The Core Contents Media labelmates collaborated on a beautiful ballad, whose lyrics express the desperate feelings of a woman who doesn’t want to let her relationship go, even though her lover has already left. This song, then, is like a final plea to that lover; if he hears this song, he should return to her because he’s the only one for her.

On January 17th, the Davichimember shared a new update on her Twitter, saying,“I promised at our concert on December 28th [that I would] reveal my triceps. I was joking around at first, but it blew up so I was getting anxious…They’re not perfect but I tried. It’s a bit embarrassing to call them triceps, so here are my ‘try’-ceps! Anyways, I kept my promise! Haha.”

On the 29th, Davichi made a comeback for the first time in over a year by dropping their new mini-album, ‘Love Delight‘ online.
This album is especially noteworthy, since it is Min Kyoung’s first attempt at songwriting. During an interview with StarNews on the 29th, Min Kyoung shared, “It definitely wasn’t easy considering it was my first time composing, but I reminded myself to keep my eyes on the prize and I approached it genuinely.”
She continued, “Its a song that I wrote based on my past experience… I hope that you will feel my openness and honesty as I sing this song on stage. I will be singing about the emotions that I felt, and not about the heartache that someone else wrote about.”
“The lyrics talk about having been with a certain someone for too long. The relationship gets stale and dull, and you feel lonely even when you’re with that person. The song is about wondering if maybe you’re the one that’s grown cold, or maybe your love has just lost its flame.”

On December 27, Davichiheld their ’Adieu 2011 Shining a Light Concert‘ at Seoul Bangi-dong’s Olympic Hall.
During the concert Davichi sang their hit songs such as “Accident“, “8282“, “Love and War“, and “Stopping Time“.
At one point however, Davichi surprised their fans with the display of their fierce side by singing and dancing to 2NE1‘s “I Am the Best“. They also revealed their cute retro side by singing and dancing to T-ARA‘s “Roly Poly” with a special guest appearance from T-ara themselves.
At the beginning of their performance, instead of singing “I saw your quivering lips for the first time“, member Haeri sang, “I was shaken and despaired by your few words“, oddly combining the first lines of both the first and second verses.
When Haeri finished, groupmate Kang Min Kyung gave her a confused look but managed to smoothly sing Haeri’s original part of the song.
The lyrics being streamed on screen suddenly stopped, as they did not coincide with the words the girls were singing.
Although their lyrics were off, the girls didn’t stop singing for a second and powered through their performance. Without looking too carefully, it would be hard to notice that they even made a mistake.

Lee Haeri and Kang Min Kyung of Davichi is known as a girl group with amazing vocal skills as well as beautiful looks — but there’s far more to this talented duo than meets the eye and ear. For one, the title of “girl group” doesn’t seem to quite fit them as they stated, “We’re women, so it makes sense to call us a girl group, but it’s quite awkward. They start calmly and then get stronger during the chorus so we understand that these hit songs caused this image. We didn’t want to be holed into one image so we had new composers and lyricists like Jun Hye Sung to create some change. “I think it’s obvious that I can’t stand up next to Haeri because she does so well. “Because the drama was so strong, it was hard. From the beginning, the character went through sexual harassment, got her face slapped, and attempted suicide. I experienced all the hard ships. Since we had to film it all in a few days, I lost a lot of weight because I had no appetite. I even took a photo of me looking like a zombie, and forwarded it to Haeri.” -Kang Min Kyung
“I fulfilled a childhood dream so I was happy. I used to go around saying that I wanted to do a musical. I spent time with my fellow actors including JYJ‘s Junsu like we were part of a club so it was fun.” -Haeri
Kang Min Kyung starred in ‘Laugh, Mother’ with acclaimed actress Lee Misook as mother and daughter. Was she intimidated by the situation?
“At least, I really shriveled up. After hearing that Lee Misook would be cast in the role of the mother, I’m such a fan that I went to the audition again. But I heard that she doesn’t even look at actors who aren’t talented so I was really scared. I’m not sure if she thought how hard I worked was cute, but she really babied me. Whenever I was unsure, she said, ‘Acting is done from the heart. If you act from fakeness, you will never be able to move anymore’. I want to be like her as a woman and an actor. It’s really shocking that she’s able to maintain such a perfect body line at that age.” -Kang Min Kyung

“We hear a lot that if we’d met as a man and woman, we’d be soul mates. We think that teamwork means everything in Davichi. Even when we’re not promoting, we do everything together. After seeing “1 Night 2 Days” recently, we went to the southern sea together. Because I was so busy with my musical, I wasn’t able to monitor Min Kyung’s drama or take interest in her so she felt sad despite saying she was okay. It’s like we’re dating. Haha.”-Lee Haeri
Back in 2006, Davichi met the ‘Midas hand of music’, Kim Kwang Soo, on Chuseok and began training to achieve their dreams of becoming singers. Aged 21 and 16 at the time, the girls watch the full moon and prayed to be recognized as singers with exceptional vocal talent.
Haeri stated, “Every time Chuseok rolls around, the first thing I think is, ‘Wow, it’s already been x amount of years.’ It’s a time where I reflect on the past and make goals for the future.”
Their agency has completely cleared out their schedule on the day of Chuseok as a present for their debut anniversary. With their comeback, they’ve had at least five to six activities lined up per day in order to make up for their one-year and three-months hiatus.
Minkyung explained, “Even if it’s only for just a day, it’s truly a sweet moment for us. We can sleep as much as we want and eat delicious food with our family. I’m going to catch up on the variety shows that I missed out on.”
This year, their full moon wish is different from the one they first made five years ago. Haeri said, “I’m going to wish to meet an amazing man this year. My ideal type is someone smooth with an attention to detail. I don’t like bad guys; I prefer someone that can watch over me.”
Minkyung continued, “I’m going to wish for independence. I want to live alone lately, especially because I’ve been waking up my family so often lately while working on the piano late at night. I want a space for myself where I can play music and watch movies.”
While working on their comeback album, the girls revealed, “There were a lot of nights where we couldn’t sleep because we were so worried. It’s been three years since our debut, and it’s an important milestone for us because we’re at a point where we can predict whether we’re going to become long-run singers or not. We know how important it is, which is why we paid special attention to our album’s concept.”
Haeri added, “Our biggest concern was whether we should go with a radical change or adopt a performance style using dance moves. We were even more careful because of how long our hiatus was. Although we listened to the advice of those around us, it basically boiled down to our roots. We decided to just go with what we’ve been doing all along.”
Minkyung continued, “I’m really happy because the response has been so positive, which debunked our concerns. There hasn’t been a major slump for Davichi in the three years we’ve been promoting, and so we feel lucky. This is an important time for us, so we’re going to focus on our roots and our songs.”
Haeri concluded, “I want people to regard Davichi as ‘singers who truly work hard.’ I really like the phrase, ‘Silent but deadly.’ I’m going to continue working to grow and mature in order to show an improved image.”

Representatives of Core Contents Media revealed on August 27th, “Every single song from Davichi’s upcoming album has been leaked online. The songs are currently being widely circulated throughout YouTube, Facebook, and other portal sites.”
The album was originally scheduled to hit stores on August 29th. Representatives are currently looking into the matter, but have confessed that it will be difficult for them to change the release date.
They added, “The company and the members of Davichi are both very upset with the matter. It’s a new album, their first in a year and three months, so the entire situation is just very upsetting.”
