Super Junior M part 2

31 Mei: Korean boy band mesmerises fans with songs and dances, Article on SJM’s performance for the Malaysian National Youth Day

FOR Super Junior M fans, the Korean boy band’s one-hour performance on Saturday was Perfection and they would have stayed till Blue Tomorrow.
The boys performed at a free concert as part of the ‘One Million Youth Gathering’ in Putrajaya in conjunction with National Youth Day celebrations.
Although only six of the eight-member boy band turned up, the fans did not seem to mind as they screamed their hearts out when the boys appeared on stage.
Members Siwon and Donghae were absent due to filming engagements.
Despite the sweltering heat, the boys were sharply dressed.
They had the fans eating out of their hands, drawing deafening screams whenever they say “sayang” or “I love you”.
They started the show with Perfection and Blue Tomorrow (aka Till Tomorrow) and solo performances by each member.
Ryeowook belted out Teresa Teng’s Wo Zhi Zai Hu Ni (I Only Care About You), Kyuhyun tackled Taiwanese singer A-Mei’s Ru Guo Ni Ye Ting Shuo (Have You Heard) while Zhou Mi tapped into the local flavour by singing Malaysian singer Z-Chen’s 3am.
Henry and Eunhyuk showed off some nifty dance moves, with the latter flaunting Michael Jackson’s moonwalk, eliciting ear-piercing shrieks from the audience.
The boys ended the show with Destiny, one of the songs from their latest EP and their popular hit single Super Girl.
Six lucky fans were picked to meet their idols up close and one girl even cried tears of joy upon meeting her idol.
The guys obligingly shook hands and gave hugs, much to the delight of the die-hard fans.
The boy band, whose members are either of Korean or Chinese descent, is a subgroup of Super Junior. The concert was organised by Marctensia Concerts.

SJ-M says I love you in 3 different languages, ten thousands of fans captivated
(Kuala Lumpur, 29th May) Korean group Super Junior-M (SJ-M) uttered the words “Sayang, I love you! Wo ai ni!” during their concert in Malaysia and this immediately melted the hearts of ten thousands of fans who came to cheer them on. On Saturday, 6 members came to Malaysia to have their concert1, owing to the fact that Donghae and Siwon are currently in Taiwan filming the idol drama <<Extravagant Challenge>>, they were unable to come along with their members to Malaysia.
Shortly after the opening, 6 lucky fans that were drawn were brought on stage to have a close-up interaction with SJ-M, and each fan was allowed to ask their idol one question. After answering the questions, each member used their “killer acts”, and this allowed fans to fulfil their desires! Henry and Ryeowook hugged the female fan, Zhoumi kissed a female fan’s hand while kneeling down on one knee, Kyuhyun2 on the other hand went behind a female fan and hugged her, causing fans beneath the stage to continuously scream and at the same time feel envious. One of the fans who were invited on stage was even moved to tears.

During the solo segment, Zhoumi specially performed a song by his close friend Z-Chen (Zhang Zhi Cheng) titled <<3am in the morning>>, and he also revealed that Malaysian singers Fish Leong and Michael Wong (Guang Liang) are also his best friends. Ryeowook and Kyuhyun each performed songs from their favourite singers which include Teresa Teng’s <<I Only Care About You>> and Zhang Hui Mei’s <<If You Have Heard Before>>. The more special performance was done by Eunhyuk, who had prepared Michael Jackson’s classic moon walk dance for that night’s concert, and even boldly caressed his lower body several times, allowing fans to enjoy his performance “for free”!
Zhoumi3 claimed that he is most shy
Later, the MC asked who is most shy among the 6 members, and Zhoumi3 automatically raised his hands in acknowledgement, he continued saying: “When I become their Chinese language teacher, I will become more strict, I’ll spank their bottoms if they make mistakes!” During the interview session on stage, the 6 members would not obediently remain in their positions, they were always seen teasing each other, and from time to time they’ll “hug” or “kiss” (each other).
Before the end of the concert, all 6 members made a 90-degree bow to the fans twice to bid their fans goodbye, and to signify the end of the concert. They are definitely the most courteous Korean idol group.
SJ-M was invited by the National Youth and Sports Ministry to give a one hour finale performance at the <<Malaysia National Youth Day Event>>. As this event is held free of charge, more than 10000 people attended this event, causing some people to have breathing difficulties; some also felt unwell and passed out, requiring first aid from the medical personnel before being sent to the hospital.

