On the March 12th episode of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Dream High 2‘, Yoo Jin (Jinwoon) spilled his feelings for Haesung (Kang Sora) who was being attacked by fans after being coined JB‘s new girlfriend.
After the serenade missions took place, Haesung became an official couple with JB and consequently suffered the slanderous remarks of her fellow students and fans who were green with envy.
“She’s so average, how did she manage to win JB over?”, the girls asked. “Is she some kind of manipulative fox?”
It was too much to handle for Haesung who began nervously sweating everywhere she went, and friend Rian (Jiyeon) even felt the need to step in and save her.
Yoo Jin who found out about Haesung’s situation later on remarked, “What do you lack, that you need to suffer this kind of treatment?”
“I know all too well that when you like someone, things don’t always end up the way you want them to. That’s why I’m not going to hide my feelings for you anymore,” he continued.
Seeing Haesung at a loss for words, he continued ,”I promise to become more famous, more attractive. I like you.”
And although he received an offer from OZ Entertainment‘s CEO, Yoo Jin expressed that he still felt defeated, while the preview for the next episode evoked fans’ curiosity revealing Haesung breaking up with JB.

On the day the ‘Proposal Mission’ couples were being chosen, Lee Kang Chul (Kim Jung Tae) tried to persuade JB to choose Rian. But JB realized his heart was with Haesung and confidently knelt before her.
“It’s been so hard to say these words, but I’ll say them now,” he said. “Haesung, I like you.” Upon his confession, their peers began to whisper amongst themselves.
“Why? I don’t have a reason,” he said. “No matter how much I think, there are no reasons, just like I have no reasons for loving music.”
JB awaited her response, but a bewildered Haesung could only look towards him with a confused stare.
Meanwhile, Jin Yoo Jin (Jung Jinwoon) and Haesung’s ‘button kiss’ was also unveiled on the same episode.

The tenth episode of ‘Dream High 2‘ concentrated on the idol sphere, in which it brought out an issue in the entertainment world, group disbandment and its ramifications, and began Nana’s journey (SISTAR‘s Hyorin) to her dreams.
After Nana’s vocal problems worsen during the super idol audition, she visits the hospital and learns of heartbreaking news. Her vocal cords have deteriorated due to her neglect as Nana had brushed it aside as a minor cold. As she is diagnosed with vocal fold cyst, the doctor gives her the option of undergoing surgery. However, the side effects of the surgery include a shorter pitch range and a different vocal tone.
Pained by the possibility of not being able to retain her pure voice, her gift, Nana submits a withdrawal letter to her teacher and is hospitalized. After Rian (T-ara‘s Jiyeon) discovers that Nana is in the same hospital as her, she tries to comfort her thinking Nana only has a cold. However, Nana coldly shrugs off Rian’s helping hand, creating a fissure between their shaky friendship and teamwork. Nana’s journey in confronting her dreams is even more shaken by President Lee’s decision to possibly disband HershE.
With Nana and Rian both in the hospital and their relationships with HershE splintering, President Lee decides to disband them to place them as the super idol contestants, much to the outrage of Teacher Ji Soo (After School‘s Kahi) and JB. Although Rian and her mother are upset, Rian hurriedly runs out of her hospital room to search for Nana, only to find her missing. After Si Woo (Park Seo Joon) and Rian frantically look for her, they finally find her in the corner of the practice room.
As Nana begins to cry, “Singing was everything, the sound was everything. I lost it“, Rian responds angrily, “Why is singing everything? Why is [your] voice everything? What about me? Ailee? If HershE breaks up, is it the end for us? Aren’t we friends?” JB and Ailee also join in and encourage Nana to find her dream again, to have hope for her surgery. To embolden Nana, and to stand up against HershE’s disbandment, JB announces to the crowd that HershE will continue united and holds an impromptu performance of g.o.d‘s “One Candle” with the other idols.

