4 December:

Well it looks like the show acquired some additional star power, as a preview for next week’s episode featured an appearance by international superstar, Jackie Chan!
In the preview, Jackie Chan can be seen in pre-recorded videos, acting as the person to give them clues and directions for their missions. Jackie Chan even spoke in Korean at one point, telling Yoo Jae Suk, “Grasshopper, quickly run!” and also ending with “Running Man, daebak!”
PD Jo Hyo Jin revealed that although he would have loved for Jackie Chan to participate directly in the show, it would’ve been difficult in reality for foreigners to really do it because of the format. Still, Jackie Chan did his best to bring some fun to the show, which we’ll be able to see on December 11th.

20 November:

On the latest episode of SBS‘ ‘Running Man, viewers were treated to a horror movie as veteran actorChoi Min Soo made good on his promise to capture and subjugate all of the cast, as a means of getting revenge after he was humiliated by Yoo Jae Suk during his first guest appearance earlier this year.
The ‘Running Man hunter’ displayed amazing chasing skills as he hunted down the ‘grasshopper’, Yoo Jae Suk.  He even toyed around with his life by repeatedly letting him go before capturing him once more.  Although the episode ended in Choi Min Soo’s victory, that didn’t stop MC Yoo Jae Suk from getting even – after Choi Min Soo went home, of course.
“Hyung is going to be very angry when he hears this,” the ‘nation’s MC’ joked to the other cast members. “But right now, the score is 1:1.”
The panicked other cast members quickly covered up his mouth, but not before Choi Min Soo overheard his declaration of war, setting the stage for a possible third battle.
Meanwhile, beautiful actress Son Ye Jin, Lee Min Ki, and Park Chul Min are slated to guest on next week’s episode of ‘Running Man’.

31 October:

On the most recent episode of Running ManKim Sun Ah and Song Joong Ki made appeared as special guests.  One of the main games played was the ‘Nationwide Tour Race‘ which started from DaeJeon through various smaller cities and then back to Seoul.
The participants were required to wear animal costumes along with heavy masks.  Their mission was to arrive at the last destination and draw in as many nearby residents toward their team’s flag.  The prize: the right to leave the filming set early.
Among the three teams, Kim Jong Kook, Kim Sun Ah, and Haha were the last to arrive at the final destination.  Due to their late arrival, the other teams believed that Kim Sun Ah’s team did not pose any threat.  However, that was not the case as the three came up with a brilliant plan to attract a large number of residents allowing them to win the game!
Ultimately, Song Joong Ki’s team came in last place and were forced to work overtime.  Song Joong Ki who made a comeback on the show stated, “It’s been a while since I came on the show and I get overtime….

2 October:

Lee Kwang Soo faced embarrassment in front of various SNSD members on “Running Man“.
On the episode that aired on the 2nd, Lee Kwang Soo was paired up with SNSD member Yuri. The couple teamed up with Yoo Jae Suk and YoonA couple. The first mission was to ride couple bikes to a picnic area, eat the food there, and then bike back.
Overwhelmed with excitement over being partnered with Yuri, Lee Kwang Soo speeded up intensely on the bike.
While running to the finish line, he saw that he was racing the other team’s Jessica. He tried to go down the stairs in one step at that moment, he lost his balance, and his legs got a bit wobbly and loose, which caused him to fall. Thus, he did not make it to finish line, causing his team to lose.
Before Yoo Jae Suk could explain what happened, Lee Kwang Soo asked him, “Please don’t share this.” After speeding up so much on the bike, from his excitement, he lost strength in his legs and they became a little loose. Yuri and YoonA could not hide their laughter about the situation, which made Lee Kwang Soo even more embarrassed.

