10 November:
The hosts of tvN‘s ‘Taxi‘ began by stating that they would like to hear his own words about the entire experience.“Why did you give up your spot as leader?” they asked, to which Jay replied, “The more I talk about it, the more misunderstandings arise. People think that I talk about [2PM] to promote myself.”
Jay went on to reveal his thoughts about returning to his hometown, Seattle. At that time he thought,“What do I do? What am I supposed to do now? This is how I felt. I felt sorry to my parents.”
Jay also spoke about a part-time job he had working at a tire shop. He shared, “I didn’t want to use my parents’ money. I think I’ve already received more than enough,” making it clear that he wished to stand on his own two feet.
The episode also talked about Jay Park’s loyal fans, who were a large reason behind his decision to return to the Korean entertainment industry.
tvN‘s unique talk show, ‘Taxi‘, recently aired their interview with Jay Park, who revealed his wish to be a little bit taller.
When asked by the host if he’s jealous of anyone’s body in the entertainment industry, Jay responded,“I’m just jealous of anyone who’s tall… I’d be happy to be 178 cm (5’10″).” Jay Park is 173cm (5’8″), which wouldn’t bother most people, but being in the entertainment industry, Jay felt that it became his complex.
He laughed, “I’d do what I normally do, but I guess I wouldn’t hear things like, ‘He’s good looking, but a bit short.’”
Unlike other short celebrities, Jay says that he doesn’t wear any insoles to add to his height. He went on to explain that his stylist prepares insoles for work-related projects such as photoshoots or TV recordings, but that’s because there are many female celebrities who are taller than him.
When asked why he doesn’t wear insoles in his daily life, Jay candidly replied, “Everyone already knows I’m short, so I don’t think there’s a point.”
Jay Park revealed that he’s the star he is today because of his supportive family.
On November 10th’s episode of tvN‘s ‘Talk Show Taxi’, Jay Park revealed his honest thoughts on a variety of topics ranging from his journey to Korea to become a trainee, his time as the leader of 2PM, and his current solo career.
Jay revealed that although he had liked to dance and rap, he previously had no intention of becoming a singer. Seeing his talent, his mom had been the one who encouraged him to audition. He stated, “It’s all thanks to my mom that I’m currently active as a singer.”
He continued, “My family was the driving force behind my ability to withstand those harsh trainee days. I thought that if I just gave up and went back to the U.S., I’d be embarrassed in front of my mom and myself.”
Although he possesses the looks and the body that many are jealous of, Jay revealed that his height was one of his complexes. “I’m jealous of those who are tall,” he said.

She elaborated, “I asked my mom for allowance but she wouldn’t give me any because I played around outside. So I fought with my mom and when I was little, she stripped me naked and placed me in front of our house door. I was in the 9th grade and she told me that she would do that again. I cried and ran out saying, ‘Don’t look for me because I’m going to run away!’”

15 April:
On April 14th, TVXQ guested on the first episode of tvN’s revamped talk show,”Taxi“, and revealed their honest thoughts on their group and on living together.
The boys were first asked about the split between JYJ and TVXQ. Reflecting sombrely, Yunho stated, “I can’t say that it doesn’t hurt when the two of us have to stand on our own now. I know that the three of them are very nice friends and are talented, but there were a lot of people who regarded our comeback with worried gazes, and even criticized as to whether the two of us could make it work.”
He continued, “That was the most upsetting because to me, protecting TVXQ above all was my priority. I still want to protect it, and I will protect it into the future.”
Changmin continued, “There wasn’t a change of mind, nor were we standing at crossroads, and all of a sudden, we were separated. That’s what I regretted the most. Just like old times, we’re in the same exact position, working in the same exact career, and as ready as ever, but it is true that we were both upset and worried.”
He continued, “But you can’t turn back time, so I accepted it and the only thing I’m thinking about is to work even harder with just the two of us to show a better image of ourselves.”
When asked about their dorm life together, Yunho revealed, “His personality and lifestyle is 180 degrees different to mine, so it was hard to adjust at first. I’m a bit rough personality-wise, while Changmin is extremely clean.”
Yunho revealed that he’d leave his toothpaste on the wet bathroom floor, or sometimes shower for longer than necessary, all of which annoyed Changmin to an extent. Yunho laughed, “Changmin nags a lot, and it sometimes makes me wonder whether I’ve gotten married. It feels like I’m living with a wife.”
He added, “When I’m in a rush, I have a habit of walking back in the house with my shoes on to retrieve an item, and Changmin hates that a lot. One time, he approached me seriously and said, ‘Hyung, you really can’t do that.’ I realized that it couldn’t go on for much longer and fixed the habit immediately.”
When asked by the MC about whether they felt it was time to move out on their own, Changmin replied, “I think it’s about time that we begin planning to live on our own.”
On April 14th, TVXQ guested on tvN’s “Taxi” and revealed stories about their love lives.
When asked at what age they had their first kisses, Changmin answered, “Five years ago, I had it in front of my girlfriend’s house when I was taking her home.”
Instead of answering the question, Yunho opted to share a story about his most memorable kiss experience. He explained, “My girlfriend was drunk and called me, asking me to come pick her up. When I arrived, she ordered me to kiss her right then and there.”

He continued, “I hesitated for 2 secs until she said, ‘See? This is who you are. There’s this inevitable wall between us.’ I felt sorry, so I pulled the hoodie I was wearing to cover my face and kissed her.”
Later, Yunho revealed, “I originally wanted to get married at 27, but it didn’t work out. My new goal is 32.”
Moving onto the topic of their families, the boys revealed that they each had a younger sister of great beauty. In fact, Yunho’s sister is rumored to be a famous ulzzang in Kwangju.
Mulling over these facts, the MC asked, “Would you introduce your younger sisters to each other?”
Yunho answered, “I know everything about Changmin already.” Changmin added, “Actually, I know too much about him so I think we should keep a distance…”
Still persistent, the MC continued by asking, “What if your sisters really liked the other member?“ Changmin replied, “I did asked, but my sister is actually a fan of Super Junior’s Si Won.“