With the tenth episode of ‘Dream High 2‘, love and jealousy are brewing in the air with the recent developments in the love lines. Most specifically, those who ship JB and Haesung (Kang Sora) were delighted to see the cuteness abound during a recent scene in their drawing class.
As JB joined the ‘ugly ducklings’ team with the recent disruptions and conflict with Nana (SISTAR‘sHyorin), JB and Haesung are seen flirting with each other during their drawing class. The students are assigned to draw self-portraits, in which JB draws a hilarious, yet ugly picture of a girl, and proceeds to tell the class that it’s Haesung.
In addition, JB and Haesung share cute banter as they each offer to hold up the mirror. The increasingly jealous Yoojin (2AM‘s Jinwoon) sees the exchange and starts breaking his pencils angrily in the background.
While Haesung is finishing her sketch with JB watching her, he tries to steal her sketch journal with the detailed sketches of JB. Haesung tries to quickly snatch the notebook away, but JB taunts her by holding the notebook out of reach, only to fall backwards as Haesung falls on top of him.
The near-kiss and the heart palpitations that followed drove the viewers crazy at the genuine emotional beginning between JB and Haesung.

The music video mostly contains DSLR footage of character Eugene (played by Jinwoon) that was not included during the broadcast, revealing the special bond that the staff have with Jinwoon.

T-ara‘s Jiyeon, who is currently playing the role of Rian on KBS2TV‘s ‘Dream High 2‘, transformed from a ‘mirror princess’ to a fluffy ‘catwoman’ for the upcoming episode.
Rian is an idol who dreams of becoming an actress but lacks the skills. Because of Rian’s nosy mother, who suddenly attempts remove her suffering daughter from OZ Entertainment, the agency’s president begins to disfavor Rian. Much to her humiliation, Rian ends up being sent to the countryside to sing a congratulatory song for the Miss Apple Pageant.
However, this was not the end of her embarrassment. Rian even had to wear a catwoman mask while singing in front of a loud, hostile crowd. With nothing left but her dignity, it seems that this scene, on top of Rian’s bad acting, will bring viewer’s much laughter.
Meanwhile, on seventh episode of ‘Dream High 2′, which will air on February 20th, Haesung (Kang Sora) will be deciding on transferring schools, while JB, who discovers a new side of Haesung, ends up visiting her home. 2AM‘s Jinwoon who made a successful transformation into an actor prepared a special gift for his ‘Dream High‘ staff members.
The generous singer prepared 100 long down coats from a sporty-casual brand that he currently models for, and handed them out to his KBS2 ‘Dream High’ staff members.
“All the staff members have to continue to film outdoor scenes in the cold weather,” he said.
While Jinwoon did something extremely thoughtful to encourage his staff, a special guest stopped by to encourage Jinwoon as well. Fellow 2AM member Changmin wanted to show his support for the group’smaknae, and showed up unannounced on set with J.Y. Park.
Jinwoon was pleasantly surprised with Changmin’s visit, and the two immediately ran into each other’s arms, engaging in conversation.

On February 6th, ‘Dream High 2‘ aired its third episode, which showcased the development of love lines between ‘Shin Haesung’ (Kang Sora) and ‘Jin Yoojin’ (2AM‘s Jinwoon), as well as ‘Rian’ (T-ara‘s Jiyeon) and JB (as himself).
In this episode, Haesung and Rian have a scuffle in their room, during which Haesung discovers a photo of Rian’s with her and JB. Viewers immediately became intrigued by this hint of a mysterious past between two of Kirin Arts High School’s top idols.
On the other hand, Haesung and Yoojin — the underdogs of the school — become closer after they eat some ramen together and comfort one another. Yoojin had gotten into a fight of his own earlier, leading Haesung to carefully bandage his face. Haesung’s soft touch causes Yoojin to momentarily drop his guard and give her a shy smile.
There’s potential for a very interesting love square to take place here, with the key player being JB. JB has a mysterious connection to Rian, Haesung’s roommate; Haesung idolizes JB, while Yoojin hates JB; finally, Yoojin seems to be interested in Haesung.
Stay tuned to find out how these love lines develop!
Producer J.Y. Park and After School leader Kahi put on an eye-catching dance performance.
On the February 7th episode of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Dream High 2‘, Yang Jin Man (played by J.Y. Park) sang J.Y.Park’s own song, “Mm Mm Mmm” at a karaoke room.
Yang Jin Man really got into his performance, and very naturally began moving his body to the music. After watching him for a while, dance instructor Hyun Jisoo (played by Kahi) began showing her interest in his dance.
Jisoo made her way to the front after being beckoned by Jin Man, and the two displayed their stage chemistry by putting on a comical yet sexy couple dance.
‘Dream High 2′ airs every Monday & Tuesday at 9:55PM KST!
Bonus Scene:
With KBS’s ‘Dream High 2‘ becoming increasingly popular for doing parodies of hit songs, the January 7th episode was no different as JB and Kang Sora did a cover of Taeyang‘s “I Need a Girl“.
Their dance instructor, played by Kahi, first demonstrated how a couple dance could be effective, as long as one member knew how to dance. His/her moves would “cover” their partners.
Afterwards Kahi called out Kirin Arts Schools’ best and worst dancer which was JB and Kang Sora. While JB smoothly danced to “I Need a Girl”, Kang Sora did simple bounce moves and watched her crush dance circles around her with adoration.