On the latest episode of Running Man, the male cast stripped off their clothes to put a roof over some SNSD members’ heads.
On the October 2nd broadcast, members paired up to play a relay race game. During the opening, it started drizzling, which caused other members to forcefully strip Kim Jong Kook of his cardigan and give it to Taeyeon. Taeyeon used the cardigan to protect herself from the rain. Although Kim Jong Kook was quite startled and resistant, he gave it up to be a gentleman, on Yoo Jae Suk’s comment.
As the members kept entering, the rest of the men had to take off their clothes to provide “umbrellas” for the girls. When Yuri joked, “You know SNSD has nine members, right?”, Yoo Jae Suk hilariously replied, “Then, we’re going to start stripping beginning with Kim Jong Kook again.”

On October 2nd, SBS‘s ‘Running Man guested six members from SNSD who paired up with the male hosts of the show to participate in a couple racing game.
To pick their partners, SNSD and the male MCs had to shoot an imaginary arrow (just like in the dance choreography for “Hoot“) towards their partner of choice. If the individual accepts the proposal, then he/she must return the arrow with a “Fine with me!“.  On the other hand, those who wanted to reject proposals must say “Hoot“.
At first, the process went smoothly as Haha picked TaeyeonKim Jong Gook chose Seohyun, andGary picked Jessica. But as time went on, the remaining girls’ facial expressions changed bitterly as none of the MCs picked them.
Looking at the situation, Ji Suk Jin confidently believed that Yuri would accept his proposal, as onlyKwang Soo and Yoo Jae Suk remained beside him.  Unfortunately for him, Yuri immediately rejected his offer and picked MC Yoo. A love triangle was formed when Kwang Soo couldn’t give up on Yuri and attempted to claim her back.  Yuri rejected with a “Hoot” which lead YoonA to pick MC Yoo.
The situation became more messy when Hyoyeon chose Gary who was already taken by Jessica.  Gary could not hide his joy as it must have been like a dream for him, having two SNSD members fighting over him.  Gary could not reject Hyoyeon and accepted her proposal, but Jessica immediately proposed to Gary again in which he accepted, leaving Hyoyeon upset by his instability.
For those who haven’t watched the episode, check it out below!  The couple-matching game starts in part 3. Enjoy!

Actress Shin Se Kyung, and actor Lee Kwang Soo was reunited on SBS’s Running Man‘ after starring on the sitcom ‘High Kick Through The Roof” together.

While on the set of ‘Running Man’ in Jeju Island, Lee Kwang Soo confessed, “While filming the sitcom, Shin Se Kyung and I contacted each other frequently“, thus hinting at their friendly relationship.
Shin Se Kyung cheekily replied, “Lee Kwang Soo and I have a very ambiguous relationship,” causing the staff on the set to burst into laughter.
But Lee Kwang Soo persisted, and said, “Two weeks before Shin Se Kyung’s birthday is my birthday“, attempting to show that he was quite close to Shin Se Kyung.
The actress jokingly added, “There is no end to it if you put it that way,” and successfully avoided going into details about their association in a witty manner.
On this day, Shin Se Kyung also surprised the members of ‘Running Man’ with her aggressive attitude.
Yoo Jae Suk, who was a part of Shin Se Kyung’s mission team, said, “I’ve come to realize that Shin Se Kyung is not so easy-going“.

When asked how the idea came about, PD Cho said, “The movie ‘Sunny‘ has been making waves so we came up with an idea of bringing back things we did back in the day so that the whole family can watch and enjoy together. Actor Lee Kwang Soo is in love with Thailand!

During the July 10th episode of SBS’ ‘Running Man’, Lee Kwang Soo’s Thai speaking skills amused his many fans.
When asked what item he would like to carry to Thailand, Lee Kwang Soo chose a translator. However, instead of a translator, he received a Thai conversation book. Using that book, Lee Kwang Soo practiced Thai phrases on his fans. Since it seemed they understood what he was saying, Lee Kwang Soo happily stated, “I am no different from a native!” and was proud of his skill in Thai.
However, Lee Kwang Soo’s happiness was short-lived.  He became so engrossed with speaking Thai, he failed to avoid the wily Song Ji Hyo and sadly was captured. 1 July:
The cast and crew of SBS’s  ’Running Man‘ were pleasantly surprised by the reception they received when they visited Thailand to shoot the 1-year anniversary episode of the popular urban variety show.

