Through Cyworld‘s ‘Star BGM‘ corner, he’ll be launching a ‘Confession Song Project’ where fans can write and tell him about who they’d like to confess to. Lee Hyun will choose one story from the applications and create a special video of himself singing “Because of You” to send to the person the fan would like to confess to.
It’s a one-of-a-kind event that can only happen once in your life, so fans have been rushing to get their replies selected.

8eight’s Lee Hyun has finally released his much-anticipated first album, ‘The Healing Echo‘. In addition, he has revealed the full MV for his title track, “Because It’s You“.
The song lyrics express the feelings of a lover who nursed a jaded heart after a painful breakup, but then he finds love all over again after his friend convinces him to go out. He doesn’t know why, but all his vows to never love again go out the window as soon as he sees her, and he knows that this will be the final, greatest love.
Lee Hyun’s MV reflects the dramatic tone of the song by following a man who rushes into a burning building to save his lover. Find out what happens once he actually gets inside!

Recently, 8eight’s Lee Hyun has been covering various songs through his short me2day series <Letting You Listen Because You Are You>. Following behind the MV teaser photos and album jacket cover, Lee Hyun’s upcoming title track music video teaser for “Because You Are You” has been released.
On December 31st, Lee Hyun’s producer hitman Bang posted on his me2day,
“Lee Hyun’s 1st full-length album ‘The Healing Echo”s ‘Because You Are You’ teaserLee Hyun’s ‘Because You Are You’ will be released on 2012.1.2! Please show lots of love~“
The music video teaser shows short segments of the overall music video leaving fans in anticipation for the release of the full music video. Within the teaser, you are able to hear a snipbit of the song’s melody which starts with ”Because you are my last love” and ends with “Because I already knew the moment I saw you“.
Fans commented, “I love the teaser. It’s like I’m watching a dramas trailer“, “I’m waiting in anticipation!” and “I want to see more!”

Singer Lee Hyun revealed his request live UCC “A Song I Sing Because It’s You“.
On the 24th, Lee Hyun updated this event via his me2DAY. He wrote with its opening, “I am nervous about how you all will listen and watch. What will the next song be? Look forward to it.”
In his last video, he sang “Holy Night“. This is something no other artist has tried before. Lee Hyun’s reps told OSEN, “We opened an iTunes podcast with the Cloud feature so anyone can listen to it for free anywhere.”
In this video, Lee Hyun is wearing a winter knit and singing “I Believe” to the tune of an acoustic guitar.
Meanwhile, he is also preparing his solo album, which will release in January.
Yesterday, 8eight‘s Lee Hyun revealed photos from the set of his upcoming music video. Earlier today, Lee Hyun revealed his album jacket cover.
On December 28th, Lee Hyun tweeted,
“In six years, my first full length solo album. Revealing the jacket cover hehehe though it was slightly revealed through <Letting You Listen Because You Are You> hehe. What do you think?? It’s quite shocking isn’t it?? A ballad singer can do this too hehe~~~^^“
In the photo, Lee Hyun is posing in a floral black and grey jacket and silver hairstyle. The photo also contains the words “The Healing Echo“, which appears to be the name of his upcoming solo album.
In addition to his album jacket photo, Lee Hyun shared another cover song through his me2day on the same day. He posted,
“The third Lee Hyun’s <Letting You Listen Because You Are You> was requested by Kim Eun Sun. It is a song by a singer that I admire. I will sing Luther Vandross‘ ‘Dance with my Father‘. A song everyday. You’re not sick of it already are you?“

8eight‘s Lee Hyun recently revealed a cover of Rain‘s “I Do” along with music video teaser pictures.
On December 28th, Lee Hyun posted a short video on his me2day page saying,
“Pit-a-pat pit-a-pat #2! Rain’s ‘I Do’ which was requested by Kim Hyung Eun. Everyone, you are listening to Lee Hyun’s <Letting You Listen Because You Are You> right?“
Lee Hyun starts the video by introducing the song. He mentioned that the song is a lovely song that was composed by hitman Bang and that it is a song that he wishes to sing to his future wife.
Meanwhile on December 27th, Lee Hyun revealed a set of music video teaser pictures.
He tweeted,
“In the midst of acting on the set of the music video. The weather is very dry. Whether you are awake or sleeping, be careful of fire. Even if you turned something off, check it again~~~!!! [You are anticipating the music video right?? keke]“
In the photos, Lee Hyun is found dressed in a full yellow firefighter’s uniform.