T-ara‘s Jiyeon is demonstrating an impeccable fashion sense through her drama, ‘Dream High 2‘.
While the idol is drawing strong interest for her acting, her fashion is also making headlines in the news.
In the drama, Jiyeon plays ‘Rian’, a haughty girl who dreams of becoming an actress. While the running joke at Kirin Arts High School is that Rian can’t act, she’s able to position herself as one of the queen bees of the school.
To reflect this, Rian wears outfits that reflect her regal reputation. Rian donned a beautiful tiara with a classy fur coat in one scene, while in another she’s seen wearing a pink wool sweater with delicate bangles. Not even hair rollers can take away from her ‘flawless fashionista’ image, as the polka-dotted blouse matches perfectly with the strawberry-shaped foam rollers.
Jiyeon’s fashion will undoubtedly continue to impress as the series rolls on, so stay tuned for more updates!

Dressed in a yellow tracksuit with red rubber gloves, HaeSung starts a fight with YooJin for circulating some embarrassing photos of HaeSung.
She grabs YooJin by the ears and yells, “Did selling my pictures for 50cents raise the quality of your life? As a pastor’s daughter, I can forgive you with the grace of my heart for the pictures, but what are you going to do about my song!” and continues to shake him by the ears in her anger.
YooJin’s ears eventually begin to bleed as the students have gathered to watch with much laughter and only with the entrance of Teacher Yang JinMan, J.Y. Park’s character, does the situation settle down.
The action begins around the 7:13 mark below:
miss A‘s Suzy expressed her jealousy over the kiss scene between T-ara‘s Jiyeon and actor Kim Soo Hyun.
Kim Soo Hyun made a cameo in the pilot episode of KBS‘s ‘Dream High 2‘, where he reenacted the kiss scene from ‘Dream High 1‘ with Jiyeon.
In ‘Dream High 2′, Jiyeon portrays ‘Rian‘, an idol who aspires to be an actress. Rian lands a part as ‘Hyemi‘ (originally played by Suzy in ‘Dream High 1′) in a “biography movie” about ‘Sam Dong‘ (Kim Soo Hyun). Jiyeon attempts to kiss Kim Soo Hyun, but the director yells “CUT!” due to Jiyeon’s bad acting.
It looks like Suzy watched the first episode of ‘Dream High 2′, as she wrote this tweet on January 31st: “‘Dream High 2′, be daebak! It’s really fun. However, Sam Dong, Sam Dong, [you] threw Hyemi away. Geez.”
Netizens replied with, “Suzy is jealous over the kiss scene“, “Sam Dong threw away Hyemi and filmed a kiss scene with Rian“, and “Kim Soo Hyun’s runny nose kiss scene was so funny.”
A music video like segment on the latest episode “Dream High 2” had viewers’ eyes locked on the screen.
On the January 31st broadcast of KBS 2TV‘s “Dream High 2″, the current students of Kirin Arts School prepared a welcoming party for the school’s new students.
As the new students entered into the dormitory, they were greeted by the other students singing and dancing. The students began by covering T-ara‘s “Roly Poly“, to which one of the new students Rian (T-ara’s Jiyeon) skillfully dances along.
The next medley of songs was a tribute to 2NE1. The Kirin Arts School students sang and danced along to 2NE1′s hit songs including “I’m the Best” and “Follow Me“. The star of that segment was, hands down, teacher Yang Jin Man (J.Y. Park).
Then, HershE’s Nana (SISTAR‘s Hyorin) and Ailee claimed the mics as they sang their rendition ofG.NA‘s “Top Girl“. Lastly, the current students got together to sing PSY‘s “Celebrity“.
Even if you have not been following the “Dream High 2″ series, this segment is a must see. Check out the clips below.

