On November 1st, ‘Mr. Idol‘ hosted a VIP movie premiere at the Lotte Cinema in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
Reporters clamoured for shots of the ‘Mr. Idol’ cast, which included Kim Soo Ro, Ji Hyun Woo, Park Ye Jin, Jay Park, Im Won Hee, Ko Chang Seok, Jang Young Nam, Joo Jin Mo, Jang Seo Won, and Randy Kim. The movie also featured guest appearances from U-KISS, Nam Gyuri, Brave Girls,Chocolat, and Lee Han Wi.
The event turned out to be a VIP affair indeed, as many of Korea’s top stars came out to show their support, such as 4minute, B2ST, Jang Nara, Jewelry S, Tim, and Lee Kwang Soo.
‘Mr. Idol’ will open in theaters on November 3rd. Check out the trailer for the movie below:

It’s been reported that Randy Kim of the upcoming hip hop group, Electro Boyz will be making his individual debut through his role in the upcoming movie, “Mr. Idol”.
The Electro Boyz, a hip-hop group produced by Brave Brothers, are set to make their official debut this coming November. Randy, however, will have a head start into the entertainment industry through “Mr. Idol”, where he will be playing a character who trains to become an idol in order to find his long lost family of 20 years.
Electro Boyz was originally a four-membered underground group until member Chakoon was called for military enlistment not long ago. It’s been confirmed that Electro Boyz will continue to prepare for their official major label debut as a hip-hop trio.
The three-membered Electro Boyz have already provided a taste of their music style through an unofficial single called “Break Up” a couple of months ago, which featured Ki Kwang of B2ST as the vocals.

It’s been revealed that the premiere date for the much-anticipated upcoming movie ‘Mr. Idol‘ has been set for October 27th!
Now that the countdown to the release date has begun, fans anticipation for the film is undoubtedly escalating by the day.
‘Mr. Idol’ will share a realistic portrayal of the show business world and and birth of idols. Not only will the film dive into the world of Korea’s music industry, but will also feature many talented stars includingPark Ye Jin, Jay Park, Ji Hyun Woo, and Im Won Hee.
It’s said that Director Ra Hee Chan has brought together many unique and dramatic characters to portray the behind-the-scenes stories of Korea’s music industry, and that this will be a music film like never seen before.

A press conference for DJ Entertainment‘s new movie ‘Mr. Idol‘ took place on the 28th at Lotte Cinema in Seoul. In attendance were Kim Suro, Park Yejin, Ji Hyunwoo, Jay Park, and others.
Jay Park plays the role of a member in the fictional idol group, Geo. When asked if his personal experience in an idol group helped him act out his character, Jay replied, “During my 2PM days, I got along great with the guys. We never really had any problems.”
The former 2PM member had flown back to America after his scandal broke out, retiring from the group. He came back to Korea with a new solo album and is attempting acting for the first time.
The movie itself is about a failing idol group that meets intense producer Oh Goo Joo (played by Park Yejin). After going through aggressive training sessions they become top stars.
Celebrities such as Nam Kyuri, U-Kiss, Brave Girls & Chocolat also make cameo appearances in the movie. Mr. Idol is scheduled to hit the big screen sometime in October.

Actress Park Ye Jin will be transforming into a sharp, yet cruel producer for her new movie, “Mr. Idol“.
Park Ye Jin will portray the character of ‘Oh Goo Joo‘, a passionate producer who takes four troublemakers and molds them into a national idol group. It’s a matter of personal perseverance and pride for the character, as she rebels against the authority of Koo Soo Ro’s character ‘Sa Hee Moon’, the so-called ’Midas Touch’ of the entertainment industry.
Park Ye Jin will become a ‘cruel’ producer as she ruthlessly cuts through applicants in an audition program. She aims to display her strong charisma as she whips the ‘Mr. Children‘ members into debut shape through rigorous training.
Fans will get to see her interesting transformation when the movie hits theatres in October.

The members of fictional idol band ‘Mister Children‘ from the upcoming movie ‘Mr. Idol’ have finally been unveiled!
The movie centers around the four members of ‘Mister Children’, an idol band that’s 2% lacking from a perfect image. They endure the harsh training regimen from infamous producer ‘Oh Goo Joo’ (played byPark Ye Jin) in order to become the nation’s top idols.
The movie aims to show the reality behind the work it takes to raise an idol group, as well as expose the intricacies of the show business industry.
Fans can look forward to the stellar performances from Ji Hyun Woo and Jay Park, who will be showing off their impressive singing and dancing skills alongside their talented castmates.
The posters revealed today identify the remaining two members of the group aside from Jay Park and Ji Hyun Woo. From top left to right, the poster reads, “Rapper Ricky: ‘I learned how to speak Korean through rap!’”; “Dancer Jio: ‘A dancing machine that moves faster than he can talk!’”; and “Leader Eugene: ‘I only have this song to give!’”.

Girl groups Chocolat and Brave Girls will be appearing in Jay Park’s upcoming film, ”Mr. Idol“!
The movie has already gained a lot of attention for cameos made by different idol groups, but this newest announcement has attracted an even great amount of interest.
Brave Girls is already becoming a hot girl group, thanks to their new song, “Easily“; on the other hand, Chocolat have yet to make their debut. After it was revealed that they would be in the film, Chocolat was the #1 searched term on various portal sites.
Other idols taking part in the movie include Nam Gyuri and U-KISS. ‘Mr. Idol’ will be released in theaters in mid-October.

The official trailer and teaser poster for Jay Park’s upcoming movie, “Mr. Idol“, have been revealed!
The poster features the four members of the movie’s fictional boy band, ‘Mister Children‘. At the front with his six-packs is lead vocalist ‘Yujin’, who is played by Ji Hyun Woo. Beside him is Jay Park, who plays the role of ‘Jio’, an easy-to-aggravate but loyal member of the band.
Many noted that the two remaining members were cut off in the frame, drawing strong curiosity from viewers. Also included with the poster was a video with a ‘D-87′ counter that showed footage from their pre-debut up ’til their debut.
“Mr. Idol” will hit theaters in October!

Producers of the upcoming idol-themed movie, “Mr. Idol“, have revealed that they’ve just completed three months of filming, and that the movie will hit theaters in August!
“Mr. Idol” boasts an all-star line-up with Jay Park, Kim Soo Ro, Park Ye Jin, and U-KISS. It’s described to be a comedy film about two producers coming together with a group of troublemakers, who they transform to create a ‘national idol group’.
Filming began back on February 28th, and was completed on June 9th.
Park Ye Jin commented, “I’m a bit upset and disappointed that filming has ended so soon. We’ve all gotten so close to each other, and I think this is the first time in 10 years that I’ve felt this way about a cast.”
Ji Hyun Woo added, “The last day of filming is always a happy but sad day. It would’ve been nice if we all ended together…”
Jay Park, who finished filming separately at Sunyudo Park, stated, “It’s upsetting, but I feel great. I’ve earned new hyungs, and I’m thankful that the staff and directors treated me so well.”
