On July 4th, indie artist Lady Jane guested on SBS’s ‘Night by Night‘ and revealed that she had once asked her current boyfriend of four years, Simon D, to break up with her.
MC Park Myung Soo asked, “Did you ever ask Simon D to break up with you as a joke?”
She replied, “I did once, but it wasn’t a joke. My first impression of him was that he was dirty and weird, but I found out that he was actually innocent after talking to him more, which is how we began to date. Eventually, I thought that our personalities didn’t match and that he was too overactive. I didn’t think that I’d be able to control him. He was just too different in his way of thinking. I said to him, ‘I don’t have the will to continue meeting someone like you. I don’t think we’ll work out, so let’s break up.’”
She continued, “But all of a sudden, Simon D began shedding tears the size of eggs before beginning to cry like a puppy. I didn’t want to break up with him because I hated him or anything, so my heart really weakened at that point. We eventually decided to calm down and talk about it again.”
Lady Jane reasoned, “I think girls talk about breakups for two reasons. The first is that they really want to, and the second is that they just want to check their feelings. If you can’t tell which of the two she’s feeling, you’ll be able to see that she wants to be with you if she continues to hold a conversation by asking you if you’ve recognized your wrongdoing. If not, she’ll just leave the scene right away.”
22 June:
SBS’s Monday night variety program, “Night After Night“, is currently debating whether or not to change its name.
The program, which has faced several problems such as declining ratings and Daesung’s removal, has already filmed its last recording in its present format, with MCs Kim Jae Dong, Jung Yonghwa, UEE, Park Myung Soo, and Tak Jae Hoon.
The discussion is bringing forth angry reactions from viewers who had been assured that the program would not be cancelled. “It’s the cat that ate the canary. Since they don’t want to be embarrassed cancelling a program after eight months, they just called it a ‘change’ when it’s actually a cancellation,” netizens grumbled.
The variety show will return with new MC Lee Kyung Gyu, along with Kim Jae Dong – the only survivor from the previous format – on July 11th.

21 June:CNBLUE’s Jung Yonghwa shared a painful love story from his past that resembled the one B2ST’sKikwang shared on the same episode of “Night After Night“.
Yonghwa began, “I had a girl I really liked, so I made my moves on her.”
He continued, “I held her hand and after confirming her feelings for me, we were basically dating. I hadn’t asked her to be my girlfriend yet, but I was about to. One day, I came across her minihompy and saw that she had a boyfriend. Despite that, she acted like she liked me.”
He added, “I texted her saying, ‘How could you do this?’, and she just texted me back saying, ‘I’m sorry.’”
Yonghwa mused, “I could’ve asked her about her relationship with him, so I felt stupid for yelling at her. I was mad about the fact that I couldn’t contact someone I liked.”
A long time after, he found out that she broke up with her boyfriend and that she wanted to start anew with him, but his feelings were too hurt from last time to have the heart to try again.
It seems like these idol boys have had their hearts broken many times before.
After School’s UEE revealed the truth about how idol girls act around idol boys.
On the latest episode of SBS’s ”Night After Night“, B2ST’s Kikwang confessed that male idols care a lot about how female idols view them. UEE replied by saying that it’s the same for idol girls.
UEE said, “Idol girls always get their makeup and hair done after the dry rehearsal. There’s no need for makeup before the dry rehearsal. However, everyone has basic makeup done before the dry rehearsals. It looks like their natural no-makeup face, but it’s really not.”
The male idols on set were shocked and replied, “It’s not your fresh faces?” and “I didn’t know!”
UEE also explained that female idols are very aware of male idols when they’re dancing in dry rehearsals. She said that even though the original choreography didn’t call for a sexy move, the girls would insert one to grab the guys’ attention.
Source: TV Report via Nate via allkpopLady Jane and Simon D are known to be a cute celebrity couple, but their relationship didn’t start off quite so charmingly as revealed by Lady Jane on SBS’s “Night After Night”.
She stated, “While I was attending an event after-party, Simon D was staring at me from far away. At that time, he seemed quite average to me. Feeling offended, I asked him, ‘Excuse me, why are you staring?’ and he rather shyly replied, ‘I’m sorry. I was staring because I like you so much.’
Inside I thought to myself, ‘Is he some kind of player?’ Then, he took my hand and said, ‘I’m a fan’. I was scared because I thought he was some weird person. I got away as soon as possible and left the party. Then, he contacted me after finding out my mini-hompy and phone number.
He asked to meet once more.”
At his earnest request, she decided to meet him again and that’s how their relationship started.
She said, “He turned out to be pretty innocent, so I naturally started to take care of him. Even though I was treating him well, my thoughts were different. I told him, ‘Don’t think I belong to you’,” revealing her authority in their relationship.

