Actor Kim Sung Oh has confessed that he felt sorry for his “Secret Garden” castmate Hyun Bin.
On April 1st, Kim Sung Oh attended a press gathering for his new drama, “Midas“, where he was asked if he had seen the recent photos of Hyun Bin training with the marines.
Kim Sung Oh caused everyone to laugh when he responded, “I feel nothing but sympathy for him. Do girls look at that and think that he looks cool? I felt sorry.”
Seeming to sense the female fans, he continued, “As his personal assistant, I should pay him a visit.., I’m also thinking about writing him a consolatory letter.”
He finished off by saying, “Before he went to serve in the military, I asked Hyun Bin, ‘Why did you make that decision?’ Seeing the pictures, it seems like he himself is regretting it. However, the picture of him holding the gun was cool.”
Kim Sung Oh will be showing his acting versatility once more, by playing the role of Jang Hyuk’s younger brother, ‘Kim Doh Chul‘, in “Midas”.
On April 1st, Nh Min Woo attended a press conference for his new drama, ”Midas“.
He revealed,
“My character in the show, ‘Yoo Myung Jun‘, has cancer. It hasn’t come out in the script yet but the cancer that Yoo Myung Jun has is pancreatic cancer, just like Steve Jobs. Hence, I have to express that he is getting more and more thin. So far I’ve lost 9.5 kg.“
When told that No Min Woo reminded people of actor Kim Myung Min, who lost a significant amount of weight to play a terminally ill patient in the movie “My Love By My Side“, he said, “I think I will have to lose about that much weight. I have to continue to lose weight.”
He continued,
“On my days off, I do aerobic exercises and eat salad. My body trembles while filming because it lacks energy. However, by acting when completely out of energy, my breathing changes. Also, my heart for ‘Jung Yeon’ (Lee Min Jung) grows stronger and more sorrowful… Being that I’m so hungry lately, I wish that Myung Jun set up a bakery in the program.“
No Min Woo’s role is that of a wealthy playboy who changes his ways once he meets a girl. After being diagnosed with cancer, he begins to pour out the remainder of his life to Jung Yeon.

On the morning of March 20th, actor Noh Min Woo shared a photo from the set of SBS’s “Midas” and set the hearts of his female fans ablaze with his sexy collarbone.
He tweeted, “I am concentrating. Over.“ Currently playing the role of the younger brother in a wealthy family, the picture shows him with a guitar in hand.
Fans commented, “His collarbone is prettier than most girls,” “He’s such a lump of charms,” and “Such a variety of charms, Noh Min Woo fighting!”

In the drama, Lee Min Jung plays a nurse in charge of VIP patients at a fictional hospital. She prepared for her role by receiving real training from actual nurses! She was taught how to use stethoscopes and how to handle needles; to the surprise of her staff, she picked up both skills quite quickly. It’s also being said that she would contact the nurses for reference frequently during her recording, in order to further perfect her acting.
PD Nam Tae Jin commented, “In order to bring out the character of ‘Jung Yeon‘ more naturally, she received live training from nurses. Like a professional, her concentration level was extraordinary. Thanks to her efforts, the drama was able to show a natural side to her acting, much like a real white-robed nurse.”

5 Maret: On March 4th, teaser photos of SBS’s ‘Midas‘ were released on the official website. It appears that actor No Min Woo will be showing off his guitar skills in an upcoming episode.
In the photos, No Min Woo is found in a leopard print jacket, rocking out on his electric guitar. The actor also posted similar pictures to his Twitter, saying,

Prior to his acting career, Noh Min Woo was a member of TRAX. While he served as the drummer in TRAX, he is also skilled at the guitar and piano. In 2009, he produced a mini-album for the movie ‘Story of Wine‘ in which he wrote, composed, and sang all of the songs (except one, which featured the vocals of SNSD’s Sunny). At the press conference for “Midas” on February 21st, Lee Min Jung had stated, “In ‘Boys Over Flowers,’ I wore a wedding dress but wasn’t able to get married. In ‘Smile, You‘, I also wore a wedding dress, but the wedding was called off soon after.”
Her third time will be marked in the upcoming “Midas” episode, scheduled for broadcast on February 28th. Lee Min Jung and her fiance, Jang Hyuk, will be seen at a wedding boutique store in Seoul, where the glowing bride-to-be tries on numerous dresses for her beloved. Although her fiancee is dazzled with her beauty, he later receives a call from another character and abruptly leaves the scene. Eventually, the wedding is canceled again.
At the press conference, she continued, “I wore a wedding dress this time (for Midas), but I wasn’t able to get married again. While recording the scene, I wondered what kind of coincidence this was. How could I wear three wedding dresses in a row, and not once get married?”

After completing KBS’s “Chuno” last March, “Midas” marks the actor’s first return in a little under a year. He was previously revealed to have declined Hyun Bin’s role during his hiatus, to which he commented, “‘Secret Garden’ was an excellent work, and I’m glad that Hyun Bin participated in it and has now become an actor with a deeper quality to him than before. I’ll be working harder in ‘Midas’ in an effort to express my character well instead.”
When asked about his standards in choosing work, he replied, “I consider whether the character fits me, and whether I’ll be able to create him. I also consider my communication level with those I’ll be working with.”
Jang Hyuk will be playing the role of ‘Kim Do Hyun,’ a perfect elite that puts his life on the line for his greed over money. ”Midas” which also stars Kim Hee Ae, Lee Min Jung and No Min Woo will begin airing at 9:55 PM KST on February 22nd, taking over from Athena through SBS.
