JYJ has expressed their gratitude for their C-JeS Entertainment CEO Baek Chang Joo in the form of a hefty gift!
On December 26th, an industry insider revealed that the trio had presented the CEO with a foreign luxury sedan estimated to be worth over $300,000 USD.
A representative of JYJ revealed, “Last weekend, we held our year-end party. After finishing the meal, we went out to discover a luxury sedan parked outside. The members wanted to show their gratitude for his support by coming together and pooling money for a new car.”
JYJ’s decision to buy him a car came from the fact that the CEO did not yet have his own personal car. Seeing him work so hard for them without something to call his own had hurt the boys’ hearts.
The representative continued, “JYJ and CEO Baek have known each other for two years, and they’ve been like brothers ever since. I believe it was a present to commemorate the success of their world tour, as well as a celebration of Christmas and the New Year. Aside from the fact that it is an expensive present, their hearts are truly in this gift.”
21 December:
Christmas will be very special for JYJ fans this year, as the boys will be sending out a handwritten Christmas card to their fans!
Representatives of C-JeS Entertainment revealed, “The year 2011 was one of many hardships, but it was also a year where we could feel the love of our fans more strongly than ever. As a fan service, we’ve prepared handwritten cards. They’ll be sent out around Christmas time as a surprise gift for their fans.”
The members also released an eight-minute long Christmas video through their homepage, talking about some of the things they hope their fans will do over the holiday.
JYJ stated, “Christmas is the perfect time to spend time with your family and loved ones. We hope that you have a warm, happy Christmas.” The boys concluded the video with a promotional comment on the ‘Mango Tree Project‘.

After a successful concert in Spain, JYJ rocked another epic performance in Berlin, Germany on November 6th!
According to C-JeS Entertainment, the power trio held a concert at the TEMPODROM arena located in Berlin, Germany where fans from all over the European continent came to see the three singers live. Not only were German fans present, but fans from Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, Poland, Russia, France, and Greece arrived at the arena. A total of 3,000 attendees filled the arena as they sang along with JYJ for two whole hours as a total of fifteen tracks were performed during the event. With the recent completion of their two concerts in Spain and Germany, JYJ has performed in a total of thirteen cities during this year for their world tour.
Regarding their latest concert, JYJ shared, “We finally came to Germany, the place we wanted to visit for so long and we are so happy to see our fans. The food here is delicious and the concert was good.”
Junsu also shared, “I’m really happy to visit the country of Mozart and Sylvester Levay who are like fathers to me. With all the energy we’ve received from our fans, we will become a stronger JYJ next year.”
C-Jes representative, Baek Chang Joo made a surprising announcement, saying, “The K-POP mania has only recently evolved in Europe. However, through JYJ I believe we were able to hold an official concert here, even though it was small. I’m thankful to the European fans who showed much love, exceeding our expectations. We promise to return through next year’s world tour.”
Until then, the members of JYJ have plans to rest individually in December.