On the May 2nd broadcast of SBS’s ‘Night After Night‘, K.Will was able to meet one of the show’s regular MC’s Daesung. The MCs asked him, “Why do you keep impersonating Daesung?“.To this K.Will replied, “I’ve never impersonated him… There are some people that don’t confuse us but are rather certain [that I am Daesung]. So I don’t want to hurt their feelings nor disappoint them, I’ve gone along as Daesung before.”
Daesung confessed, “I’ve also been mistaken as K.Will before too. As K.Will was coming out on TV, the restaurant lady looked at me and said, ‘Ah~ You’re different~ Daesung has smaller eyes huh?’ and mistook me as K.Will.” Their resemblance is so close that even people who see them on a regular basis with their own eyes have trouble telling them apart.
Daesung continued, “When we run into each other in the bathroom, it’s like looking at a double sided mirror. It feels a bit strange.” He said that because he looked so much like K.Will, it was awkward.
K.Will added, “I’m a Big Bang fan but because of my resembling image with Daesung, it was hard to get close with them.”

When I was on a variety show,UEE chose Daesung as her ideal type, even though I was sitting right next to her.” To this UEE who was also a guest, defended herself saying, “My ideal type are guys without double eyelid.” But K.Will wittingly said, “I see the reason now… I have double eyelids.”

11 April:On April 11th, 2PM’s Wooyoung guested on SBS’s “Night by Night” and shared some stories about himself and his “Dream High” co-star, IU.
Wooyoung began, “At the time of ‘Dream High’, I worked really hard to get closer with IU. People said that she was shy, so before the drama began, I asked Seulong, who’s close with IU, to send a text message to her for me. However, IU sent a text back to Seulong saying, ‘I probably won’t get close with Wooyoung even until the last episode.’ I was really hurt at the time.”
Afterwards, the two eventually met away from the film set in order to get closer. Wooyoung revealed, “For our first meal, we sat at separate tables and just concentrated on eating because we weren’t that close at the time. For our second meal, we went to eat rib eye, which as you know, is very expensive. I suggested that we go eat something else like samgyupsal, but IU insisted on buying.”
Unfortunately, including the staff members, the total bill came out to $600 USD. “IU told me, ‘If oppa pays for this while I go to the bathroom, you’ll be an amazing person to me.’ I felt that I had finally gotten close with her, and maybe this was my chance to be that ‘amazing person.’ I was a bit worried, though, because it was so expensive.”
While IU went to the bathroom, Wooyoung continued, “My manager poked me and said that this was too much for her to foot, and for us to just pay for her. I said no, let’s just let her pay. I said, ‘Hyung, you should respect the person’s decision if they want to pay!’ Eventually, we ended up splitting the bill between the agency and me, which IU had no idea about. IU later told me that she was actually joking about that statement and that she hadn’t meant it.
Wooyoung concluded, “I later received 10 texts from IU after that, all of which said, ‘Unfair, unfair, unfair, unfair, unfair! I was going to pay the bill!’” With a laugh, he added, “I felt like I had been played! But through that, we became a lot closer and were able to conclude the drama on a friendly note.”
On April 11th, 2AM’s Seulong guested on SBS’s “Night by Night” and revealed that he had rejected JYP Entertainment while aiming to get into YG Entertainment.
He confessed, “Before I joined my current agency, JYP, I had auditioned for YG. I passed their first round so I thought I’d try out for JYP for practice sake and actually got in. In order to get into YG, though, I rejected JYP.”
Seulong continued, “I ended up getting eliminated from YG, and fortunately JYP called back which is how I was able to become the 2AM member that I am today.”
Labelmate 2PM’s Wooyoung claimed to have a similar experience by exclaiming, “Before my debut, I saw the audition for choosing the Wonder Girls members. Other than me, there were a few other guys that seemed adventurous. It was the audition Wonder Girls’ Ye Eun got into!” Although confused with his rather random statement, the studio burst into laughter over Wooyoung’s story anyway.

