Fans of JeA of the Brown Eyed Girls had a small request from the star for Coming of Age Day, a celebration of the transition from young adult to legal adulthood at age twenty.
On May 21st, the singer tweeted, “Dear fans, are you saying that you truly want my selca that’s worthless as a gift for Coming of Age Day? If that’s the case, here’s a selca I quickly took. Ahem.” The singer impressed followers with her flawless skin and natural beauty as she pouted her lips for the camera.
In response to JeA’s post, fans commented, “You look like you’re in your twenties,” “She’s so pretty,” and “How do you have such beautiful skin?”

Brown Eyed Girls‘ Jea has revealed that she’s become a vegetarian.
On January 26th, she tweeted, “Ah~ I think many of you were surprised by my English skills ^^; I did get better at it, but I actually requested the help of my friend who lives in the States, hehe. I’m embarrassed by all the compliments, hehehe. *Cry* I’m hungry, but I’m a vegetarian whose reality is that pizza is not an option ㅜㅜ .”
As Korea’s most prolific celebrity animal rights activist, singer Lee Hyori expressed her pleasant surprise at Jea’s admission. “Vegetarian?!”, she wrote, to which Jea responded, “I used to not be able to live without meat, but I felt as if my personality was becoming somewhat wild, so I quit meat. Ahem… this is my second week.”
Those who saw the exchange commented, “Hehe, Hyori unni was the first to take notice at the word ‘vegetarian’”, “You’re slender even now, but I guess you’ll become even more slender~”
In related news, the Korean Vegetarian Confederation chose Hyori for the title of ’2011′s Famous Vegetarian Singer’. Hyori is known to have become a vegetarian after she began volunteering at an animal shelter in 2011.

Brown Eyed Girls‘ Jea was said to have cried uncontrollably for 10 minutes while filming for KBS‘sChuseok special, ‘The Brown Eyed Girls’ Pit-a-Pat‘.
On September 8th, Jea was chosen to narrate the program as they followed the lives of six Chinese children suffering from various heart conditions and in need of immediate surgery. Sponsored by the KBS program, the six children were brought to Korea to undergo their necessary surgeries. The girls were with them everyday, and created a strong bond with the children.
Producers revealed, “After reading the last narration for the show in which she states, ‘I promise to visit China to see you again,’ Jea burst into tears and cried very hard for 10 straight minutes.”
They continued, “Everyone was upset to see her crying so hard while watching the footage of the memories she made with the children.”
Even on days where filming wasn’t scheduled, Jea visited the children at the hospital they were checked into. Because they all came from impoverished families, the children don’t have access to proper education. Upon hearing that, Jea expressed interest in helping a six year old child.
The program will air on September 12th at 5 PM KST.

Brown Eyed Girls‘ Jea showed off her luxury brand bag that she received as a present.
On July 21st, Jea uploaded a proof shot of her bag through her Twitter, as she wrote, “Songwriter Lee Min Soo, who has been with us the longest, bought me a M*** **cob’s bag to celebrate the 2-year anniversary of ‘Abracadabra‘ ^^ Oh my, I’m so happy. I think recording will go smoothly.”
In the picture, Jea is sporting a pair of shades while holding up her new bag in one hand, and giving a thumbs up on the other. Netizens are laughing over her expressionless face, which contrasts greatly with her ‘Oh my, I’m so happy’ comment.
They replied, “That bag is probably quite expensive”, “I wish I had someone who would buy me a bag like that…”, and “Take this chance and do a bag CF?”
Meanwhile, the Brown Eyed Girls have been working hard in the recording studio, preparing for their album and comeback next month.

On April 9th, Brown Eyed Girls‘ Jea uploaded several sel-ca shots of herself with fellow member Narshaunder the caption, “Two Hyojins’ race!”. Although the two women go by their stage names, ‘Jea’ and ‘Narsha’, they happen to share the same first name: Hyojin.
In the pictures, the girls seem to be on a bike ride together, wearing helmets to ensure their safety. Although both Narsha and Jea are 31 years old in Korea, they were able to pull off cute expressions in their sel-cas – proving that they’re still young and beautiful.
Netizens commented, “Aak! ke cutie noonims (older sisters) keke”, “The two of you must have gone on a joyful vacation!! kekeke But riding bikes can be deceivingly difficult….