31 October:
On October 29th, JYJ became the first Korean artist to hold their own concert in Spain. 3,000 fans from all over Europe made the journey to Barcelona to cheer on their beloved idols and take part in a dream coming true.
JYJ held a press conference with both the Korean and Spanish press, answering questions about their limited appearances in Korea as well as their hopes for their European tour.
Reporters asked, “Although you’re promoting in various parts of Asia, the Americas, and Europe, even in places where Korean singers aren’t well known, it seems that we have the hardest time seeing you perform in Korea. Do you have any wishes about being able to promote without restrictions?”
Yoochun replied, “To be honest, I don’t think broadcast appearances are something we should think about… If I had a wish, it would be to be treated fairly. Although I know we can’t do anything about the fact that we’re missing from charts and such… From one perspective, those things are the results and repayment for our Korean fans who buy and listen to our album, so for those results to be missing – it’s upsetting. I wish things like our album sales and other numerical figures that represent the amount of love we’re receiving from the public could be recognized.”
The members also discussed the reasons they chose Spain and Germany as locations for their first Europe tour.
Junsu stated, “Although it’d be nice if we could tour all of Europe, we aren’t able to do that yet… We started receiving love calls from various European cities since last year, but we weren’t sure how far our influence had reached, so rather than coming up with irrational figures, we decided to pick countries that would be easy for fans to gather at… The best locations were Spain for Western Europe, and Germany for North and Eastern Europe. If a second Europe tour is possible, we’d like to perform in more countries.”
When asked whether they had anything special planned for the concert in Spain the next day,Jaejoong replied, “We’ve worked on some passionate performances and acrobatics with a famous local choreographer, Rafa Mendez.” Jaejoong also added that they plan to show themselves as who they are, rather than putting on a different front just for the Europe venture.
He stated, “This Barcelona concert will have about 3,000 audience members. Although it’s small, we think that the majority of the audience will be of JYJ mania fans. Instead of seeing something that got reinterpreted to fit Spain or Europe, I think that they may want something more authentic and ‘Korean’. That’s why even though this is our first European concert, we don’t feel a pressure that’s any different from the usual.”
Junsu agreed, “The order of performance also hasn’t been changed too much from the earlier tour in the Americas… We are coming as K-Pop and Hallyu singers, so I think that there will be a lot of fans who want to see our way of holding concerts. We didn’t try to make a special change. We will try to show ourselves as we are.”
In addition to their concert in Spain, the members were also invited to perform at the Spain Manga Festival. The boys will now move on to Berlin, Germany, for their concert on November 6th.
17 October:
JYJ‘s latest solo concert has confirmed their fame in Japan, as they managed to attract more than 80,000 fans over two days!
Concert tickets for ‘JYJ UNFORGETTABLE LIVE CONCERT IN JAPAN 2011‘ sold out as soon as tickets became available, and the server crashed due to a massive influx of visitors. Every seat for the solo concert was sold out, and even standing room sections at the venue was practically brimming over with excited fans.
On October 3rd, thousands of fans flocked to the park to see JYJ perform from cities like Osaka, Sapporo, Tokyo, and more. It’s being reported that all parts of the country got hit with heavy traffic due to the amount of fans driving to the concert. An associate of the concert commented, “We were already surprised because the tickets were sold out, but we were surprised again by JYJ’s fame when the standing sections (which could hold a capacity of thousands) became full.”
JYJ had put on a spectacular show, performing songs from their first Korean album, ‘In Heaven‘, as well other hit songs from their worldwide album, ‘The Beginning‘.
They also had the crowd going wild when they performed OST songs from dramas that JYJ were affiliated with, such as “I Found You” from ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal‘, “Protect You” from ‘Protect the Boss‘, and “You Are So Beautiful” from ‘Scent of a Woman‘.
One 40-year-old fan commented, “I really like JYJ. I’m a housewife so on the day of the ticket site opening, I waited in front of the computer from morning to night, waiting for the site to reboot. I applied through the ticket lottery for front seats; luckily, I was given a good seat. The JYJ members are good-looking and they have a great harmony. They are also funny, which makes them even more popular.”
Another fan, aged 45, admitted, “My daughter and wife love JYJ so inevitably, I ended up liking their music as well. The whole family left the house at 3:00 AM to watch their concert, but we couldn’t get to the front of the standing section. I’m so excited, regardless, because I got to see JYJ’s performance.“.
Touched by the overwhelming show of support, the members expressed, “We are so blessed to see our fans in Japan. We had mixed reviews when it was revealed that our concert would be at a spot that got affected by the earthquake, but we didn’t want to miss the chance of seeing our fans in Japan. On this day, we felt everyone’s love for us and because of that, it gave us courage.”
When the members finished giving their message to their fans, the fans reacted with their tears and started to chant, “It’s okay, JYJ!” JYJ finished the concert with their song, “In Heaven“.
12 October:
A portion of the $600,000 USD that JYJ donated to the relief efforts in Japan earlier this March has been used to construct a rest shelter for earthquake victims in Iwate.
On October 12th, World Vision and C-JeS Entertainment revealed, “About 30 to 40% of those living in Iwate are over the age of 65, and it was one of the most urgent areas in need of help. During the two years it will take to recover the area from damages caused by the earthquake, the residents will have somewhere to rest and stay in safety thanks to the members of JYJ.”
Matsuko (63) stated, “After the earthquake, many residents were mentally nervous about what would be happening. Thanks to JYJ and World Vision, we are all in a peace of mind. I genuinely express my gratitude.”
A part of the donations were also used to fly in emergency supplies and help reconstruct of buildings earlier this year.
JYJ has been working all year long to raise awareness for the issue, touring nine different cities worldwide to alert the world of the severity of the need for recovery in Japan. The members said, “The earthquake in Japan was a big shock and sadness. At the time it occurred, we found a channel to help children affected by the disaster, and now, through World Vision, we are glad to be able to create an area of rest for everyone.”
Other charity efforts made by JYJ include the donation of $30,000 USD to World Vision to reconstruct an elementary school in Congo. Fans also took part by donating rice wreaths, which were given to 11 homes in need.
10 October:
JYJ is already making headlines for their success in Europe.
According to C-Jes, the trio’s upcoming concert in Barcelona, Spain sold out 80% of its tickets within three days — surprising the parties involved in the concert organization. In addition, for their Berlin concert, there was a case where the ticket site’s server crashed due to an overwhelming amount of people trying to purchase tickets at the same time.
A source involved stated, “This situation is even more surprising because this is just an individual concert rather than a concert held by a major entertainment company… We were once again able to experience firsthand the popularity of K-Pop in Europe, and the high level of anticipation for JYJ.”
JYJ stated, “This is our first Europe tour, so initially, there were a few points that we were a little afraid about. We thank you for your high level of interest and we will prepare a spectacular performance.”They continued, “Not too long ago, the Spanish ambassador for Korea thanked us for the concert in Spain and encouraged us; now we’re hearing that our ticket sales are going well too. We’re so excited for the concerts with our European fans.”
JYJ has also been invited to the Spain Manga Festival, which reportedly draws in 60,000 people each year.
The boys’ success has also been documented in Japan, where they’ll be holding concerts on October 15th and 16th. All 60,000 tickets for the events have been sold out.
Congratulations, JYJ!