Although the visit was shrouded in secret as usual, the Thai fans had figured it out in advance thanks to local drivers who helped move equipment beforehand.
Although the ‘Running Man’ PDs had expected most fans to cheer on 2PM’s Nichkhun (the weekly guest along with actress Kim Min Jung), they were surprised by the amount of fans who hollered for the other ‘Running Man’ members.
“The fans had made pickets for the ‘Monday Couple’, ‘Sparta Kooks’, and Haroro,” said PD Jo Hyo Jin.“It was surprising to see that Thai fans could somehow watch our show.”

The cast and crew were especially surprised by the reception to Lee Gwangsoo, the actor who is fixed member on the show. “Some fans came to greet us with painted-on mustaches,” the PD said. “I think Gwangsoo may have been crying.”
Although the cheers of the fans were something they were pleased to hear, there were also concerns with the shooting venue. “We hadn’t gotten advance permission to shoot, and if we couldn’t take care of the situation we would’ve had no choice but to close filming down.”
Thankfully, the fans understood after the situation was explained to them and the filming was able to continue. The PD also said that fans were gathered at the final shooting location, where they cheered on the winners.
The Thailand episode will be broadcast on July 3rd and will also feature Nichkhun’s family and relatives.
HaHa fell in love with his sisters,” the PD joked. Nichkhun’s  sisters, who have appeared on television before, are well-known for their beauty.

MC Yoo Jae Suk was spotted performing a good deed during the June 26th episode of SBS ‘Running Man’.
Yoo Jae Suk, Noh Sa Yeon, and Gary were trying to do their mission when they saw a middle-aged woman struggling to free her stroller, which was stuck on a curb.
Despite having a mission to fulfill, Yoo Jae Suk stopped to ask, “May I help you?” With Gary’s help, they got the stroller over the curb but later realized that it was a downhill street. After looking ahead, Yoo Jae Suk showed concern towards the woman by commenting, “It’s downhill from here..” He and Gary then walked the stroller all the way down the slope to make sure the woman and the child didn’t get hurt.
Netizens who saw this kind act that Yoo Jae Suk performed in the midst of busy filming commented, “I really want that kind of man”, “This is why he is the national MC Yoo Jae Suk”, and “Are there any men like that?”.

While filming, ‘Running Man’ regular Haha fell in love at first sight and suddenly confessed to Nichkhun’s younger sister. 11 June:
A recent story about the filming of SBS’s ‘Running Man‘ has come into the spotlight, but unfortunately, there’s no laughs attached this time.

On June 8th, a certain online community posted a shocking story on their bulletin with the title, “When you shoot ‘Running Man’ please give us a warning.”
The story read,
“‘Running Man’ was being filmed while I was on my way to school. They were shoving students who were just passing by, even swearing at them. Why do you swear when you didn’t give [us] prior notice [about the filming]? Try to understand where we’re coming from… Surely you don’t think that you have the power to treat us like that just because you’re holding a camera? Why did the ‘Running Man’ staff member swear at my friend…We were not trying to interfere with the filming; we were simply trying to pass by…Why do we have to listen to the ‘Running Man’ staff members curse at us with such profanity that we haven’t even heard from our parents? Did the ‘Running Man’ filming team reserve the place?”
Although this incident has been labeled as ‘nuisance filming’, it was reportedly not the first time that the filming of the show inconvenienced citizens.
In response to this event, netizens commented, “The producers need to avoid these kinds of disputes”, “Being an inconvenience to others…isn’t that too much?”, and “There are a lot of running shots in ‘Running Man’, but why don’t you try avoiding crowded places..”
Although the student never clarified what episode or location she was referring to, it’s probable that this incident happened at Seoul’s Ewha Women’s University, where KARA’s Goo Hara and Noh Sa Yeon recently made a guest appearance at.

