SS501‘s Kim Hyung Jun will be releasing his first solo DVD.
Agency S-Plus Entertainment stated, “The DVD will contain footage from Kim Hyung Jun’s performances in Japan, including his concert on November 10th.” The singer decided to release the DVD after receiving constant requests by fans.
The DVD will also contain the remixed version of “My Girl” as well as his new single, “Sleepless Night“. Fans will find a life-sized poster and other gifts with the DVD.
In related news, Kim Hyung Jun will be holding a fan signing event on November 13th in Korea.

On August 3rd, the charismatic singer threw the “Two! Five!” mini concert for his 25th birthday at theYonsei University 100th Memorial Concert Hall which is located in Seodaemun gu, Seoul.
He started the concert by singing his hit song, ‘My girl’ at 7PM. 600 fans greeted him by yelling out a loud cheer when he finally appeared on stage.
After his first song, Hyung Jun stated, “I prepared a lot for this, please keep your eye on me, and enjoy the show”.
After that, he greeted the fans singing “Sleepless Night” which was recently released in Japan, he also sang “If this Night Passes”.
Kim Hyung Jun also stated, “I just came back from Japan after my first Japanese single” and also added that he has worked very hard similar to that of a rookie performer. He also mentioned that he will be holding a fan signing event and will also appear on upcoming broadcasts.
Besides the concert itself, there were fun side events such as a lottery raffle for various prizes. All in all, he made the atmosphere fun with his quick wit and jokes. He also spent some time cutting his 25th birthday cake, and opened lovely birthday gifts that were given to him by his beloved fans.
His good friend, comedian Han Min Kwan, MC’ed the event. His younger brother Ki Bum and G.O fromMBLAQ also made a special guest appearance.
Kim Hyung Jun concluded the event by inviting fans who won the main lottery raffle to the stage, and gave them some presents, he also took pictures together with the winners.

SS501’s Kim Hyung Jun is scheduled to officially release his Japanese single, “Long Night” on July 27th but before that happens, the music video for this track was revealed.
Kim Hyung Jun unveiled the song to his fans at the Yokohama K-Pop! Now event last week on July 6th.

On June 30th, Kim Hyung Jun tweeted,
“It is the first memorial of Yong Ha-hyung, who was my strength and cared for me. I believe that although he can’t be with us now, he will always be with me in my heart and in the hearts of many people. I love you. Be joyful in heaven and watch over us. I will never forget you.“
Many fans gathered at the first memorial service for the late Park Yong Ha at the site of his burial in Paju, Gyeonggi-do. About 1,500 of the fans in attendance were from Japan.

Tickets for the event sold out prior to the concert, and Kim Hyung Jun was greeted by 300 fans upon his arrival at the airport. His popularity overseas proved to be explosive, as fans holding placards and baskets of presents followed his every move, even renting a bus to follow his whereabouts.
Major Singaporean media outlets covered the special events. Performances included all of his solo album and SS501’s “U R Man.” Kim Hyung Jun prepared other events specifically for his fans where he drew their portraits, sang “I Am“, opened a ‘high touch’ event, and even passed out autographed posters.
This tour will continue on to Hong Kong on July 17th and Taiwan on the 24th. As fans already know, Kim Hyung Jun signed with Avex so he will also be performing in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya in July.
On the morning of June 18th, Kim Hyung Jun uploaded a photo on his Twitter showing himself with a pair of sunglasses on. The caption read, “Now starting off for Jakarta. Let’s run like my body’s going to collapse. So I can forget everything.” For the ones who don’t know, Jakarta is the capital city of Indonesia.
In the photo, Kim Hyung Jun is shown sporting a black t-shirt and black sunglasses. His newly brown-dyed short hair especially accentuates Kim Hyung Jun’s masculine charms, in contrast to his usual ‘flower boy’-like image.
Upon seeing this photo, netizens have shown interest, “His aura changed but I can’t tell how”, “His wild charms suit him better than a fragile beauty image”, and “Why are you going to Jakarta?”.
6 April:After wrapping up his whirlwind promotions for his first mini-album “My Girl” last month, many fans thought that Kim Hyung Jun had gone under the radar. As it turns out, the SS501 star was working on the Japanese version of his Korean title track, “oH! aH!“.
Released through Avex Japan’s official Youtube channel, the Japanese MV for “oH! ah!“ retains the same elements as its Korean counterpart. Whether he’s sitting or dancing, Kim Hyung Jun is surrounded by beautiful women throughout the video.

He stated, “The best thing is that I have the cameras all to myself (laughter). It feels like I’ve become lighter. I’m almost upset that my body isn’t moving as fast as I want it to because I want to just go out there and try everything there is. I’m trying to suppress that, however.”