“I cried in the car everyday,” said Min Hyo Rin. She added, “There were many drunk passengers on the night bus. I was so scared but I couldn’t tell my parents because I was scared they wouldn’t let me go to Seoul anymore. I took a cab by myself since my parents worked too… but I really hated being scared.”

Tearfully, she began, “My aunt helps my father out a lot, but she herself is not living a comfortable life. I want to save up everything I can and buy her a house.”
She then went on to clarify rumors about how she underwent plastic surgery for her nose. “I did not get any work done on my nose, it’s natural. I did, however, get my eyes clipped up because one was bigger than the other.”
She then went on to clarify rumors about how she underwent plastic surgery for her nose. “I did not get any work done on my nose, it’s natural. I did, however, get my eyes clipped up because one was bigger than the other.”
The discussion moved onto the topic of her frequent photoshoots and the emphasis on her ‘bagel girl’ image. Min Hyo Rin explained, “When I wasn’t working on dramas and such, I had to maintain life in my house somehow so I did photoshoots endlessly. Whenever I did dramas, people would always say that I looked too young, so they would never cast me.”
She continued, “I did lingerie and underwear photoshoots because I just wanted to show a more variety in my charms, but people took it the wrong way and kept criticizing about how I kept ‘going naked.’ I was so upset with that that I cried.”
When asked about the rumors of her dating her agency CEO, she revealed, “During my trainee days, my CEO always said that he’d cancel my contract if I was late for even a minute. I’d replace my meals with ‘kim-bap’ and had to leave my cell phone on my CEO’s desk when going in for training. He was so strict and scary.”
“He never let me leave the company building. They’d purposely fill my schedule to the brim and never let me do anything outside of it. Once I went into the basement training room, they wouldn’t let me out; it was basically like I was trapped in there.”
“He never let me leave the company building. They’d purposely fill my schedule to the brim and never let me do anything outside of it. Once I went into the basement training room, they wouldn’t let me out; it was basically like I was trapped in there.”
Taking note of the unusual cell phone rule, she was then asked for what reasons she was allowed to use her cell phone. She replied, “I used it to contact my parents and family members. Even while on a phone call with them, I couldn’t stop thinking about them and missing them.”
IU recently clarified some rumors surrounding herself.
The idol appeared on SBS’s “Night After Night” on April 4th, and explained the rumor that she was ‘arrogant even at a young age’.
“When I sing, my voice is thin and high but my normal voice is deep and low. So people think I talk to them as if I’m mad. I have been asked before if I have been looking down on them,” she said.
She continued to clarify, “I’m very shy and I was chubby after I debuted, so no one knew I was a celebrity. Even a security guard at a broadcasting station tried to force me out. There were many seniors who wouldn’t receive my greeting, so I used to bow to them and run away.”
Singer Kan Mi Yeon revealed that she was one of the seniors who thought IU was arrogant and rude. She jokingly confessed, “A few years ago, I saw IU for the first time. She just bowed her head and went away. Newbies normally bow 90 degrees, and I wouldn’t have forgiven her if she couldn’t even sing well.”

On April 4th, After School’s UEE guested on SBS’s “Night by Night” and revealed her feelings on her golf drama, “Birdie Buddy,” doing poorly because of her.
In response to actress Min Hyo Rin’s story on the obstacles she had to go through with “Triple,” UEE added, “I was also cast for a golf drama last year and recorded for nine months.”
She continued, “I saw an article a while ago and they had used the phrase ‘UEE’s collapse.’ I also saw replies that had said it was the end for me, and I truly was upset. The producers had given me such a big role, and I began wondering whether it was because of me that the drama wasn’t getting picked up by broadcast stations. Not only that, but I was scared that it’d affect After School as well.”
Despite “Birdie Buddy” having completed filming, the drama is still undergoing difficulty in securing itself a broadcast station to air through.