On April 25th, SS501’s Heo Young Saeng attended the recording for an upcoming episode of SBS’s “Running Man“.

B2M Entertainment stated, “His doctors told us to restrict physical activity until his hand heals, but he was determined to keep his promise with the producers. The producers thought highly of his determination and sincerity with his work.”

‘Power Twitter’ star Park Joong Hoon recently caused some confused laughter to erupt on the set ofSBS’s “Running Man“, thanks to a spoiler he leaked on his Twitter.

Park and fellow guest Lee Sun Gyun attended their first recording for the show on April 18th, and although recording began normally as with any other day, producers were thrown off guard when they found out that the “Running Man” members already knew who their guests were.
But how? The culprit was none other than Park. Previously, a fan had asked what his schedule was for the week through his Twitter, to which he replied, “I’ll be on Running Man with Lee Sun Gyun.”
Although he deleted the tweet after realizing his mistake, thousands of fans and reporters were already alerted of the appearance thanks to the power of social media. Inevitably, the “Running Man” members claimed to have seen the news reports before the recording.
Lee complained, “The producers told me to stay quiet about it so I even kept it a secret from my wife!”
After completing their recording, Park commented, “I was deeply touched by the producers working with dozens of cameras for every shot. It was fun, but it wasn’t anything to be taken lightly of.”
Lee added, “The studio was more fun than the actual recording. It’s my first time seeing a lot of the members here, but we got close very fast after running around together for a bit.”
Their episode can be seen in full on May 1st.

25 April:
The surging ’storm’ of 2PM’s Nichkhun and Taecyeon on this week’s episode of SBS’s “Running Man” had the “Running Man” members stunned.

Nichkhun and Taecyeon guested for the April 24th broadcast of “Running Man” and displayed their remarkable chasing skills during the recording. They were given the mission to ‘remove the name tags of the members’ as they arrived on set, which took place at the French Culture Village in Gapyeong, Kyungkido.
The ‘Running Man’ members were unable to escape the amazing speed of Nichkhun and Taecyeon. Within 5 minutes of their arrival, Nichkhun and Taecyeon already ousted 3 members – showing off their superior athleticism. In particular, Kim Jong Kook, who had been the ‘ace’ among the members in past missions, hid humiliatingly in the bathroom when Nichkhun started to chase him.
Throughout the whole recording, Nichkhun and Taecyeon displayed resilience as they never tired while chasing down the members – proving their strength and title of ‘beast idols’.

This week’s episode of SBS’s “Running Man” had the members jumping up and down, as the guests were none other than SNSD’s Yoona and Sunny.

Usually, the castmates have to hunt for the guests, but this time, the tables were turned; Sunny and Yoona had to hunt for the members and stamp their name plates attached to their backs. Yoona and Sunny surprised the other members by going beast-mode, ravaging through the list one by one until they completed the mission.
Sunny was the one who got Song Joong Ki out and did so by hugging him hard, managing to get a hold of his name plate. After the mission was finished, he stated, “I was shocked. When I got closer to her, she didn’t run away and just hugged me without showing me her face.” Sunny replied by stating, “It’s because I am a huge fan.” The two became awkward with each other afterwards, which made the other members jokingly say, “Guys, just date!”, making them turn bright-red.
For the second mission, the members and the guests had to pick teams, which brought back the love-line between the two.
When Yoona asked the others to close their eyes and raise their hands up if they wanted to be on her team, Song Joong Ki didn’t do so. Sunny, wanting to make sure, said to him, “You didn’t raise your hands, right?”
The two ended up being on the same team and got closer, with Sunny even showing him her “3 Aegyo Combo Set”.

