2011 Peace Star Cup

19 October:

‘FC Men‘, the celebrity soccer team led by JYJ‘s Junsu, took home the gold trophy at the celebrity soccer championships, ‘2011 Peace Star Cup’.

On October 19th, the FC Men faced off against the Miracle FC (led by gagman Kim Yong Man) at the Suwon World Cup Stadium. In the final round, the FC Men were able to turn the tables and come away with a final score of 4:3.

Junsu, B2ST‘s Doojoon and Kikwang, Park Sung Kwang, and many other teammates were applauded for showing skills on par with that of a professional soccer player. Junsu and Yoon Kyung Shik worked together to shoot a total of four goals for the team.

Doojoon was honored the position of ‘Man of the Year’ by the Samsung Bluewings for his outstanding performance.

16 April:

On April 15th, celebrity soccer team ‘FC Men‘ went against their rivals, the ‘Super Stars‘, at the “2011 Peace Star Cup Celebrity Soccer Championships” and took home a victory with a final score of 1:0.

Although it was FC Men’s first year playing in the championships, they sped to the top thanks to the direction of team captain Kim Junsu of JYJ, who was also chosen as an MVP at the game thanks to his performance as the team’s leader and striker.

After winning the award, Junsu stated, “It’s our first match, and I’m glad that we’ve won it. I’m happiest about the fact that none of our players got hurt. I hope to continue competing against other teams without any injuries.”

He continued, “Although our team promotes good fellowship, we’re also very competitive when it comes to choosing key players. Even though I’m the leader, if I get eliminated, I have to leave the team.”

To his fans, he stated, “We hope that you continue to support the ‘2011 Peace Star Cup.’ There’s still a lot of matches left, and I hope that people continue to come to our matches like all of the support we received today. Thank you so much for your support.”

‘FC Men‘, a celebrity soccer/charity team led by JYJ’s Junsu, will be holding a friendly match against three rival celebrity teams in the “2011 Peace Star Cup Celebrity Soccer Championship.”

FC Men is comprised of JYJ’s Yoochun and Jaejoong, SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong, B2ST’s Doojoon andKikwang, 2AM’s Changmin, Shinhwa’s Minwoo, Kim Jun Ho (Junsu’s brother), Song Joong Ki, Kim Bum, Im Ju Hwan, Park Gun Hyung, Park Sung Gwang and many others.  Soccer player Jung Sung Ryong is the coach/director, and Park Ji Sun is the manager.

FC Men will be going up against Super Stars (led by actor Jung Jun Ho), FC Libero (led by gagman Seo Kyung Suk), and FC Miracle (led by gagman Kim Yong Man).

Junsu wrote a message, that reads:

“Hello, this is the leader of the celebrity soccer team, FC Men.
We are now in the fifth year of the Peace Starcup.
Because we are a team that hasn’t been in existence for that long, and although we are lacking still, I don’t believe that our love for soccer is behind against any of the other teams.

We’re all excited to be able to participate in the Peace Starcup, and because it is a competition started with good intentions, I feel that I can partake in it with a happy heart.

I still can’t fall asleep at the thought of playing soccer against all of the seniors that I respect.  I hope that nobody gets hurt, and that we all enjoy the competition.

I’d love to participate not only this year, but next year as well.
Please give your love for Peace Starcup, and support not only FC Men, but the other teams as well.”
