Representatives revealed, “On the night of July 8th, we’ll be holding an event at the Walkerhill Theater. Joining 2NE1 will be celebrities from all different genres.”
As soon as 2011 rolled around, 2NE1 teamed up with adidas to deliver a campaign on the importance of being original. On July 8th, the girls will be working with celebrities like ’80s legend Kim Wan Sun,Leessang and Jung In, and Astro Voize to give fans a fun night.
Those who purchase “adidas Originals” products will automatically be entered into a lottery for a chance to attend the event. Further details can be found on the brand’s official website, as well as their official fancafé.

The girls previously announced their exclusive plans with the popular brand last month with a CF and a special game that allowed fans to create their very own 2NE1 music video.
The clip reveals all four members practicing hard, showing the determination that has driven them to where they are today. On top of choreography practice, the girls are shown preparing lyrics for their upcoming concert, all while wearing fashionable Adidas outfits and accessories.

20 April:On April 20th, Blackjacks got treated to a special interactive game featuring their idols, 2NE1!As reported earlier, the girls teamed up with adidas Originals for an interesting collaborative project called “We Are Originals”. Through this interactive game, fans are given the opportunity to create their very own 2NE1 music video. Each member will be on a different instrument, such as the drums, bass, violin, and piano. By assembling the different clips, fans get to control what the girls play, how much they play, and how it sounds all together.

19 April:Having revealed a coming soon teaser recently, the clock is ticking closer to the official unveiling after a teaser CF for 2NE1’s collaboration project with Adidas for their Adidas Originals line was released.
The teaser CF which was released this afternoon through Youtube shows the 2NE1 members decked out in Adidas Originals gear while moving along to the music. The tagline for this CF read, “The meeting of an icon and an icon, Adidas Originals and 2NE1.”
Blackjacks need only wait for one more day for the full music video to be released on the 20th.

18 April:YG Entertainment may still be keeping 2NE1’s potential comeback on the DL, but it looks like the fearsome foursome got more surprises for fans up their sleeve — after announcing their official endorsement partnership for adidas Originals, the public has gotten its first look at this collaboration with a new photo on adidas Originals’ official website.
The collaborative project, titled, “We Are Originals,‘ is set to launch for this summer.
Since the comeback sign on 2NE1’s official site loosely coincides with this endorsement, there’s some speculation that 2NE1’s musical comeback might be a new single for the adidas Originals campaign. Only time will tell!

The clip itself isn’t really so much a making-of featurette as it is a teaser clip, but regardless, it certainly embodies the attitude and charisma of the one-of-a-kind girl group, and it is sure to raise the anticipation for April.

Today, two cuts of the members in a recent photoshoot for the brand were released, featuring both a colorful look and a simpler black and white look.
On March 27th, “adidas Originals” commented, “We will be running an official project called ‘We Are Originals’ with 2NE1, a fashion icon that represents not only Korea, but all of Asia. For the first half of 2011, we have plenty of collaborative programs and events planned, so please look forward to them.”