On October 31st, Lee Hyun tweeted, ”I’m okay. I got the neck brace removed yesterday~ Thank you for worrying about me.”
According to a representative, Lee Hyun had sprained his neck during a recent broadcast recording. Though it wasn’t a big injury, he wore a brace to prevent damage to his neck. He received acupuncture on his neck, and he was able to remove his brace after he had fully healed.
On November 2nd, Lee Hyun tweeted, ”Lately, my daily routine has been like a hospital tour. I have to go to the dermatologist, and I also have to go to a general clinic since I’ve caught a cold. I have to go to the hospital because of my neck injury, and to the dentist as well.. Darn.. I seem to be getting sick quite frequently… Everyone, please don’t get sick. I’ll be sick on your behalf.”
Meanwhile, Lee Hyun has been preparing for his next solo album. He is currently in the process of picking songs and plans to comeback before the end of the year.

On September 9th, 8Eight‘s Lee Hyun shared his thoughts on Kang Ho Dong‘s temporary retirement announcement, and showed his support for the MC.
On his Twitter, he wrote, “I just read that Ho Dong-hyung announced a temporary retirement. I don’t know him that well, but considering the level of fault that he’s at, I don’t think that some of the things these netizens are saying are right at all. It’s scaring me.”
He continued, “The hardest thing in the world is to get rid of your affections and familiarity with someone. How could you do this so cruelly to an MC that you once loved so much? Ho Dong hyung, please find strength.”

8eight’s Lee Hyun kept a promise he made to a fan by making a surprise appearance at her wedding!
Earlier, Lee Hyun had held a “Me2day Proposal Event” and promised to perform a congratulatory song at the winner’s wedding. “The bride said she annoyed the groom while preparing for the wedding, so she wanted to give him a special gift,” explained Lee Hyun.
He added, “I hope my song makes the moment special.”
At the ceremony, Lee Hyun performed a rendition of Lee Juk’s hit love song, “Fortunate.” After his performance, he wrote through his Me2day, “Do you remember the wedding song event? It’s a little late but I kept that promise today. Live happily ever after~~^^”

On February 18th, he uploaded yet another photo (shown above), but this time with 4minute’s Nam Jihyun. He tweeted,

Lee Hyun released his second mini album on February 15th, and his title song, “You are the Best of My Life“, reached #1 on a real-time chart soon after its release.
On the morning of the 15th, Lee Hyun overcame J.Y. Park’s “If” for the #1 spot on Cyworld’s Music Real-time Popular Song Chart.
This song, in which Lee Hyun was able to display his strong vocals, contained elements of pop, hip-hop, and rock. The fact that the song belongs to Bang Shi Hyuk, who is known for his sharp tongue on MBC’s “Birth of a Great Star“, is also becoming a hot topic.
Lee Hyun will begin his promotions on February 17th with his comeback stage on Mnet’s “M! Countdown“.

8eight’s Lee Hyun has unveiled the second teaser for his comeback track, “Best of Mine“, which features a hilarious double kiss scene involving himself, 4minute’s Nam Ji Hyun, and gagwoman Jung Juri.
The two women are wearing the exact same styles for a total of three different scenes, which caused everyone to be curious about the impending full video.

After revealing some hilarious teaser photos, 8eight’s Lee Hyun has finally released the music video teaser for his comeback track, “Mine’s the Best“.
The photos definitely lived up to everyone’s expectations – Hobo-Grandma Changmin accosts Lee Hyun as he walks down the street, and proceeds to dance around him while casting a spell. Lee Hyun passes out, and the clip ends with him belting out a line from his song.