SBS’s “Running Man” has been on a roll lately, as seen by the unending praise they’ve been receiving from viewers.  On April 10th, the program attempted a new challenge style with one secret agent member (Yoo Jae Suk) out to eliminate the rest.
The other members were hilariously eliminated without knowing the real reason why, while Yoo Jae Suk worked under intense tension and pressure to keep his identity a secret.
Viewers praised the show for maintaining a certain level of tension all throughout, with scenes like Yoo Jae Suk nearly getting caught by Haha.  When Yoo Jae Suk’s double-agent identity was eventually revealed, the members were unable to hide their shock over the turn of events.
Viewers commented, “The idea for today’s episode was the best,” “So much tension, I loved it!”, and “I couldn’t take my eyes off of the thrill.”
Unfortunately, there were some criticisms towards the show when Yoo Jae Suk was depantsed on air.  Some commented, “It was kind of embarrassing to see with family,” “Was Yoo Jae Suk okay with that?”, and “That was really embarrassing.”

Kim Jong Kook’s cuteness went through the roof when he tried out the popular ‘apple hair’ style.

On April 10th’s episode of SBS’s “Running Man“, the muscular singer was subjected to a stress test with the goal of getting the least stress possible.
Other team members tried to get Kim Jong Kook’s stress levels up by tying his hair up. He successfully pulled off the ‘apple hair’ by making cute expressions, to the surprise of his team members.
Yoo Jae Suk moved onto attacking him with food, and the singer had no choice but to eat what he was given. He is normally very health-conscious, so he is known to eat only healthy foods.
The members also gave him a uni-brow and tried to make him angry, to the delight of the cast and staff.

In this week’s episode of SBS’s “Running Man,” one special member was asked to act as a guest and eliminate the remaining members as a mission.

The 38th episode took the members to a hospital in Shinnae-dong that has yet to open, and put them on a mission to find a mysterious guest. While everyone took off, one member was taken aside and given a side mission to “eliminate the rest.”
The episode was more tension-filled than most, as over 300 people were brought in and transformed into doctors, nurses, and patients to fill the halls of the hospital.
Because only a select few producers knew the purpose of the secret member, a reversal played by the member threw not only the other “Running Man” members into shock, but the staff members as well.

28 Maret:SBS’s Running Man“ is currently receiving some backlash from the public for using unfair ways to win a dinner game.

On March 27th, Jung Yonghwa and Daesung appeared as guests for the show and experienced going on a camping trip. In order to make dinner, the “Running Man” members were divided into two teams. Each team were given a mission to make separate dishes for dinner, with the best-tasting dish being declared as the winner. As such, two representatives from each team went to the local convenience store and bought ingredients for the challenge.
‘Team Blue’ chose Yoo Jae Suk and Daesung as their representatives, while ‘Team Red’ chose Kim Jong Gook and Song Ji Hyo. Hilariously, the ‘dumb and dumber’ pair were scolded by the blue team for not buying any seasoning, such as salt and pepper for the dish. In the end, Yoo Jae Suk decided that all could be saved by putting powdered ramen soup into the dish as its seasoning. This was a common ‘technique’ used in Family Outing‘ every time a dish did not taste good.
After receiving praise from unaware team members for creating such as delicious tasting soup, Yoo Jae Suk sent a video message to Yoon Jong Shin, who first came up with this idea: “Jong Shin hyung, are you watching? Today you should try putting this in as well. It is really good. Today it is especially good.”
Although the segment was hilarious, viewers nevertheless showed a negative response as they said, “The team went against rules. The PD specifically stated, ‘You can’t put soup in,’ and the rule was even visible as subtitles but during the game Yoo Jae Suk’s team put soup in and still won.”
Furthermore, viewers also commented on the message boards, “Winning after going against the rules…” “I do not think I could view this with the kids. Is this a kind of show where they teach kids that cheaters win in the end?” and “Today’s episode was fun but I just did not understand the soup part.”

Big Bang’s Daesung recently made a ludicrous statement that made many people laugh.