A preview from the upcoming episode of SBS’s “Night By Night” played a clip of IU’s confession as she revealed she even visited a cosmetic surgeon’s office. “My company didn’t want me to get surgery,” she said. “But I wanted to get plastic surgery so I begged them.”
She continued, “I have a small and flat nose, and it’s always been a complex of mine. I asked my company before my debut, and I visited a plastic surgery clinic. They told me that I had such thin skin that if they raised my nose, it would only be raised 1mm. I was disappointed and just came back without getting the procedure.”
IU also talked about her scandal with 2PM’s Wooyoung, her love interest from KBS2TV’s ”Dream High“.
She laughed, “We had an uncomfortable relationship [because of the scandal]. There were rumors that I followed him around because I liked him. I also found out that the 2PM members knew about this rumor, and that’s why they started to view me in a weird way.”

Comedian/MC Kim Jae Dong’s ’sneaky operation’ of sending female celebrities text messages has been thrusted into the spotlight.
On the March 28th broadcast of SBS’s “Night After Night“, MC/After School’s UEE asked guest/rockerYoon Do Hyun the meaning behind the text messages sent by Kim Jae Dong.

I don’t know when he got her number, but he sent her a message about going to the mountain together. I have also received this kind of text message from him in the past.”
Yoon Do Hyun replied, “Kim Jae Dong really likes women. He’s getting older and he lives by himself, so he’s probably lonely. Today, I will only reveal this much” – driving a wedge into Kim Jae Dong’s ‘playbook’.
Comedian Kim Sook, who was also a guest on this day, added, “He never sent me that kind of message. He only sends texts to beautiful, single, female celebrities.”
Kim Jae Dong looked obviously shocked at the accusations, but viewers showed much interest in the situation because he did not defend himself right away.
15 Maret:On a recent broadcast of SBS’s “Night After Night“, After School’s UEE appeared as a guest and shared an experience of how rookies were treated in comparison to big stars.
UEE revealed, “When After School were rookies, we couldn’t eat meals more expensive than 6,000 won (~$6 USD). So if we went 500 won over the limit, our manager made sure we accounted for that ourselves. In comparison, Son Dambi unnie was not like that, despite being in the same company. Because she is a top star, she could eat anything she liked. I envied that.”
Hearing UEE’s experience, Jung Yonghwa asked, “What is the criteria to be a top star?”
Kim Jae Dong humorously answered, “Someone who receives more than 6,000 won for a meal,” which drew laughter from the studio.
8 Maret: After School’s Kahi revealed, “Marriage? I could have if I wanted to.” The star then truthfully confessed that she had rode on the hypothetical ‘bus’ towards marriage.
On March 7th, singer Hong Kyung Min, who also guested on SBS’s ”Night After Night“, started the conversation with a metaphorical question. “You are waiting for the bus at the bus stop and one bus arrives. However, it’s not the bus you were waiting for. Then does that mean you didn’t ride the bus, or couldn’t ride the bus?”
This prompted the MC’s to ask Kahi, “Why haven’t you been able to marry yet? Did you also just let the bus go?” Kahi replied, “I was already riding the bus, but I was contemplating on whether or not to get off the bus.”
With the studio reeling with shock from her surprise confession, Kahi continued, “To achieve my dream, I boldly stepped off that bus. Currently, I am riding on a new (singer) bus”. It was an answer that drew applause and respect from the crowd.
Meanwhile, Hong Kyung Min received sympathy for his answer, after he revealed, “Kahi-sshi is okay. For me, I was diligently riding the bus, but the bus let someone else on and left. If you experience a situation like that, then riding a bus altogether can become frightening.”

She continued, “Normally, people that don’t talk a lot and keep things to themselves are hard to read, but Tak Jae Hoon talks endlessly and I still can’t tell what he’s thinking.”

She continued, “When I go overseas, my parents give me a 500,000 won ($447.43 USD) allowance. I exchange the currency, but I don’t use it, so when I return to Korea, I exchange it back into Korean currency.”
