It has just been reported that B2ST‘s Kikwang sprained his ankle while on the set of ‘I’m a Flower Too’.
On December 10th, Kikwang pulled a ligament while exercising during his break time between filming. He was taken to the hospital and had a short leg cast put on.
Cube Entertainment told Star News on December 11th, “Although it’s not a severe injury that affects his ability to walk greatly, he had the short leg cast put on him for fast recovery.”
Kikwang is scheduled to perform on stage with the other artists from Cube Entertainment for the‘United Cube Concert’ in Brazil on December 13th (local time).
The agency stated, “He will go on stage after we have determined his health condition. However, since this is not a big injury, we expect that he will be okay to perform on stage.”
Kikwang will be leaving for Brazil later today after finishing the filming for ‘I’m a Flower Too’.

On December 1st, Kikwang tweeted, “Ah~ since I ate lots of food in the morning, I shall present to you something in return hoho. Chick Maru~!! keke Take it! Hope you’ll get some energy after seeing this!! Way to go!!”
The bright lighting, yellow poncho, and Kikwang’s bright smile gave fans a boost of energy, as the idol had hoped.
Kikwang is currently tackling his supporting role as rookie cop ‘Maru’ in Lee Ji Ah and Yoon Si Yoon‘s new drama.

Differing from other idol stars that land main roles in dramas based on their popularity and fame alone, Kikwang started off his acting career with a small role and built experience over time to take on bigger, more important roles.
He started off with ‘HighKick‘, and moved on to ‘My Princess‘, and has now been cast in the new hit drama series, ‘I’m a Flower, Too‘. Enews24 recently sat down with Kikwang at a press conference for ‘I’m a Flower, Too’ on the 31st to discuss his career.
-What kind of role have you taken on this time around?
“I play the role of a rookie cop named Cho Maru. Its not the name of a Korean potato soup place (laughs). Maru falls in love at first sight with Bongsun (Lee Ji Ah), and he is a warm and fun character. I hope you guys will support me in the drama, even though my acting may be a little lacking.”

-You only had a few scenes in your last drama, ‘My Princess’, leaving fans wanting more. Is it different this time around?
“I have a lot more scenes now, and I think my fans will be able to see the actor Lee Kikwang in this project. There are a lot of fun and comical scenes that viewers can look forward to.”

“I’m really comfortable with Siyoon hyung. I’m glad I get to work with him again… we joke around a lot during our breaks. We try to encourage each other while filming.“

-Who gives you the most pointers when you are on set?
“The director gives me pointers and advice when we film. I am working hard to be a lot more natural in my acting.”

-There are a lot of idol stars that are landing roles in new dramas. Any that you consider to be your competition?
“I don’t know about that, but I really look up to my senior Rain as both a singer and an actor. I wondered to myself how as a singer, he acted so flawlessly in ‘Full House‘, and I remember thinking that I wanted to be just like him.”

“Actor Kikwang is still very awkward. I actually cringe when I watch my scenes on TV, although when I watch myself perform on stage it doesn’t look weird…”

Just following B2ST‘s 700th day-anniversary is member Kikwang‘s 900th day-anniversary, which he’ll celebrate on September 18th. As most fans know by now, Kikwang initially debuted under the name ‘AJ‘ and briefly had a solo career before joining B2ST.
Kikwang wrote a message of thanks to his fans on Twitter, saying, “It’s been 900 days since I first made my debut. I feel that time has gone by so fast. Thank you so very much to the fans who give me their love and support. It’s because of all of you that I find the strength to continue working hard. Please give more love to our B2ST into the future.”
He added, “B2UTY! For a thousand, ten thousand years! For-forever! I love you! Bbyong~”

‘Moisty’ is a cute nickname to describe someone who is literally moist because of water.

On June 17th, Kikwang met with reporters to reveal his thoughts on the end of their 1st album promotions, and his reflections on their entrance into the Japanese music industry.
B2ST’s first full-length album, “Fiction“, has staked their claim among the top male idols, as they swept first place on both public and cable networks, and from there, casting calls from variety shows have become an endless list of requests.
To the same degree, each member’s solo activities have become prominent as well. Kikwang is active as an MC on KBS2TV’s “Win Win,” Yoon Doojoon acted in the MBC sitcom “All My Love“, and befitting for the group’s lead vocalist, Yoseob showed off his vocal talent on KBS2TV’s “Immortal Song 2“.
Since only a select few members have prominent solo activities, the difference between the more popular members and lesser popular members is inevitable. Some wonder if this difference in popularity causes awkward relationships or problems between the members.
For example, according to unconfirmed rumors, it has been said that some idol groups have heavy conflict due the the difference in popularity among the members.
However, B2ST seems to be wise beyond their years, as before any conflict arises, they seemingly figured out a way to solve it in its early stages. Kikwang revealed,
“I did think that as B2ST was getting more popular, and as our personal activities increased, that there could become a difference between the more popular members and the less popular members. Since we’re only human, I felt that we might be jealous or get discouraged. So we already said [at the start], ‘Let’s not get upset, jealous, or fight over more or less popularity.‘”
In general, B2ST resolves issues quickly through internal discussion, and it is said that because of that, they have a good relationship with one another.

B2ST’s Kikwang is celebrating his 800th day as a singer today!
As many of you know, Kikwang first debuted under the name of ‘AJ’ back in 2009 prior to signing on with B2ST. In celebration of his long career, Kikwang posted the following message on his Twitter: “It’s my 800th day since my debut today^^… It feels different. Thank you so much to everyone who’s always by my side, and who’s always supporting B2ST ^^ Today’s such a happy day, I’m happy!^^~~”
Doojoon tweeted in response, “Congratulations Lee Kikwang. It feels like just yesterday that I was dancing behind you, and now you’re already on your 800th day. So proud of my son.”
Dongwoon tweeted, “Hyung doing well now is a prize for the past 800 days and five years that you’ve spent. Let’s run straight ahead now!!”
The boys also took home a triple crown win on Mnet’s “M! Countdown” last night, and didn’t forget to thank their fans through their Twitters by writing, “Thank you. We promise to become singers who are deserving of winning first place for three weeks in a row.”

On the 28th, Kikwang posted on his Twitter, “2 good looking guys at Jeju Island“. The star then posted four cuts with Yoseob and Dongwoon posing on a fence with the sea as their background.
Lee Kikwang also mused, “Jeju Island is really pretty” before attaching a picture of himself beaming happily from the beach.