On the latest episode of KBS’s Dream High 2 that aired on January 31st, there was a scene in which Rian, Jiyeon’s character in the drama, was fuming over the fact that a celebrity, T-ara‘sEunjung (playing herself, not her first season character, Baek Hee) took Rian’s role in a film.
Because of the new law that states that underaged celebrities must cease all activities after 10PM, Rian was forced to give up her new role. However, Rian decides to go to the production set anyway.
Jisu (played by Kahi), who was watching Rian head to the production set, spoke out in a cold voice, “Don’t you know the meaning of ’cease all activity’? Besides they don’t want you, they decided to use Eunjung instead.”
Jisu continues on stating how much better Eunjung’s acting is compared to Rian’s. The already seething Rian yells, “T-ara’s Eunjung? Is that director crazy?”
This particular scene was a favorite among viewers due of the fact that Jiyeon, who plays Rian, is actually in the same girl group as Eunjung in real life.
The long anticipated second season to the KBS 2TV drama Dream High aired its pilot on January 30th. While the first season mainly consisted of the standard school-romance genre with a fame-seeker twist, the second season portrays a much more realistic view on the hard lives of idol singers.
From talent credibility to the ever-reoccurring question as to whether or not idols are really considered artists, Dream High 2 aims to tell a story that will give the audience a gist of what it is like being an artist in the K-Pop industry.
Out of the various idol issues that the show covers, the most notable ones from its pilot are as follows:
1. Idol singers-turned-actors
The first scene shows idol star Rian (played by T-ara’s Jiyeon) playing Go Hyemi in what seems to be an autobiographical production on the life of Samdong, a main character from the first season who became an world-famous pop star since his Kirin School of Arts days. While the actor who portrays Samdong (ironically played by Kim Soohyun himself) managed to pull off the part smoothly, Rian is shown having trouble with conveying any emotions into her role whatsoever. Even in her girl group,HerShe, Lian is given the “visuals” position, usually given to the member who lacks skill in both dance and vocals, but possesses good looks.
Rian’s struggle as both an actress and an entertainer is a satirical portrayal of the handful of actor/actress-turned-idols in the industry, ones who depend on their looks to forgive any criticism on their mediocre acting. While the statement is rather harsh, it is one of the many motives of Dream High 2 to portray the controversies shadowing the K-Pop industry.
2. Under-aged idols and their ever-fleeting education
One of the many plot devices in Dream High 2 is the fictitious law that forbids underaged idols to perform on any broadcasting programs past 10PM. In addition, the law sees it fit that all idols attend 20 hours of classes a week.
While giving idols a curfew for their artistry may seem groundless, the matter of young idols missing their education due to their hectic schedules is indeed a concern.
3. Are idols really considered artists?
The pilot episode saw Jin Yoojin (played by 2AM’s Jung Jinwoon) and JB (rumored member ofJYPE’s upcoming boy group) as artistic rivals. Their history goes far back to the Kirin School of Arts auditions back in 2010, where the two were put in the same audition session: the former’s impressive talents and ambitions to become a real musician disheartened the former’s dreams to become an idol, ultimately distracting him from showcasing his abilities to its full potential.
While both are aspiring musicians who both take the craft of songwriting seriously, Yoojin sees idols as nothing more than one’s childish dreams to become a musician not for the music, but for the fame: “Idols are nothing but fools who have no heart and soul for music. All they do is sing and dance as they are told, like little puppets on string. Don’t you find that disgusting?” says Yoojin.
This addresses the criticism of the factory-like method that most labels take to create their artists. While fans of K-Pop see and appreciate the hard work and passion idols carry to become entertainers, the majority of fans against K-Pop put down idols as being nothing but “puppets on strings.”
Meanwhile, Dream High 2 has received generally favorable reception since its pilot. The next episode will air January 31st
26 January:
It looks like ’Pilsook‘ is back for a brief moment in the sequel to popular TV series, ‘Dream High‘!
‘Hyesung‘ (Kang Sora) visits the broadcasting station to visit idol group Eden, but ends up being disappointed as the concert falls apart due to laws limiting late-night shows. While she bumbles along, Hyesung accidentally bumps into Pilsook (IU), and requests an autograph.
According to producers, the cameo really was an accidental meeting. After hearing that the ‘Dream High 2‘ staff was filming nearby, IU decided to check in and readily accepted a quick role on the spot.
Reportedly, IU plans to make another official appearance at the next opportunity.
IU’s surprise cameo will be seen in the pilot broadcast of ‘Dream High 2′ on January 30th!

