On January 27th, gagman Yoon Suk Joo uploaded a photo on his me2day, writing, “Picture with my close same-age friend, Taeyang”.
The photo has become the center of attention for many netizens, who noticed the uncanny resemblance between the two friends with similar eye smiles.
Netizens have responded to the humorous post by writing, “You guys look strangely similar!”, “Not just same age, but same face!”, and “Both look similar, but of course Taeyang is better!”
The idol donned a giant bear head on set and convinced someone to take his photos while he posed with it on.
Taeyang introduced himself as “MR. TEYDADDY” before unleashing his photo rampage on Twitter. While the name seems pretty droll at first, it takes on a hipster sheen when paired with his leather studded outfit and gigantic teddy head. It’s almost like a scene from a movie (or a Ke$ha video), where the main character has a wild night on the town and doesn’t remember what happened until he wakes up and sees the evidence.
Taeyang then chose to wear a panda head, only this time he opted for ‘dorky’ instead ‘cool’. He pretended to be an animal mascot at a theme park by bashfully covering his eyes and exhibiting overly-cute poses.
The Big Bang member concluded his photo series with, “Bears are awesome!”

He began, “We went through a lot of obstacles this year, but that has made our friendship that much stronger.”
Taeyang’s already known to be the best friend of G-Dragon, having joined YG Entertainment together when they were just little kids. Taeyang expressed, “As a friend, I was upset about what happened to Jiyong. Jiyong will always be a friend that is closer than family to me. Even if worse things were to happen, I’ll never be able to let go of his hand. I believe that this goes the same for Jiyong. To me, Jiyong is a friend that I’ll be with forever.”
In October, a Twitter post that he had made became the source of controversy once G-Dragon’s marijuana case broke out. For the first time, he opened up by stating, “What I wrote had nothing to do with Jiyong at all. It was just my thoughts on the world. It made me really upset that my words were being misunderstood like that.”
Taeyang also made sure to touch on his friendships with the rest of the members. “Big Bang is still living in a dorm together. It has come to a point where we don’t need to say everything outloud in order to understand one another, just like how families are… During break, we got together to work on a lot of songs. Many new songs have already been made. We’re just putting the finishing touches on our album now.”
When asked about Big Bang’s plans for 2012, he concluded, “We’ve had an annual concert named ‘Big Show’, and that will take place in March in 2012. We’re also going to release an album around that time… In 2012, Big Bang will be working to promote actively and pay back our fans who have trusted us with great music. Of course, my solo album, which I’m currently working on in addition to Big Bang’s album, will also be released.”
10 December:
On December 10th, Big Bang‘s Taeyang posted a video where he covered Beyonce‘s “Miss You“.
On his official twitter account, he wrote: “check me out singing beyonce miss you(frank’s ocean version) and thank you j hyung for filming this video!puhahahah!” and also shared the link to the video on YouTube.
The video was uploaded on the appropriately named YouTube channel THETEYDADDY.
Netizens who saw the video wrote, “Beautiful. So beautiful“, “I love you Taeyang“, and “Please post more covers“.

The photo was of Taeyang was when he was just a toddler. The charismatic dancing king had milky clear skin and chubby rosy cheeks when he was younger, with bright red lips to match. His round eyes and tiny nose made fans squeal in delight.

In the picture, Taeyang is donning sunglasses and a baseball cap while making a funny but cute facial expression. But more so than Taeyang’s outfit, it was his bag and the sofa on which his bag was resting that caught the attention of netizens.
Both the bag and the sofa were from high end luxury brands, and some netizens admitted they were more interested in the price of the items, rather than Taeyang himself!

It appears that Taeyang has come to Los Angeles!
His photos from yesterday revealed that he was relaxing by the local beaches, and his first photo today showed that he made a stop by the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He tweeted, ”MJ your [sic] always in my heart“, as he posed with Michael Jackson’s Walk of Fame star.
Later he uploaded a picture from Big Bang’s “Tonight” music video saying, “This photo was taken at the M/V ‘Tonight’ :)“.
The star must’ve felt a rush of affection for his fans, as he later posted, “I suddenly miss you guys.. :(“.
Fans commented, “I wish I was there to meet you!” “You look great as always!” and “We miss you too!”

With three new pictures, the start tweeted as captions, “What’s the deal Choice..!”, “Yup..! I’m riding a chopper”, and, “Wordup sun..:)”
In the photos, Taeyang is ironically not riding a chopper, but rather he is riding what looks to be a fancy tricycle. Regardless, he seems to be thoroughly enjoying himself.

Taeyang turns 23 on May 18th and he has taken to the internet to give a shoutout to his fans!

Following the reveal of G-Dragon and T.O.P., a teaser of Taeyang’s D-5 was finally posted up! Looking as chic and sexy as ever in a sleek black suit, Taeyang can be seen biting his lip while giving his accessories one last check.
The line, “I need a girl who is like you…,” leaves fans guessing once again whether it’s a lyric in their new song. Only five more days until we find out!

On March 26th, Taeyang tweeted, ”10 corsocomo X bigbang“, which hinted at Big Bang’s upcoming fashion collaboration with ‘10 corsocomo’.

During the show, Lee Soo Young asked Taeyang, “Recently IU revealed that, ‘My ideal type is Taeyang, and it won’t change anymore.’ How do you feel about that?”
Taeyang answered, “She’s really not changing? I think she’s going to change…,” which brought laughter to the studio.
Taeyang continued, “It’s an honor [she chose me as her ideal type].” When asked about his own ideal type, Taeyang replied, “I don’t have a set type. I’m the kind of person to like someone after spending time with someone and getting close to them.”
