9 April:In his latest photoshoot with “High Cut” magazine, actor Yoo Ah In spoke up about the criticism his personality has been receiving lately.
He’s currently starring in his own reality program through Mnet, “Yoo Ah In’s Launch My Life,” and has been earning quite the response since it began airing. Most of the viewers’ opinions are divided, with some thinking that it’s “fresh and fun,” while others expressed their distaste with his attitude and personality.
Yoo Ah In clarified, “I knew that I’d get hate for it. There are some that say, ‘Yoo Ah In has no manners,’ ‘He doesn’t seem like he thinks,’ and ‘His personality is so dirty.’ On the contrary, there are also those that say, ‘Wow, he’s really refreshing,’ and ‘He’s so honest.’ As for me, I think the division in the response is actually quite fun.”
At the mention of others criticizing the show itself for its “sloppy editing,” he replied, “There is no script for the show at all. It’s as real as a reality program can get, and I’m determined to show myself as who I really am in an effort to really launch my life.”
But why did he allow himself to show such an attitude on-screen? His reply was simple, in that he merely wanted to break the image people enclosed him in.
“There’s a stereotype that male actors must always be cool and caring. I wanted to break that image because I hate being forced into something so restricting. I want to give people that think they know everything about a person through just one side something to think about by turning the table on them.”
To follow the content of the interview, the photoshoot was done under the concept of ‘rebellious Ah In’, a befitting theme for his eccentric personality and pretty boy looks.
Despite the photoshoot taking over four hours long, he kept the staff members entertained with the variety of his poses and the on-the-spot scenarioes he would come up with with the props used on set.

He explained, “I’m thankful [at the staff] for only capturing the parts of my report card that show all As. I started studying really hard from 8th to 9th grade. Fortunately, my report cards before that period were not shown. [Because I got injured when I was doing short track speed skating in middle school], I suddenly started studying hard as I stopped doing sports, so the grades jumped up a lot from before.”
He also talked about his co-star Han Ye Seul in the movie ‘Every Little Makes Romance‘, which he is currently filming, “Noona is like a vitamin. When we talk normally, her reactions are very big. Her voice is very high and her expressions are bright, so she has the ability to make people feel happy.”
When asked about his ideal type changing from Miranda Kerr to Han Ye Seul, the actor quickly said, “I think it’ll be a few more years before my ideal type changes from Miranda Kerr to someone else.”

The two transformed into a fashionable punk couple, which contrasted greatly from their sweet image in the drama. Lee Yeon Hee wore a cropped T-shirt and skinny pants for one shot, and then switched it up by trying on a glam look with a mini-dress.
Meanwhile, Changmin shocked the staff after he revealed his toned body; many had underestimated his physique because of his baby-like face. The idol pulled off a tough biker look, and then pulled a 180 in image reversal by donning a classic tuxedo.
The couple changed their poses per concept, and didn’t forget to work their charisma through their eyes. They expressed perfect harmony by completing a beautiful, yet chic photoshoot.

Actor Hyun Bin’s final photoshoot before he enters the army was finally revealed through “High Cut” in the form of a 30-page spread, which featured his stay in Germany for the ‘Berlin International Film Festival‘.
The spread was titled “Never Forget Now”, and his entire trip was documented from the moment of his arrival to his first international red carpet event. It stretched on to press interviews and personal moments, before wrapping up with his return home.
Because it was his final photoshoot before he went on hiatus, Hyun Bin sought to inject his personal flair into the photos. Consequently, the backgrounds in most of the photos selected don’t give a specific impression of either Korea or Germany, so that the viewer can focus more on the actor himself.
The accompanying interview will feature his feelings on his first international film festival attendance, as well as on entering the army.

Sexy icon Lee Hyori has once again transformed with a new chic style.
In a recent poll of the world’s 100 sexiest women, the pop star proudly placed 9th, ahead of world-class stars like Beyonce, Kate Moss, and Zhang Ziyi.
The star has now returned to the entertainment scene through an exclusive 2011 Spring Calvin Klein Jeans “Gradation Denim” fashion spread in “High Cut.”
Straying away from the overly sexy and styled concept, the photoshoot was carried out under Calvin Klein Jeans’s own unique modern concept, with an underlying sexy tone.
The focus was not just set on the star’s sexiness, but on the distinctive washout style of “Gradation Denim,” in which the blue color slowly gradates downwards. In addition, minimalist styling and Lee Hyori’s natural modern sexiness worked well together to capture the main concept of the photoshoot.
Calvin Klein Jeans “Gradation Denim” is a special line of jeans that has a cool natural blue color that gradually fades. Its straight slim fit emphasizes the natural body line of the wearer, and the back pocket’s studded omega logo draws attention to the hip line.
Lee Hyori’s S-line is in fact magnified by this “Gradation Denim,” which is said to be the best out of any season’s denim.
Fashion magazine High Cut recently unveiled a new photo spread titled “Sleepless Nights in Seattle with Hyun Bin & Tang Wei”, which features behind-the-scene photos of Hyun Bin filming for his movie, “Late Autumn“.
“Late Autumn” is a 1966 remake movie that illustrates a story about a female convict (Tang Wei) who receives a three day parole, during which she falls in love with a man (Hyun Bin) who harbors a dark past himself.
In the photos, you can see Hyun Bin and Tang Wei enjoying the Seattle scenery as they drink coffee at Starbucks and visit the Pike Place Market. Some of Seattle’s famous attraction sites and its infamous fogs are seen melting into the backgrounds of the photoshoot.
The full photo spread will be available for purchase in High Cut’s February edition, as well as on their official website. “Late Autumn” is scheduled to hit the box offices on February 17th.
