Standing Egg

12 October:

Ever wondered how songs were evaluated? Standing Egg recently took fans behind-the-scenes on how artists submit songs for review to broadcast networks, who then evaluate whether it’s appropriate to air.
Through their official Facebook page, Standing Egg wrote, “I’m going to the broadcast hall to get ‘Comfortable Relationship‘ evaluated~ There won’t be any problems with getting passed, I hope.”
In another photo update, Standing Egg wrote, “This is how songs are evaluated in SBS. I was a bit late because I had lessons to give. so I have to wait a bit.”
Fortunately, the song passed, but fans were more surprised to see how simple the actual process was. The constant headlines of songs being banned makes the entire process and the people involved seem a lot more ominous than they are. The various signs state that the computer station is where songs and music videos must be submitted for evaluation.

After months of a long and tedious wait, indie band Standing Egg has finally unleashed their second mini-album, “Lucky“!
“Lucky” contains five brand new tracks, including a lovely acoustic cover of “Just The Way You Are” by Bruno Mars. If you’re a sucker for acoustic melodies and soothing voices, then this album is absolutely perfect for you!

14 June:

On June 14th, Standing Egg released a new music video for “Farewell For You, Not Yet For Me“, a track from their first album released back in 2010.
The video features guest vocalist Han So Hyun from 3rd Coast, and contains footage from their first solo concert at the Welcomm Theater. Although the song itself is an old release, putting faces to the music definitely brings a new level of understanding to the track. The group brings their characteristic serene feel to this music video, which serves as a nice treat for those who missed the concert.
Having released a string of digital singles all year long, Standing Egg will also be making their comeback with a full mini-album on July 7th.
Check it out below!