During an episode of SBS Running Man that aired on the 27th, Daesung made a guest appearance where he reunited with MC Yoo Jae Suk as the infamous ‘dumb and dumber’ combo created during their days back in SBS Family Outing. The pair then became engrossed in a conversation where they compared the roles of Running Man members to the role of Family Outing members. When Jae Suk asked, “Who do you think Kwang Soo resembles from Family Outing?” Daesung wittingly replied, “He’s like Lee Chun Hee, not knowing when to stop.”
Furthermore, when Jae Suk asked, “Who do you think Song Joong Ki resembles?” Daesung lit up a big smile and comically said, “Song Joong Ki is handsome and plays the visual of this show. So out of Family Outing, wouldn’t that be me?” The moment Daesung made such a comparison, the entire staff and Running Man members broke out into laughter.

The cameramen for SBS’s “Running Man” have been earning the attention of viewers and netizens alike for their important role in the hit variety program.

Unlike the cameramen on other programs, the “Running Man” crew must literally run all program long. Ever since viewers began catching brief glimpses of them running side-by-side with the celebrities, the cameramen have become star figures on the show.
In fact, they’re not just secondary staff members; they’re critical players who sometimes work with the castmates, or against them.
SBS’s “Entertainment News went on set to meet these special staff members and found Ryoo Kwon Ryeol, famous for being Yoo Jae Suk’s cameraman. When “Running Man” first began, he had to endure criticisms because he wasn’t able to keep up with the slimmer gagman. After losing 8kg, however, he found no problem in keeping up with the crew while holding a camera, and remains very much an important figure to Yoo Jae Suk’s success.
To the cast of “Running Man”, the cameramen have become a hyung or dongseng, someone that they can’t imagine being without anymore.
According to cameraman Kim Kijin, “We spend a lot more time with the cast members on ‘Running Man’ and it’s vital for us to be in sync with them, so it’s easier for us to get closer compared to other programs. The members take care of us well and often ask if we’re tired.”

‘Aggressive Joong Ki reflected on filming his first episode with the cast of SBS’s “Running Man” in a recent interview with Newsen.

When I first began filming for ‘Running Man,’ I was severely nervous because it was my first time on a variety show. I never had any idea what to do and I barely got any sleep the night before recordings,” he expressed.
WIth a laugh, he continued, “But with every new recording, I became closer with the members, and now it doesn’t even feel like I’m recording, it just feels like I’m here to play.”
At the mention of his teamwork with the other members, he stated, “If we weren’t close to one another, the show would be awkward. We chat and joke around during break, and I think that energy carries over to the show in creating a lot of fun and natural cuts.” Whether or not the camera is rolling, he revealed, laughter is unending on the set of the show.
Producers of the show commented, “He’s really aggressive. Despite it being his first variety show appearance, he adjusted quickly, which surprised all of us. He’s basically the maknae of the ‘Running Man’ members, and really does receive a lot of love from the cast and the crew for it. The few times where he’s lacking is actually charming to us. Not only is he close with his cast members, but all of the staff members as well.”

Song Ji Hyo randomly suggested, “We should split into groups of two and go from there!”, to which Kim Jong Guk jokingly replied, “Is it because you want to be with Gary by yourself?  If you want him that bad, I can give him to you.” Gary shyly said, “I need time to myself too, you know.”
The group eventually listened to Song Ji Hyo’s suggestion, leaving Gary and Song Ji Hyo as a pair.  Enjoying the opportunity, the two held hands as they walked the streets before finally settling on one restaurant.
Song Ji Hyo asked, “Should we forget about finding the guests and just eat delicious food?” Excited, but still shy, Gary was unable to put his head up and meekly agreed.   The two even drank out of the same drink with two straws, leading Gary to blush and add, “This is the first time I’ve ever done something like this.”
The ‘couple’ were met with a slew of compliments once back out on the streets, with many praising, “You guys look so great together!” and “Please just date!”
