On February 9th, ZE:A‘s Junyoung celebrated his 23rd birthday (24th in Korea). To help celebrate, fans poured out their love, gifting him with various presents and birthday wishes.
30 December:
ZE:A‘s Junyoung revealed his new haircut through ZE:A’s official me2day account.
A proof picture was uploaded through ZE:A’s official me2day account, stating, “2012.02.09 Happy Birthday to Jun Young!! Find Junyoung, who is hiding within the presents that everybody sent!!!! Today’s birthday, Moon! Leader! Congratulate him!!!”
In the uploaded picture, fans were able to see the many gifts that were sent to congratulate the idol on his birthday, from stuffed animals to pictures, to cakes. Junyoung is standing behind all the presents, making a big heart to show his appreciation for all the presents. In particular, many fans had to do a double take to find Junyoung, as he blended in with the windows in the background in his black sweatshirt.
Fans commented, “Happy Birthday, Moon Leader”, “Happy Birthday! Please continue to take care of yourself! Fighting”, and “Moon Leader oppa, please continue to lead your group well just you are doing now^^ we will wait for your comeback!~ Happy Birthday”
30 December:
On December 27th, a photo of Junyoung was uploaded with the caption, “Perfect hairstyle transformation!! Cutie Moon leader wink~~^.~ You are having a good night, right??”
In the picture, Junyoung is cutely winking at the camera, showing off his new shorter hairstyle. He even gave a thumbs up, expressing his satisfaction with his new haircut.
Fans stated, “So good looking and handsome!”, “Total cutie★“, and “Hehe You look fresh! haha.”
2 April:
ZE:A’s Junyoung was recently admitted into the hospital for an orbital and cheekbone fracture after he slipped in the bathroom. A follow-up report was release by his agency, Star Empire, and they assert that the idol is doing well.
Star Empire’s representatives revealed, “Moon Junyoung completed his surgery and is recovering; there isn’t anything people should be worried about. We worried most about whether it’d leave a scar, but fortunately, there won’t be any scarring. He can’t chew food right now, so he’s drinking juice and eating thin rice gruel for the time being.”
They continued, “We’ll have to see for sure, but it’ll take about a month for him to fully recover. Junyoung himself feels extremely apologetic and guilty towards his fans and group members, but he’s doing well and asks fans not to worry.”
As previously reported, ZE:A will be promoting with eight members for the next month.
31 Maret:
After slipping in his bathroom and suffering an orbital fracture, ZE:A’s Junyoung successfully completed his surgery today at a hospital in Seoul.
The surgery was reported to have taken over three hours long and went without complications. Junyoung stayed briefly in the recovery room and is currently staying in a patient’s room after regaining consciousness.
A Star Empire representative revealed, “There was a fracture to his cheekbone and the surgeon tried his best so that his face didn’t scar by working from the inside of his mouth. There are metal pins to hold his fracture in place, but that will be taken out later.”
He continued, “He’ll be hospitalized for about 10 days, and although he’ll need about three more weeks to recover, the surgery itself went well and he’ll be focusing on recovering for now.”
For the time being, ZE:A will be promoting with eight members.

Although he went to the hospital, he wasn’t able to receive the necessary surgery required because of the severe swelling on his face. Star Empire representatives have revealed that after 24 hours, he will be going into surgery today.
The representatives spoke through Star News and revealed, “Moon Junyoung will be receiving surgery today at a hospital in Seoul. We were waiting for his swelling to go down, and it’s gone down enough for him to finally receive it today.”
They continued, “At the minimum, he will be requiring four weeks of rest after the surgery. For the time being, ZE:A will be promoting with eight members.”
Junyoung will be receiving surgery for both an orbital fracture as well as a compound fracture to his cheekbone.
30 Maret:
ZE:A’s leader, Moon Junyoung, has suffered an orbital fracture after slipping in his bathroom.
According to representatives, Junyoung slipped on the floor of his bathroom after a shower on March 29th, causing a fracture to the bone around his eye as he fell. He was rushed to a hospital in Shinchon and received immediate treatment.
They revealed, “There was water on the floor when he stepped out, causing him to slip and hit his face on the sink and then the toilet floor. He’s suffered an orbital fracture, but examination results say that it’s not possible for him to go into surgery yet because his face is severely swollen. The hospital told him to come back for surgery after the swelling has gone down, so he has been discharged for now. ”
Considering how fellow member Kwanghee is also recovering from an ankle injury, ZE:A fans have been expressing their concerns over the group’s health.
For the time being, ZE:A will promote with eight members.
10 Februari:
He had a small get-together with his groupmates at a cafe by Hongik University, and the boys took a photo to commemorate the occasion.
Judging by the pictures, it looks like there’s two whole cakes and many presents from their fans as well.
Fans commented, “I want to party with them too”, “Congrats. I hope the nine of them will always celebrate together”, “Happy birthday to my lovely ZE:A”, and “Happy birthday to our leader. Thank you for being born.”
ZE:A is currently working hard on a new album.
