Actor Jang Geun Suk will be revealing his day-to-day activities through a Japanese Fuji TVdocumentary.
According to the famous Japanese rank chart Oricon, Fuji TV has created a documentary titled ‘World Prince‘ featuring Jang Geun Suk and will reveal images of the actor from last October-December.
The program will cover where the actor attends school, his day-to-day activities at home, as well as him hard at work. The Japanese media has reported that Jang Geun Suk has never before revealed his daily life to the public and the program is garnering special interest.
The actor made his name and face known in Japan through hit drama series, ‘You’re Beautiful‘, and released an album last May. With the song, Jang Geun Seuk became the first overseas singer to secure the #1 spot on the Oricon Singles chart. The singer/actor also completed his arena tour last October, covering Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo. He also created a special event for his fans at the Tokyo Dome.
Jang Geun Suk has been extremely busy as of late, as his movie ‘You’re My Pet‘ also makes it’s debut in Japan this February. While filming his documentary, the staff members reportedly praised him for agreeing to do the shoot even though he is already juggling a lot on his plate.
Both Korea and Japan had agreed to film the documentary, and it began airing in Korea on the 1st through KBS 2TV titled ‘The Focus of the New Hallyu – I Am Jang Geun Suk‘.

Last month, Jang Geun Suk made a donation of $1.2 million USD and asked the media not to report on it. Netizens didn’t find out until the school released their list of donators’ names on the university homepage.
Titled the ‘Jang Geun Suk Scholarship Fund’, the donation will be used for students in the acting and film department. Students with outstanding grades and/or in tough financial situations will have 50% of their total tuition covered by the fund.
Hanyang University stated, “Jang intended for the donation to be used to help students in difficult financial situations who still work to study hard. We will be planning the distribution of the donation so that many students can benefit from it.”
Jang Geun Suk himself is currently a senior at Hanyang University.

The Hallyu icon received the ‘World Star Award‘ at the third annual 2011 Asia Jewelry Awards held at the Intercontinental Hotel on December 6th. In order to greet all of his Japanese fans that traveled to attend the event, Jang Geun Suk expressed his emotions in Japanese by proudly remarking, “It says ‘World Star’.”
“I know that the title may not suit me quite yet, but it’s something I’ve dreamed about since I was young,” he said. “If I am given the opportunity, I will work ’til death to become one,” he continued, earning the warm applause of the audience.
This year’s third annual Asia Jewelry Awards were held in an effort to spread more awareness of Korean culture and the excellence of Korean jewelry design. The hottest stars as well as multiple corporations were in attendance and they promoted ‘noblesse oblige’, the idea that the noble must first reach out to help those who are less fortunate.
Group JYJ won the ‘World K-POP Superstar Award‘, T-ARA and MBLAQ won the ‘Diamond Award‘ under the musical artists category, and Joo Sang Wook as well as Moon Chae Won won the ‘Diamond Award‘ under the actor/actress category. Additionally, Uhm Ji Won and Lee Jae Hwang were awarded the ‘Sapphire Award‘, while Lee Seung Hyo and Lee Haein were awarded the ‘Ruby Award‘.

On November 17th, Tree J Company stated that all 45,000 seats for the actor’s solo concert, ‘Jang Geun Suk 2011 The Cri Show in Tokyo Dome – The Beginning’, have all been claimed.
Fans were excited to hear about the concept Jang Geun Suk had personally crafted for the concert, aptly called ‘Prince World‘. ‘Prince World’ will invite the audience to step into Jang Geun Suk’s life by introducing the actor’s bedroom, club, living room, and stage.
Jang Geun Suk’s close friends Big Brother, Verbal Jint, and Park Shin Hye will also be making guest appearances during the concert as well.
Tree J Company stated, “This will be a meaningful concert with Jang Geun Suk’s official fan club reaching a second term on December 20th; we can all strengthen our hearts to start the new year. Jang Geun Suk’s charisma will radiate once again.”

Actor Jang Geun Suk has announced that he will be closing his Twitter account.
On November 12th, Jang Geun Suk tweeted,
“Though I have learned a lot from Twitter through my conversations with the world, I can’t take anymore distortions.. And so, I will be shutting down my Twitter at midnight tonight.. If you still want to play with me, come to the Jang Geun Suk app…“
Fans flooded the star’s Twitter with dismayed comments like “Geun Suk, please don’t go” and “Why are you leaving??”
In response, Jang Geun Suk explained,

On September 26th, Jang Geun Suk‘s agency, Tree J Company, reported that the ’2011 Jang Geun Suk in JAPAN ALWAYS CLOSE TO TOU’ tour sold out of 60,000 tickets in a matter of five minutes.
Jang Geun Suk will tour around three cities in Japan including Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo during the month of October.
Tree J Company stated, “With Jang Geun Suk’s Japan tour experience last year and the positive response to this year’s Asis tour performance, we have decided to prepare this Japan arena tour.”
The tour this time around will feature a fairytale like concept featuring Jang Geun Suk as the prince of a forest. The show will consist of a combination of a musical and a concert. Jang Geun Suk will create the story line that will be acted out during the first half of the show. The show will start off with his hit debut song, “Let Me Cry,” and venture into various songs from dance, ballad, and rock genres. In addition, the special effects and the DJ show put on by Lounge H, are guaranteed to wow fans.