The ‘special laws’ in the drama series apply to hot fictional idol group HUSH & EDEN who need to transfer schools, and the same laws also apply to them when they are in Japan.
T-ara’s Jiyeon was born in 1993, and she is currently a high school student. She added, “I want to attend school with my friends, and want some time for myself. I like being a celebrity, but I do feel I need a break from time to time.”
SISTAR’s Hyorin agreed with her saying, “When you’re a celebrity, it’s so hard to keep a regular sleep schedule and it’s hard to maintain a healthy lifestyle. My schedule is so jam-packed that I have less time to practice singing then back when I was a trainee.”
2AM‘s Jung Jinwoon however had a different opinion stating, “If those laws were actually signed, there will be definite limitations on what we could do as artists. There are a lot of things I learned as I worked. I made my debut when I was a minor too, but I feel like if you really wanted to, you can both work and go to school at the same time.”
In the drama, Jinwoon plays the role of a devious student who dreams of becoming a rock star, while Hyorin plays the role of a lead vocalist named NaNa, and Jiyeon plays the role of an idol as well.

The bottom group is comprised of 2AM‘s Jinwoon and actress Kang Sora, who were hinted to be characters from a rough background (see here and here for still-cuts from their introductory scenes) earlier.
Meanwhile, the other group is comprised of SISTAR‘s Hyorin, T-ara‘s Jiyeon, and two male rookies named JB (JYP Entertainment) and Park Seo Joon (KeyEast Entertainment).
The haughty looks they toss at Jinwoon and Kang Sora (who volley with scowls of their own) seem to lend credence to the theory that their characters are talented, but arrogant.

The still cuts show Jinwoon in the streets of Hongdae promoting his side job of teaching how to play the guitar. The scene was filmed without any prior notice, so lucky passerbys got to witness the artist at his work. -

