The T-ara ladies showed their support for member Hyomin by making a cameo appearance in her first horror movie, “Gisaeng Ryung“.
They were spotted in a scene that takes place in a club, and even underage maknae Jiyeon could be seen moving on the dance floor.
In the movie, Hyomin’s character Yurin visits a club to blow away her stress by dancing.
She goes with her friends, T-ara’s Eunjung, Jiyeon, Soyeon, Boram, Qri and Hwayoung, who all aim to help her enjoy a night of fun.
Their song “Roly-Poly” plays in the background as the girls danced away.
Reportedly, they received compliments on set for proving themselves as not only a dance girl group, but as convincing actresses as well.

T-ara fans received an exciting opportunity to meet their girls, while getting the scare of a lifetime!
On August 9th, the girls visited numerous movie theaters playing the film ‘Gisaeng Ryung‘, which stars fellow member Hyomin. Holding special events for their fans on-site, they signed “Gisaeng Ryung” posters, gave away autographed CDs, and took polaroid photos with the moviegoers.
‘Gisaeng Ryung’ has become one of the most highly-anticipated films of the summer, thanks to its status as the first movie to be slammed with a 19+ rating. The movie plot is about the a woman who is desperate for a child, and therefore uses a child for a dark spell so she could get a child of her own. The spirit of the victim-child emerges with vengeful wrath 99 days later, which is where the story kicks off.

‘Gisaeng Ryung‘, the first horror film this summer to be slammed with a 19+ rating, has released a clip of one of its shower scenes featuring T-ara’s Hyomin.
Horror films are notorious for spooky shower scenes, and this movie definitely brought its own twist to the cliche. Hyomin’s character enters a state of shock once she witnesses a gruesome murder scene, and the shower scene picks up from when she awakes.
After heading in for a shower, she comes out only to realize that the floor is starting to heat up. Cautiously, she grabs for the door knob but gets burned because of the heat emitting from the door. Blood then begins to seep in through the cracks before the scene fades and cuts.
In an interview regarding her shower scene, Hyomin revealed, “The shower scene was the climax of my character, so I went through lengthy discussions with the director to better perfect it. The director wanted to maintain the aura of mystery that idols have and asked to tone down the scene so I had no choice but to make it light and clean. If we had known that the movie would be slammed with a higher rating, I think I would’ve went for a more dramatic shot.”
The movie hits theaters on August 4th.

Gisaeng Ryung‘, the upcoming horror flick starring T-ara’s Hyomin, has been slapped with a 19+ rating.
On July 25th, production company Core Contents Media revealed that the movie was banned by theKorea Media Rating Board for “featuring too many cruel and horrifying scenes that were unfit for teenagers to watch.”
CEO Kim Kwang Soo replied, “We will not be submitting the movie for a re-evaluation. A horror film must be horrifying. We have decided not to delete the scenes in question.”
‘Gisaeng Ryung’ is about a woman who desperately wants her own child, and attempts to use black magic by sealing a child in a jar. The horror begins when the dead child’s vindictive spirit returns 99 days later to avenge his death.
The movie will hit theaters on August 4th.

In light of its impending August release, three promotional posters for horror movie “Gisaeng Ryung” have been revealed!
The first poster embodies the concept of ‘terror’, as it captures a young child glaring straight at the viewer; the child stands in between actress Han Eun Jung and T-ara’s Hyomin, who both have frightened expressions on their faces.
The second poster was shot under the concept of ‘chills’, and portrays a ghost of a young child scowling from a large pot.
The last poster once again embodies that feeling of ‘horror’, as it shows a child with two contrasting faces, standing in between a terrorized Han Eun Jung and Hyomin.
‘Gisaeng Ryung’ is a horror movie dealing with an unknown crime that occurs when a ghost of a child (who was killed unjustly) possesses someone else’s body. Han Eun Jung, No Min Woo, Hyomin, andHwang Ji Hyun have been cast for the movie, and it’s slated to hit theatres on August 4th.

T-ara’s Eunjung volunteered for a cameo role in teammate Hyomin’s upcoming horror movie, ‘Gisaeng Ryung.’
Eunjung, who recently starred in her own horror flick, ‘White,’ will make an appearance alongside Hyomin as her high school friend.
While working in true team fashion, Hyomin and Eunjung snapped photos, on set to share with their fans.
‘Gisaeng Ryung’ will be a chilling story of a young child’s unfair and untimely death, whose soul later lingers and takes over people’s bodies to commit heinous murders. The film will be released in August.

