T-Max

4 January:
T-Max has unfortunately announced that they will be disbanding as a group.

Their agency, Planet 905 Entertainment, revealed that the members agreed to a disbandment at the end of 2011 in order to pursue individual activities. Minchul and Chanyang will continue their path as singers, while Kim Joon, Yunhwa, and Park Hanbi concentrate on their acting careers.
T-Max debuted in 2007 with their single album “Blooming” and became a hit after Kim Joon starred in the KBS drama, ‘Boys Over Flowers‘. Their OST, “Paradise“, has become a trademark in the industry.
Yunhwa enlisted in the army early last year and Kim Joon enlisted shortly after, leaving Minchul and Chanyang as the only members able to promote in the group.
Although fans are upset with the news, they promised the boys that they will support their individual paths.
CEO Yoon Jung Soo expressed, “They’re a group like real brothers to me and I truly did all I could for them so I wanted to take in whatever decision they chose. I told them that they could return as T-Max whenever they wanted to.”

T-Max’s agency gave its official statement on the possible dissolution of T-Max after Kim Joon’s enlistment with, “When it first started as a 3-member group until its current reorganization as a 4-member group, the members of T-Max had the common factor of loving music, they are friends to one another.
The agency continued, “Even though member Shin Min Chul’s exclusive contract is expiring, the name T-Max that he was selling for is always right for other various members, and they can come back with various music genres.