28 December:KBS‘s ‘Dream High 2‘ has released new photos that show a dramatic transformation compared to its first season.
The first difference is the school. In season one, ‘Kirin Arts High School’ was known as one of the most luxurious, high-end schools for the industry. The school takes a downward turn in the second season, looking run down and on the brink of collapse.
A famous entertainment company is threatening to purchase the school in Season 2, forcing the kids to step up their act for survival.
The format has also undergone a change. The first season primarily focused on individual competition, but this time, the focus is on the team. ‘Eden‘ and ‘HershE‘ will be at the center of the competition, with smaller rivalries between Kang Sora, Jinwoon, Jiyeon, and Hyorin.
There’s a bigger diversity in character backgrounds as well. From the talented Kang Sora to Jiyeon, who can’t act out a proper line, to vocalist Hyorin, and finally the rebellious Jinwoon, they all have interesting back stories to share that will help move the plot along.
‘Dream High 2′ airs on January 30th.
25 December:
A poster featuring the girl group of ‘Dream High 2‘, HershE, was released as it is made up of T-ara‘sJiyeon, SISTAR‘s Hyorin, and rookie singer Ailee.
HershE is a mysterious 3-member girl group that transferred to Kirin Art School, in which the group and male idol, Eden will have a bloody battle with Kirin Art School students.
Jiyeon, Hyorin, and Ailee will showcase a dynamic and powerful dance group, as they will attract the male students’ attention with their stunning looks.
As Jiyeon is being named as one of the most successful idol actresses, she will play Liam, who aspires to be the ‘Queen of the Cannes Festival’. Hyorin, with her powerful vocals and role as the leader of SISTAR, will act as the leader, Nana, who has a fresh personality. Meanwhile, Ailee will play the beautiful and talented Ailee, who often displays a disrespectful attitude as a bluff.
The first episode will air on January 30th.
22 December:
Anticipation for the pilot broadcast of ‘Dream High 2‘ just got kicked up a notch with the release of the drama’s first still-cuts!
Actress Kang Sora is seen busily running errands and cleaning shoes with a sign on her chest that explains she’s being punished for coming to school late.
But why is being late such a big deal? In ‘Kirin Arts High School’, the gates are zealously guarded by teacher ‘Yang Jin Man’ (J.Y. Park). He finds out that she’d been out all night at an idol group concert and punishes her by making him clean his stinky shoes and pots.
Kang Sora earned the praise of staff around her for not being afraid to scruff up her image for the sake of her role. She also showed smooth chemistry with her castmates and warmed up the film set with her lively personality.
On December 17th, the cast of ‘Dream High 2‘ gathered at a restaurant in Kangnam to hold their first-ever script-reading together.
Although it was the first time that they met as the finalized cast, the atmosphere was friendly and positive, as if they were already in ‘character mode’. Since the first season was an undeniable hit, enthusiasm was rising high, and the excitement was said to be quite infectious.
Kang Sora stated, “I was a great fan of ‘Dream High’ so it’s an honor to be a part of the cast. I’m really looking forward to the first broadcast.”
2AM‘s Jinwoon also said, “Maybe it’s because I’m surrounded by my peers, but I really can’t stop smiling. I think it’s going to feel like coming in to work with a group of friends.”
The drama will begin airing on January 30th.

Kang Sora, who plans on showcasing her strong acting abilities through this new role, commented, “I’ve only acted until now, so having to perform on stage as well is honestly a burden. However, I’m both nervous and excited because this will be a new challenge for me.”
Hyorin will play the role of ‘Nana‘, a student with amazing talent and natural abilities. Hyorin mused, ”Nana has a broad-minded personality that is similar to mine, so I have an attraction towards her character. I’m looking forward to it.”
Jiyeon will play the role of ‘Lian‘, a member of the popular girl group, Hush, who aspires to one day be the “Queen of the Cannes Film Festival”, but lacks the acting ability to do so. Jiyeon revealed, “I’m receiving a lot of pointers from Eunjung, who participated in the first season. I already have a warm blanket prepared to withstand the cold at Kirin High School.”
Lastly, Jung Jinwoon has plans to showcase his cute charms through his role of ‘Jin Yoo Jin‘, a bragging troublemaker who aspires to be a rockstar. He stated, “I felt an attraction to the role of Jin Yoo Jin as soon as I read the script. I like the character more because of the fact that he likes rock, just like me. Although the company had agreed to team up with KeyEast Entertainment and JYP Entertainmentfor ‘Dream High 2‘, they bowed out at the casting stage due to overwhelming overseas schedules for all of their artists, including Super Junior, SNSD, TVXQ, SHINee, and f(x).
“We focused on casting with the plan that SM Entertainment artists would take part in Season 2 based on Season 1′s success, but schedules were so tight that the plan eventually amounted to nothing,”said a representative for KBS. “It’s a shame, but there’s nothing we can do about it.”

Ailee has been receiving love calls from various projects, but decided on ‘Dream High 2′. She will play the role of one of the members in a popular girl group trio along with SISTAR’s Hyorin.
KBS’s ‘Dream High 2′ will air its first episode on January 30th of next year.