Super Junior-M’s press conference, requested for a song from Michael Wong
Korean popular group Super Junior-M (expressed that) apart from wanting to have a chance to collaborate with A-mei, Zhoumi revealed that he had earlier requested a song from Guang Liang, and at present, it is still under discussion, (but he hopes) that they will be able to successfully receive the song. After launching their 2nd album <<Perfection>>, Super Junior-M has for the first time held an outdoor concert in Malaysia. During the press conference, they expressed that the happiest thing for them is being able to perform the song <<Love is Sweet>> which was written by Jay Chou.
When they were asked about their feelings towards Malaysia, Eunhyuk said: “The fans here are very amiable!” Sungmin said: “Malaysia is a beautiful country and if there is opportunity in the future, he would definitely travel to Malaysia.” Henry on the other hand expressed that: “I’m very happy whenever I visit Malaysia, Malaysia is a multilingual country, be it English, Cantonese or Chinese, everyone would be able to understand!”

They have been living in Taiwan for almost 2 months, and when they were asked how would they rate the Chinese that they have diligently practiced, Eunhyuk took a deep breath and said: “We will give our Chinese…8 marks!” And when they were asked with Chinese phrase left them with the deepest impression, Kyuhyun laughed as he replied saying: “Tai Bu Xiang Hua! (It’s outrageous)” Ryeowook answered: “Hen you geng! (You’ve got guts)” Eunhyuk then suddenly shouted: “The one word that we heard most when we were in Taiwan is fans shouting “Ah!”.”
Apart from that, when they were asked which member is the most perfect, Zhoumi replied using his not so fluent Cantonese: “There is a unique feel to each member, and I belong to the more natural and comfortable category.” Because Zhoumi replied rather slowly (due to the language he is using), the media urged him to reply using Chinese. Zhoumi jokingly said: “I have actually practiced Cantonese for about a year and a half, but because we seldom have activities in Hong Kong, I’m taking this opportunity during our visit here in Malaysia to speak using Cantonese.” When the members were asked on what awards they would wish to challenge, they expressed that they are actually very ambitious, as they have really given so much effort throughout their showbiz journey, they would love to receive every possible award, not wanting to miss out on any of them.

Recently, Super Junior-M took on the stage to perform their title track, “Perfection“. In contrast to the black suits they wore on their first live performance of the song, Super Junior-M was dressed in all white suits.

On May 21st, Super Junior-M held a fan signing in Taipei, Taiwan as a special event for the few lucky fans who were chosen for their “Too Perfect” mini-album promotion.
It wasn’t just the invited fans who showed up, however, as over 4,000 managed to come together to show their support. 
Representatives of SM Entertainment revealed, “Despite the sweltering hot weather that day, fans still showed up in order to see Super Junior-M. It was a day where we all felt the popularity of Super Junior-M, who are growing as one of the top groups in China.”
The boys earned much praise for their fluent Mandarin Chinese and conversed actively with their fans throughout the event. They even performed songs from their album like “命運線” and “到了明天.”
The boys are achieving much success with their “Too Perfect” repackaged album, as it’s currently ranked first for the second week in a row on the Taiwanese album sales chart, CCR, as well as on other charts like FIVE MUSICand 光南.

The official Chinese website of popular idol group Super Junior-M (click here to access the webpage) was formally launched yesterday (May 18th). The official Chinese website would have mainland China as its main site, and the global Chinese market as their target audiences. The website was set up with the intention of providing all fans of Super Junior-M from the Chinese-speaking regions with the quickest and most accurate information, and in addition to that, it will also provide fans with the latest videos in the near future.
On the 29th of April, the repackaged version of Super Junior-M’s album <<Perfection>> was released simultaneously in both Korea and Taiwan, and as soon as the album hit the market, it topped several main record sales charts in Taiwan. It even maintained first place as the best selling album for 2 consecutive weeks on CCR. Apart from this, Super Junior-M was also the champion of the Japanese/Korean artists’ album sales charts. Being overseas singers who perform and release albums in Chinese, the achievements that they have attained are on par with that of Taiwan’s first line singers. Ryeowook’s Chinese is most fluent, Kyuhyun strives to be the number one male singer