T-ara’s Hyomin has revealed that she has personally filmed, produced, and edited the preview trailer for her own movie, ‘Gisaeng Ryung‘!
In just under five days, Hyomin managed to complete a full movie trailer, leading industry representatives to wonder whether she has the potential to further foster her skills as a director.
She’s already known for taking charge in other areas, as she’s the stylist behind labelmates 5dolls, as well as the designer behind her own “Roly Poly” outfit.
Hyomin said, “I really worked hard to create a trailer for my horror movie. Although my skills are still lacking, I tried my best.”
“Gisaeng Ryung” will hit theaters in August, and you can check out the trailer below!

T-ara members surprised Hyomin by visiting the ‘Gisaeng Spirit‘ set to encourage her for her first appearance in a movie.
On June 24th, T-ara members visited the Seoul Gangnam studio of ‘Gisaeng Spirit’ during the poster filming set, as Hyomin, Han Eunjung, and Lee Hyeong Seok greeted them with surprised expressions.
Eunjung, who is the main character in the currently screening movie, ‘White: Cursed Melody‘, stood out in the middle as she encouraged Hyomin with a warm expression.
At the filming set, a scary atmosphere was created with scattered blood and spooky music, but T-ara’s visit transformed the stars’ serious expressions into laughter.
T-ara’s Hyomin gave bright hope as she stated, “To be honest, I hope this movie is better than ‘White: Cursed Melody’. This is my first time in a horror movie, so I learned a lot from Eunjung,” showing her appreciation.
‘Gisaeng Spirit’ is a story of a child who died wrongfully and became a spirit in a different person’s body, who commits murder. The movie will be released in August.

Photos of T-ara’s Hyomin dressed in a school uniform have surfaced on the web, but from where?
Hyomin’s stepped into a uniform again for her role as a high school student in the upcoming thriller, “Gisaeng Ryung“. In the movie, she stars as Han Eun Jung’s younger sister, who’s the key to unlocking all the problems in the film.
Hyomin revealed,
“I don’t know if it’s because I haven’t worn a school uniform in a long time, but I want to go back to high school… In the past, I was jealous of Nam Gyuri and Jiyeon for their cool school uniform looks in the ‘Go Sa‘ thriller movie series… I want to wear the school uniform well too and hear that it looks pretty and fits well on me. I want to be terminator of everyday and school uniform fashions.“
So did she get her wish and end up looking great in a uniform? We think so!

Actor No Min Woo has transformed from being a lovely guy to a cool-headed detective.
On May 30th, No Min Woo began his first official day on the set of his upcoming film, “Gisaeng Ryung“. “Gisaeng Ryung” is a horror movie about a child who died undeservedly, and whose soul takes on other people’s bodies, causing mysterious deaths.
No Min Woo stars as the serious crime squad detective ‘Chul Woong’, who is seeking the truth behind the mysterious death of a couple. He’ll be starring alongside T-ara’s Hyomin, and will work to have the film completed for its August deadline.

T-ara’s Hyomin is taking her first steps as a movie actress, and she recently shared the advice she received from Jiyeon, who’s the team’s maknae (youngest) but is an acting sunbae (senior).
On May 15th, reporters gathered at the set of “Gisaeng Ryung” for a mini media meeting after filming wrapped up for the day. During that small conference, Hyomin revealed that she’s the third member to have a big-screen debut amongst her teammates.
When asked if she received any advice, Hyomin answered, “It’s ironic, but all three members, including myself, ended up in horror films. We share many conversations everyday.”
She added, “During filming, to reduce my fear a little, I recently ventured out for a deserted house experience. I actually have lots of fear. The help from my members was crucial for my adaptation.”
Hyomin continued, “Even though Jiyeon is younger than me, she is my senior when it comes to acting. Because we share a room, I observe and learn a lot from her. One time, I came into the dorm after filming with blood all over me. I freaked out, but Jiyeon just calmly stated, ‘What? You’ll probably be seeing blood everyday. I think she has been numbed to horror.”

T-ara’s Hyomin will be starring in her first ever movie in the upcoming horror film, “Gisaeng Ryung“!
Hyomin will be playing the role of a bright and outgoing high school student named ‘Yurin’, who’s also the holder of a key that unlocks the secrets in the plot. ”Gisaeng Ryung” is about a the soul of a murdered child entering the body of another child, who uses the host to avenge herself by committing various acts of murder.
Directed by Yang Yoon Ho (of “Grand Prix” and “Holiday” fame), the movie is expected to hit theaters this August.