JYJ’s Jaejoong and Junsu have become neighbors in a high-rise luxury apartment worth $3 million USD!
Last month, Junsu moved into ‘B’, which is located in Samsung-dong, Seoul. It’s just recently revealed that Jaejoong will be following suit, and is already focusing on the interior design of his new home.
The apartment itself is known for being a ’star town’, since other stars that live there include Lee Seung Gi, Kim Yong Man, and formerly Lee Hyori. One of the main reasons why the boys chose this particular apartment was because of the privacy features it offers. The apartment has completely separate entrances for residents, which deters fans from the premise.
Jaejoong’s new penthouse is 297.5 ㎡ in size and also features a terrace. One representative revealed, “He has bought his own home with the money he’s made from JYJ. Junsu first moved in and Jaejoong took an interest in the place soon after. The two are always together every day, so they’ll be with each other more often now that they’re neighbors. As it is his first home purchase under his own name, he’s paying particular attention to the interior design.”
Yoochun also lives in a luxury villa in Hannam-dong, Seoul.

Their encore concert in Gwangju was attended by over 7,000 fans, and since it was their final concert, fans couldn’t help but express their disappointment in letting the boys go. To pick up their feelings, the boys created a special parody of KBS’s ‘Gag Concert‘ and showed off their comedic sides.

Yoochun added, “There weren’t a lot of opportunities for us to show ourselves to all of you, but through this world tour concert, I feel that we’ve spent the happiest moments since our debut. Although we’re busy with our individual activities, we won’t lose our center as JYJ and return to you with another amazing concert.”
Junsu concluded, “As opposed to us pouring our energy into this concert, I feel that we received the energy of our fans. I’d like to thank our fans genuinely and hope that everyone concludes a happy year this year.”

JYJ have finally completed their two-month world tour! The group performed in Thailand, Taiwan, China, Vancouver, New Jersey, Los Angeles, and San Jose, and have just brought their tour to an end with a final performance in Busan, Korea.
The trio was said to have shaken Busan to its roots with their fantastic performances on June 11th and 12th. Every lodging place near the stadium were booked to nearly full capacity, thus proving once again that the “JYJ effect” was very real.
Baek Chang Joo, the CEO of C-JeS Entertainment, stated, “The concept of the ‘2011 JYJ World Tour Concert in Busan’ was Jaejoong’s ‘Creative Challenge,’ and it brought together 17,000 fans in the audience, with both concerts in Busan sold out.”
Each of JYJ members performed their own songs, “I Love You“, “I Can Soar“, and “Still in Love“, to present their individual musical styles. It’s said that Junsu, who’s known for his spectacular singing skills, presented a superb live performance.
Meanwhile, Yoochun serenaded the audience with his song, “Untitled song part 1“, for the first time in Korea. His raps, which rang with emotion, received an excellent response and was said to have greatly inspired the fans.
At the beginning of the song, “Found You“, Yoochun appeared on stage and shouted, “We found all of you!” which caused the fans to laugh at his charm. Near the end, Yoochun told his fans, “Thank you for coming to JYJ,” and showed his affection with a warm smile.
JYJ also performed “Boy’s Letter“, “You’re“, and “Get Out” that night, all of which were written by the members themselves.
As the concert drew to a close, JYJ said, “We were very happy to see such an unexpected, but great audience outcome with our own eyes.”
They continued, “We are so thankful for the unchanging love of our fans in Korea. We thanked the fans in Japan last week for waiting for us for one year, but our fans in Korea have waited for two. We feel that all the people here are not just fans, but are family.”
“We will try our best to create opportunities to interact with the fans not as JYJ, but as individuals. And we will show the fans a JYJ that is maturing everyday.”
11 June:
On June 7th, JYJ successfully completed their charity concert in Japan with the support of 20,000 fans.
As reported previously, Avex had attempted to interfere with JYJ’s promotional activities, so the concert held more meaning for both the boys and their fans than initially planned.
One fan commented, “I was nervous because I thought the concert would be canceled due to Avex’s interference. I feel happier than ever that I’m able to see JYJ perform in Japan.”
Another added, “JYJ showed great, genuine concern for those that were affected by the earthquake, and that gave me a lot of strength. I will actively support JYJ.”
CEO Baek Chang Ju of C-JES Entertainment stated, “The reason we were able to go through with the concert is because of the power of our fans. People may try to interfere, but they will never break the passion of the supporters of JYJ. Please think of his charity concert as something more than just a concert, as it will be a flare that officially signal JYJ’s Japanese activities.”
JYJ will be moving on to conclude their world tour in Busan on June 11th and 12th.