SJ-M’s Chinese have improved tremendously, Ryeowook had started learning Chinese much earlier and therefore he speaks the language well. Kyuhyun was also in no way conceding to Ryeowook, as he managed to say an idiom which meant “2 people are able to communicate telepathically without the need for words”, and at the same time he also performed “If You Have Heard Before” without having the need to look at the song lyrics. The original singer A-mei also praised Kyuhyun for his accurate pronunciation, whereas a fan jokingly said that: “Kyuhyun’s ambition of wanting to secure the number one male singer position in the Chinese music industry is back.”
Ryeowook is good at using pinyin, and he often leaves messages on Twitter using Chinese pinyin, and he had also recounted his diary on the radio broadcast of <<I Like Radio>> entirely using Chinese, showing exceptional diligence. Eunhyuk, Kyuhyun, and Donghae recently taught fans how to perform the “taiwanmei” dance for Super Junior-M’s title track, “Perfection“!
Eunhyuk started the tutorial by introducing himself, and sharing that when he was younger, he tried to copy dances that he’d seen in music videos, which was sometimes hard (odd camera angles, etc). Therefore, to make the lives of fans easier, he wanted to show them how to perform the dance without going through the trouble of studying the MV endlessly, and added that he hopes fans will appreciate it.
He then went on to demonstrate the first part of the “taiwanmei” dance, and said that the important point here was your expression and charisma.
The second part of the dance was more difficult, and unfortunately, Eunhyuk made a slight mistake as he forgot the exact choreography. However, they laughed it off, and Eunhyuk assured fans that he remembers the moves better with the music.

SJ-M loves Taiwan, leads South Korean groups for concert
SJ-M will be ending their long stay at the end of the month, and the 8 members, along with South Korean group U-Kiss and Girl’s Day, a total of 20 people attended the press conference before the “I Love You Taiwan! We are Friends” concert, yesterday. SJ-M’s Siwon had his Chinese level tested by the media on the spot, requesting him to act as the translator, but that did not pose any difficulty to him at all.

Late last month, Super Junior-M released a repackaged album for “Too Perfect.”

On May 9th, SM Entertainment revealed that the album has been sweeping Taiwanese music charts ever since its release.
As of the 9th, the album ranked first on many of Taiwan’s weekly sales charts, such as FIVE MUSIC, CCR,and 光南,.
This repackaged album features a re-arrangement of a famous Taiwanese folk song called “西風的話“; Super Junior-M’s Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and Zhoumi delivered an a cappella version by composer Kenzie that’s become quite popular amongst ELFs and local music fans alike.
The boys are also involved in a variety of other activities in Taiwan, such as MCing for a variety program byEast Wind TV. Members Si Won and Donghae are also busy filming for their upcoming drama, “Extravagant Challenge.”

28 April:Super Junior-M, who is active in China and Taiwan, has repackaged their album “Perfection”, and is expected to be on sale simultaneously in South Korea and Taiwan on the 29th (of April).

Popular Korean group Super Junior-M who are currently in Taiwan for a long stay, recently appeared on Dong Feng’s “Let’s Be Friends”, MC Micky Huang offered them the 8-treasure congee* as an analogy of how the 8 members are all precious treasures in the fans’ hearts, causing the members to be very happy.
The extremely charismatic Super Junior-M showed off their talents during the programme; Eunhyuk who has excellent dancing skills showed the “rabbit dance” which he is an expert in, (while) Kyuhyun, who is working hard on improving his Chinese soulfully sang the classic Chinese song “New Endless Love”, and his accurate pronunciation mesmerizing voice stunned all of the audiences.
Zhoumi then imitated Elva Hsiao’s “Miss Chic”, Henry, Donghae and Kyuhyun also went forward to accompany Zhoumi’s dance, the funny dance moves stirred the crowd to burst out into laughter.
Ryeowook and Siwon on the other hand respectively gave a piano performance and an improvisation with the drums, demonstrating their individual musical capabilities. As for Sungmin, who aspires to learn wushu in Taiwan, showed off a small segment using the nunchucks. His serious and engrossed expression caused him to somewhat have the aura and composure of a martial arts expert.
Micky Huang even specially prepared wooden planks which are usually used for Taekwando practices. He initially thought that Siwon, who has a level 4 black belt in Taekwando, would be representing his members to take up the challenge, but instead he pointed to Kyuhyun who was seated behind him, saying “I send my most powerful student”. Micky could not help but comment that, “Siwon’s Chinese has improved to the extent where he can actually set up another member.”
Donghae on the other hand “played tricks” and with that Kyuhyun was up to the crowd’s expectation to break the prepared wooden planks. At this moment, the members started to request for Micky to try it out, and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t break the plank that Donghae was holding, causing him to feel angry and funny at the same time.
As for the “YES OR NO” game, Henry and Donghae were unlucky as they chose the “bitter set meal” which consists of the bitter gourd and bitter tea. Donghae who insisted on saying that the bitter gourd tasted delicious immediately responded with “this is outrageous” when Micky asked him to take another bite, causing Micky to be surprised with his advanced level of Chinese.