Actor Jang Geun Suk recently expressed his disbelief about the unexpected love scandal between him and Japanese model, Makimu.
On September 7th, Japanese press reporters announced that actor Jang Geun Suk was currently in a deep relationship with Makimu. They also claimed that the two met two months ago in Japan and fell in love.
Representatives of Jang Geun Suk’s agency had a phone conversation with OSEN and revealed that the actor is not in a relationship and said, “The press claims were so ridiculous that we did not even bother to say anything about it.”
Jang Geun Suk’s representatives further explained that people might have taken it the wrong way when the actor went to a restaurant with his companions in Japan. His friend’s cousin made a reservation, and Makimu just happened to visit the same restaurant out of coincidence. Representatives stressed that, “The two did not exchange phone numbers. Popular actor and singer Jang Geun Suk recently was a guest on MBC’s “Knee-Drop Guru” and on the show he revealed his urge to be friends with Lee Seung Gi.
The “Asian Prince” filmed the episode on August 31th at MBC’s Dream Center in Ilsan, and spoke about a variety of topics including his international fame and quick rise to the top of the Oricon music charts. However, what received the most attention was his revelation of wanting to be friends with Lee Seung Gi. Jang Geun Suk stated, “I really would like to be friends with Lee Seung Gi since we’re the same age.”
In the beginning of the recording, Jang Geun Suk was observed as being very nervous and shy, but over time he loosened up. His humorous and witty side shone through, and he was able to speak eloquently.

The shoot which took place on June 29th was kept top secret, as Jang Geun Suk was visiting Japan for the release of his first official photo collection. Jang Geun Suk was featured on the program’s cooking competition corner, ‘Bistro SMAP‘, and displayed his humor and charm.
Jang Geun Suk maintained a lively atmosphere throughout the shoot by dancing with the SMAP members, and it’s reported by the staff that the atmosphere peaked when Jang Geun Suk praisedTakuya Kimura’s dishes by repeatedly commenting, “delicious!”, in Japanese.

Jang Geun Suk, who is currently shaking up Japan with his rising popularity, will host a big-scale showcase on March 27th at the Tokyo ‘Big Site’ Concert; the showcase will invite 18,000 audience members and over 40,000 fans have already applied for the tickets.
Jang Geun Suk was delighted to hear that all of the showcase tickets have been sold out stating, “I have wonderful memories meeting with fans through various stages like the Asia Tour, so I’m very excited about this showcase.” He promised to do his best to “thank the fans with good music and a spectacular stage.”
On March 3rd, a press conference was held at the Ibaraki prefecture for the upcoming adaptation, ‘You are My Pet.’ At the event, Jang Geun Suk met with 3,500 media members and fans. Over 20,000 fans, however, had requested to attend the event.
Various Japanese daily newspapers as well as big networks such as NHK covered the ‘You are My Pet’ press conference. The Sankei Sports newspaper, for example, compared Jang Geun Suk’s popularity to a ’storm.’ The paper reported that all of the natto cookies were sold in various stores around Japan when Jang Geun Suk said he likes natto at the press conference.
Jang Geun Suk will release his first official Japanese single on March 23rd, and host a large-scale showcase on March 27th in Tokyo.

Multi-talented entertainer Jang Geun Suk is gearing up to drop his debut Japanese single, “Let Me Cry“, on March 23rd.
Although its official release date is still a few weeks away, fans can bide the time by listening to the audio for “Let Me Cry”. It’s a great rock song that shows a different side to Jang Geun Suk’s musicality.
The single will be available in two formats: CD-only and CD+DVD. To celebrate its release, the star will be holding a special live showcase on March 27th for his fans in Japan.

Jang Geun Suk telah menunjukkan amazing vocal skills pada beberapa drama OST, dan mendapat banya perhatian dari fans Jepang karena Asia Tour tahun lalu.

Ia meninggalkan China pada 2 Januari, dan ia ditunggui oleh ratusan fansnya di arrival section. Setelaj menyelesaikan filming di China, Jang Geun Suk pergi ke Thailand pada tgl 5, dan juga ditunggu oleh ratusan fans.
Jang Geun Suk berkomentar, “From the 2nd to the 5th, from China to Thailand, busy with filming for local ads and I felt paralyzed at the airports.”
