot changes, producers continued, “We’re still discussing how we will end his character. We have no way but to show how we will handle it through broadcast.”
Jun Tae Soo’s scenes will continue to play in the drama until February 14th.