Korean group Super Junior-M (abbreviated SJ-M) members are in Taiwan for a long stay to film a drama, study Chinese and yesterday they took advantage of their free time to compete against each other in wrapping Chinese boiled dumplings. Sungmin’s dumplings were wrapped like flowers, Eunhyuk was different to everyone else, he simply mischievously wrapped his dumplings as spring rolls. They are not only skilful with their hands, they are even able to earn money, last year with their main group Super Junior they earned 2.346 billion NTD for SM Entertainment, which included half from foreign earnings in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Japan!
SJ-M members, which include Siwon, Donghae, Ryeowook, Kyuhyun, Henry, Zhou Mi, Eunhyuk and Sungmin, are staying in rented accommodation for their long stay. A few days ago Kyuhyun returned to Korea to perform in a musical and just flew back to Taiwan yesterday, as a result he was absent from the dumpling competition.
Henry’s mother is Taiwanese, but he said frankly: “I’ve only learnt from going on variety programmes, I don’t really know how to wrap them.” While Chinese member Zhou Mi confidently stated that he had helped his mother wrap dumplings since he was a child, his technique was first rate, however in the end his dumplings were disliked by Ryeowook for being ugly.
Ryeowook and Sungmin, who seem unassuming, rapidly wrapped round and flower shaped Korean style dumpling, Sungmin said: “Korean people think that the more beautifully a dumpling is wrapped, the more beautiful the child will be when they are born!”  Eunhyuk used his creativity to score, he wrapped his dumplings into spring rolls; Donghae who is currently working hard to study Chinese could not accurately catch on to the four tones in Chinese, he frequently said dumpling as “sleeping”.
Helping SM to Be King by Earning 2.3 Billion
Korean media yesterday announced the revenue earnings for the three big Korean management agencies, last year on behalf of their company SM Entertainment, SJ and SNSD earnt approximately 2.346 billion NTD, with net profit reaching 581.490 million NTD, beating Big Bang and 2PM from YG Entertainment and JYP Entertainment respectively, to take first place.

As all the ELFs fans should know, Super Junior-M is in Taiwan doing promotions for their album “Perfection” with Eunhyuk and Sungmin. They went on a show call “Yin Yue Feng Yun Bang” in February. The hostess gives off statements that were previous said by the other members to the script writer as she is introducing Eunhyuk and Siwon to the Taiwanese public.

Eunhyuk described himself as having the best body out of the other members. The funny thing is, Sungmin and Siwon agrees that Eunhyuk has very sexy legs. Super Junior M to release “Perfection” Version B
After releasing their mini-album “Perfection” in February, Super Junior M will be releasing a second version of the album this April.
Pre-orders will begin on April 19th, while the album itself will not be released until April 29th. Version B will include two new songs, which are the Korean version of “Perfection” and “Words of the West Wind.”
In addition to the new songs, the album will be available as a CD+DVD with a 64-page lyrics and photobook. The DVD will have the music video of “Perfection” in both Korean and Chinese, and behind-the-scene video of the music video set and photoshoot.

