2012 Cube Star Audition in Korea

31 December:
Cube Entertainment will be holding their first nationwide audition tour in 2012!

Starting on January 5th, the company will kick off their eight-city ‘2012 Cube Star Audition in Korea‘ in Junju, followed by Kwangju, Daegu, Busan, Daejun, Wonju, Seoul, and Jeju.
Contestants can apply in the areas of dance, singing, acting, modeling, and MCing. There are no restrictions based on nationality, gender, or age – anyone can participate.
4minute and B2ST showed their support to the auditioners by stating, “We’re looking for the next stars to follow in 4minute, B2ST’s, and G.NA‘s footsteps to becoming the future of Cube Entertainment. We hope that you achieve all that you have dreamed. We’ll always be supporting our future stars.”

Trouble Maker

5 December:

4minute’s HyunA and B2ST’s Jang Hyunseung (a.k.a. Trouble Maker) have been heating things up with their hot debut and Mnet Japan through their program “Exciting Cube” recently gave fans a behind the scenes look at the making of of their music video.
Opposite from how they portray themselves with a lot of sexual tension in the music video, you can see that they’re actually much more adorable behind the scenes.

4minute’s HyunA and B2ST’s Jang Hyunseung (a.k.a. ‘Trouble Maker‘) stirred the coals a few days back with their hot introductory performance at the ‘2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards‘. Now they’re ready to bring the heat with their official music video for “Trouble Maker“!
As hinted in their earlier teasers, “Trouble Maker” is a MV that plays on the cat-and-mouse theme. Set in a lavish hotel room, the video is rife with gunplay and sexual tension — a combination that’s sure to make them a huge hit from the get-go.

One of the year’s most surprising and highly-anticipated duos has finally unveiled their very first mini-album!
On December 1st, 4minute‘s HyunA and B2ST‘s Hyunseung (a.k.a. ‘Trouble Maker‘) released their 4-track mini-album of the same name through various Korean music portals.
HyunA and Hyunseung aim to unearth a new side to their musical repertoires, resulting in an album that carries a variety of styles and attitudes.

Cube Entertainment‘s new project duo, Trouble Maker, has released the tracklist for their upcoming debut album!
Trouble Maker is comprised of labelmates HyunA from 4minute and B2ST‘s Hyunseung (who’ll be going by the moniker JS in this unit). The duo released a teaser through YouTube on November 25th, which also showcased the tracklist for their first album.
The full album will be released on December 1st. In the meantime, check out the tracklist and teaser below.

Cube Entertainment has kicked off its countdown for Trouble Maker‘s debut by releasing an image teaser today.

Trouble Maker is a special performance unit comprised of 4minute‘s HyunA and B2ST‘s Jang Hyunseung (a.k.a. JS). When it was revealed that these two idols would make up the unit, many in the music industry took notice and mused, “This is a unit that nobody could have imagined.”

In their teaser photo, HyunA and JS took sequenced shots arranged in such a way that it resembled an intricate dance. JS gave his trademark ‘cool-guy’ glare, which HyunA matched with a strong expression of her own. There’s no set concept yet, except to showcase bold confidence.
Trouble Maker will release their debut EP on December 1st, but stay tuned for more teasers from the duo.

“K-Pop Star Hunt”

24 July:
A new music audition program has just been announced, and it’s set to make its way around Asia in the coming months to find the next idol trainee for Cube Entertainment!

It was recently announced that CJ E & M Asia and Fox International have joined forces with Cube Entertainment to produce a new show called, “K-Pop Star Hunt”, a survival audition program that will be carrying out auditions in popular cities around Asia to find the next potential Cube artist.
Promotions for the audition program will begin in Southeast Asia during the end of August, and starting from late September, the team will be selecting a total of 20 participants from each of five countries - Taiwan, Hong Kong, Philippines, Thailand and Singapore – to form the ‘Top 100′ of the show.
Only the top two contestants from each country will be selected for the ‘Top 10′, who will be personally training with Cube Entertainment for two months before going into the final elimination rounds in mid January-February of 2012.
A representative of Cube Entertainment stated, “We will be working to find potential talents for Cube Entertainment, starting with judging audition-hopefuls to training those who clear rounds.”
The final winner of this audition program will earn themselves an exclusive contract with Cube Entertainment, who boasts stars like G.NA, 4minute, and B2ST.
“K-Pop Star Hunt” will begin airing on cable channel tvN in January-Februrary of next year.

U-Cube

11 November:

‘United Cube’ album will be released in Australia!
This international version of the album will be sold in various record stores across six major cities, starting on November 11th.
Although the album has been available for download on iTunes Australia, Cube has decided to offer Australian fans an easier way to get their hands on a physical copy of the album.
‘United Cube’ album contains a compilation of 17 hit tracks from 4minuteB2ST, and G.NA, such as“Hot Issue”, “Muzik”, “Mirror Mirror”, “Shock”, “Breath”, “Fiction”, “Black and White”, “Top Girl”, “Change”, “Bubble Pop”, and more. ‘UCube’s “Fly So High’, which is currently not available for download on iTunes, will also be included.
A representative of Universal Music Australia stated, “In Australia, the level of affection and interest in K-Pop has spread beyond the Asian community and is rapidly spreading among Australian residents. Various media outlets are currently carefully monitoring this new movement… With the strategic partnership between Universal Music and Cube Entertainment, we are very happy to be able to provide the album of the charismatic Cube artists for the first time in the history of Korean-Australian music business.”
In addition, the record shop within the famous World Square in Sydney, will be opening a section in the store specially dedicated to K-Pop.
With Australia as its start, Cube Entertainment plans to release the album in other parts of the world like South America and Europe.
In related news, ‘United Cube Concert’ will be held on December 5th in London, England and on December 13th in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Cube Entertainment, the record label that signed 4minuteB2ST, and G.Na, have just released their very first ‘family song’, titled “Fly So High“.
“Fly So High” is a collaboration track featuring the afore-mentioned twelve Cube Entertainment family members, now known as ‘U-Cube’. It’s an upbeat and addictive song that harmonizes the artists’ unique talents to create the perfect feel-good summer track.
While the song was in its production stages, the U-Cube family members were honest with one another, offering their experience and expertise to help each other refine their talents, as they worked more earnestly on this track than any of their previous projects.
The U-Cube members will all be performing their ‘Fly So High’ single for the very first time at the UNITED CUBE CONCERT on August 14th. They plan to debut the song on other overseas stages, like in Japan and England. Check out U-Cube’s first family song below!