Even without any outside advice, he’s led a busy career on his own thus far. Kim Hyung Jun is currently the DJ for SBS’s “Kim Hyung Jun’s Music High“, but before that, he’s performed for the musical “Caffeine“, and even ran his own reality program, “Hyung Jun’s Game Team“. Next month, he’ll be starting his Japanese promotions, which will be followed by an Asian tour in May.
When the reporter pointed out the whirlwind nature of his schedule, Kim Hyung Jun explained, “I’ve always wanted to do so many things. It’s not that I’m jealous of the success of others, but I was always hoping for opportunities. Before, all I did was pester for it, but now I’ve matured enough to discuss things and try to balance stuff out. As I work to find common ground, I learn things about myself that I never knew before. Do I seem like an adult now?”
To prepare for his solo, Kim Hyung Jun dedicated all his energy into perfecting his first solo stage. He hoped to use “Girl“, a strong dance track, as a ’smasher’ that would leave a strong first impression. Afterwards, he sought to switch it up by opting for a song that would be more soothing. In the end, Kim Hyung Jun ended up choosing “oH! aH!” as his title track because of its friendly appeal.
“I liked that ‘Girl’ emphasized a strong hook, and I thought it was okay to be greedy then. Others, however, thought that what I needed as a more easy-going melody. I think that choosing E-TRIBEhyung’s track was a good decision in the end. I’m trying not to rush things, this is just the beginning after all.”
While preparing for his solo, Kim Hyung Jun stated that he tried not to become too satisfied with anything, and worked diligently in learning how to stand on his own by lowering his sight and judging himself coldly.
He concluded, “I’m trying to become cold, if that’s possible. If even I sometimes think that my stages are awkward, how would others view it? I have to be more flexible and capable. My stage? I’d rate it 50 points out of a 100.”

Fellow member Park Jung Min and younger brother Kim Ki Bum attended the event in support of his solo debut, and watched on as he proceeded to perform his title track, “oH! aH!,” amongst other songs, as well as unveil his music video for the first time.
Through a short press conference with reporters, Kim Hyung Jun revealed his plans for his future activities, as well as the meaning of his album.
He explained that although “My Girl” seemed like a song about love, the album’s overall message was meant to express his desire to become closer with his fans. Kim Hyung Jun stated, “I know that working solo is hard, but it was thanks to the fans that were always there shouting for me and looking for me that I was able to choose this path, knowing that it will be difficult.”
His mini album will drop on March 8th, which will be followed by a large-scale promotion covering all of Asia.

His agency, S Plus Entertainment, revealed, “Kim Hyung Jun is currently preparing for the release of his album, and is also planning for an Asian tour. He’ll be promoting actively this year, and hopes to show a unique side to himself.”

After releasing his debut solo track “Girl” through various online music sites earlier today, SS501’s Kim Hyung Jun has followed up with the release of not one, but two teasers for his music video!
Fans guessed true when they pointed out that the girl in Kim Hyung Jun’s tweet would be in his music video. Though her identity still remains a mystery, we’ll be sure to find out more as the music video nears its release.
We can also expect a ‘normal’ (or ’story’) version in addition to a ‘dance’ version of the music video as well. Check out the two teasers below!

SS501’s Kim Hyung Jun released his solo debut track, “Girl“!
The track was previously revealed during SS501 concerts and it received much love amongst fans. Indeed, fans may love it even more when they discover that the song was re-arranged to become his gesture of gratitude for everyone stood by his side.
Produced by hit composer Rado (the man behind B2ST’s “Soom” and MBLAQ’s “Stay“), “Girl” features a pop-dance rhythm with an addictive melody which is tempered by Kim Hyung Jun’s mature voice.
The star also teased fans with a photo of a beautiful lady on his Twitter, and fans are assuming that its a hint of the featured ‘girl’ in his upcoming music video.

On February 19th, SS501’s Kim Hyung Joon officially kicked off his solo activities through a special showcase in Tokyo in celebration of his upcoming album release.
Held at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel, the idol established his official Japanese fanclub at the event, and revealed show clips from his musical, “Caffeine“.
During the second part of the showcase, Kim Hyung Joon captivated his 3,000 fans at the event by delivering charismatic covers of EXILE’s “Tada Aitakute“, SS501’s “U R Man“, and many more.
A representative of AVEX praised, “For four hours, Kim Hyung Joon presented perfect stages. We are looking forward to his solo album becoming a mega hit in both Korea and Japan.”
S Plus Entertainment added, “We are also currently planning his solo album showcase for Korea. An Asian tour is also in the works, and the schedule will be revealed soon.”
The idol returned to Korea on the 20th and is finalizing his preparations for his solo activities.

S Plus Entertainment, menyatakan, “In the future, Kim Hyung Joon will be working as a solo artist in both Korea and Japan. Out of all the SS501 members, Kim Hyung Joon is the one who’s scheduled with the earliest Japanese debut.”
“Along with his appearance in his musical, ‘Caffeine,‘ he’s been preparing for his solo album as well. As soon as the musical ends on the 23rd, he’ll be finalizing his album recordings, and will plan a variety of activities with Avex. We’ll be releasing the information to the Korean fans as soon as details are finalized. Upon the completion of his Korean schedules, Kim Hyung Joon will be heading over to Japan.”