Popular Korean group Super Junior-M (SJM) had a photo shoot for the fashion segment for the first time in Taiwan and they gave their inaugural photo shoot to this newspaper. 8 members respectively represented 8 different types of fashionable guys, assembling Loewe, YSL, Versace, Bvlgari and other first line brand names creating a superstar demeanour. At the photo shoot location’s dressing room, the clothes and accessories were like glittering jewels which gave much delight to the eyes. It resembled a small scale men’s boutique.
SJM has legions of fans following them no matter where they go, with popularity spreading across the whole of Asia. Their popularity is now steadily extending to European countries as well as Middle Eastern countries. They are popular1 like the bright red leather jacket that Siwon wore, Donghae and Eunhyuk complements with a black leather jacket, Zhoumi looking stylish in a black and white blouse, Sungmin gave an elegant interpretation of the vest, Kyuhyun and Ryeowook used their soulful eyes to add character to the simple outfits while only the youngest member Henry wore a suit for the photo shoot, challenging the precocious maturity of a youth.
Zhoumi appreciates Chinese papercutting2
The photoshoot was carried out at the Neihu Art Center which is currently conducting a joint exhibition by 10 artists. Exhibits include arts, papercuttings, embroidery and other art forms. SJ-M found the exhibition fresh and interesting, expressing that it is a very rare opportunity to be able to appreciate art in the midst of their busy schedule. Siwon was especially serious where he repeatedly nodded to compliment the arts. Zhoumi who hails from Wuhan especially admires a 100 yuan papercutting artpiece. “I of course love Chinese yuan, but it is a pity that this piece is damaged3”. He is the only member of Chinese descendant, he said with a smile that while he is in Taiwan, he would love to guest on 《女人我最大》4, expressing his love for Taiwan’s television programmes. He especially likes MC Lan Xin Mei, who starred in a TV show titled 鸡蛋碰石头 over a decade ago.
Siwon makes good use of time to read his script
8 members took turns for the photo shoot, and while waiting for his turn, Siwon was working hard to memorise his lines in the script as he will be starring in the upcoming idol drama “Extravagant Challenge”. Ryeowook was also very serious but he was reading his own notes in his Chinese diary. He is recognised by the members as the one who had made the biggest progress in terms of learning Chinese. Kyuhyun on the other hand was spotted yawning as he stayed up the night before to watch a Taiwanese movie titled 《聽說》5. He watched the movie alone while drinking red wine and is thus deemed as a person who knows how to enjoy life.
Henry’s mum is from Pingdong
Who is the vain one among the members? Zhoumi was chosen because he loves shopping and buying skincare products. Who has the best body and who is the sexiest? Eunhyuk without hesitation said “I have a good shoulder line and six pack abs”. Ryeowook also gave him his vote. A beautiful melody can be heard in the photo shoot location and it was actually Henry making a spontaneous improvisation on the piano. Henry started learning piano and violin when he was 6. His mother is from Pingdong while his father is from Hong Kong. Henry has an adorable baby face making it difficult for people to make out his age. He joked saying that he is only 15 causing people around him to both doubt and believe at the same time. In the end he confessed that he is already 21.
Donghae likes Taiwan girls
SJM are having a 2 months long stay in Taiwan. They recorded a travel programme not too long ago where they went to Pingxi to release the sky lantern and to taste the stinky tofu. In order to understand Taiwan’s culture, members are diligently learning Chinese. They tested Sungmin on his Chinese level, and he pieced together a sentence which said: “My Chinese teacher is abnormal.” causing people to immediately spurt their rice, showing his potential in variety shows. Donghae said that Taiwan girls are very attractive and has a deep impression of model Lin Zhi Ling, openly declaring: “I’m a fan of her movies!”

To celebrate SJ-M’s 3rd anniversary, Taiwan fans specially selected the LED wall at the Zhongshan and Minquan intersection in Taipei city to broadcast the celebratory video. The broadcast period will be from April 7th till April 10th, and the 30 second video will be played hourly everyday from 7am till 11pm.
SJ-M has made an extravagant comeback with their second mini-album “Perfection” in February. At the same time, 2 new members: Sungmin and Eunhyuk were added into the group. SJ-M members are currently in Taiwan for a long stay. Besides that, on April 6th, Super Junior’s fans, with the name Super Junior (TW ELF) will be sending 960000 Yen worth of donations to the Japanese Exchange Association in Taiwan to support the earthquake relief in north-eastern Japan.

SJM Breaks Big Bang’s Consecutive #1 Rank
For the month of March, Big Bang was ranked #1 on Sports Chosun’s 2011 Musician Power Ranking for 4 weeks. However, on the 5th week, SJM broke Big Bang’s hold of the #1 position. Currently, promoting ‘Tai Wan Mei”, the song is targeted for the Chinese music industry, thus they have not officially broadcasted it in Korea. But with the help of their fanclub, ELF, SJM was able to take hold of the #1 position. Currently, they are leading with more than 17,000 votes for week one of April.
