Two-member band TRAXopened up about their new album during a recent interview.
When asked if their first live comeback performance went well, they responded that it was “so-so“, expressing that in retrospect, any performance could always have been better.
“Blind“, the title track to their third mini-album, is a song which member Jungmo personally wrote and composed. “It’s a ballad with a soft melody but paired with an intense, hard sound. The dramatic turn in the song is the highlight. It’s a song I wrote pretty ambitiously so there are a lot of different genres in the song. The sound goes back and forth from hard to soft, and so the running time for the track ended up being longer than expected. Some remarked that the song had a J-Rock sound,” he explained.
In regards to the song being titled “Blind”, he said, “When people look through windows, they are not looking at the window itself, but the view behind it. If the windows were actual people, they would desire others to see them for what they are, instead of looking through it to everything behind them.”
TRAX also thanked Super Junior‘s Kyuhyun and f(x)‘sVictoria who featured in their music video. “We’re so grateful for the both of them. Victoria took time out from her busy schedule and Kyuhyun was able to make some time for us at the last minute. we texted him to thank him for featuring in the video, but he actually apologized and said he wished he could have done a better job.”
Kyuhyun and Victoria pose as two people who yearn for each other, but there aren’t any scenes where the two of them come face to face. “It’s because we weren’t planning on having a male lead in the video until the very end. That’s why the teaser only features Victoria. We wanted to mostly have scenes of our band, and we etched in a few clips of a woman distraught over her lover. When it was all said and done, we figured it would be better to turn the MV into an actual love story and added Kyuhyun.”
The boys were also asked about Jay‘s song, “Tomorrow” that was featured on the ‘SM the Ballad‘ album. This song in particular was banned by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, as the lyrics that sang about alcohol was considered inappropriate for minors. SM Entertainment filed a lawsuit and won, lifting the ban on the song.
“We didn’t even know,” Jay said. ”All we knew is that they put a 19+ sticker on it because we sang about alcohol, but later realized the issue had gone to court. It’s absurd. Just because the song sings about alcohol, doesn’t mean minors will immediately drink alcohol upon hearing the song. It’s so random.”
“If that’s the case, then we should eliminate all alcohol advertisements from society. Even in PG 13 movies, there are scenes with alcohol,” Jungmo added.
When asked about their past, they revealed that they debuted with a rather shocking visual appearance. Jay was supposed to represent a typhoon, and Jungmo represented Christmas.
The boys admitted that they were not ashamed of what they did, and that it was fun. “We didn’t do anything we didn’t want to do. We laugh about having performed with 2.5 inch heeled shoes. There are fans who miss when we did things like that, and there are others who never want us to do that again. For us, it just serves as one of our memories. If we had the opportunity to do it again, I don’t think we would mind.”

Rock band TRAX is back with their 3rd Mini album, “Blind“.
This is TRAX’s first album release after a long hiatus of a year and two months, and fans will be delightfully surprised at how much the two members have matured musically over that time frame.
The two members Jungmo and Jay have been promoting themselves as individuals for some time now, in order to expand their boundaries. Jay has taken up a few acting roles in KBS‘s ‘The ladies of our house‘, as well as ‘President‘, being acknowledged for his natural acting abilities. Jungmo has been working with Super Junior‘s Kim Hee Chul on new project group M&D, showcasing his various musical talents as well as becoming a musical star on ‘Fame‘, further heightening fans’ expectations for the musical.
The new mini album contains six new songs, and the two have actively participated in writing and composing the songs and fans will be able to see the different musical colors of the group.

Rock groupTRAXhas announced that they’ll be making a comeback next week!
TRAX will release their 3rd mini-album, “Window” on November 10th, their first release in over a year.
Members Jungmo and Jay have been working on their respective solo activities in dramas, radio and variety programs in order to get their names out to more people. Consequently, their comeback this time around has gained more attentive followers.
Jay drew fans of all ages by acting in two KBS dramas, “President” and “Our House’s Women“. Meanwhile, Jungmo worked with Super Junior‘s Heechul in a project duo called M&D, and he’ll also be starring in the musical revival of “Fame“.

In the episode of MBC’s Jung Bo Suk’s Chungdam-dong at one o’clock that airs on August 1 Trax’s Kim Jung Mo and Super Junior’s Kim Hee Chul appear in a group called M&D.
In the episode Kim Jung Mo and Kim Hee Chul talk about “real” side of each other which is different from what is shown on TV. When Kim Jung Mo gains female cast’s heart, Kim Hee Chul dropped a bombshell revealing the “real” side of Kim Jung Mo.
Kim Jung Mo panics at Kim Hee Chul’s unexpected comment and strongly denies it, but Kim Hee Chul does not stop. Eventually, Kim Jung Mo shows a long face.

On July 25th, Super Junior’s Kim Heechul announced the official disbandment of his project group with the Trax’s Jungmo, ‘M&D‘.
He wrote, “With today’s schedule as the last, M&D’s 21st century promotions will be coming to an end. Goodbye forever.. (?) Let’s meet again through Super Junior and Trax.”
After the release of their star-studded music video, the duo had their first and only performance atMnet’s ‘20’s Choice‘ earlier this month. Netizens were undeniably disappointed over the news, especially since it brought out a different side to the two men.
Fans commented, “We live in a world where even retirements are reversed, so feel free to come back“, and “You can’t disband until you overthrow UV!”
SM Entertainment's latest special project group, M&D, recently had an interview with 10Asia and revealed that their request to create the group was approved within a month.
Super Junior Heechul revealed that he approached The TRAX's Jungmo about creating a team and wrote up a proposal afterwards to submit. He continues, "And when I submitted it to our CEO and Mr. Lee Soo-man, they told us, 'Okay, go ahead and try out everything that you want to.'"
The duo revealed that they're music video "Close Ur Mouth" was shot in under 10 minutes featuring some of their closest celebrity friends at a karaoke bar. The music video featured miss A's Jia, Supreme Team's Simon D, FT Island's Lee Hongki and Jonghoon, and BEAST's Junhyung.
The lyrics, which were written by Heechul himself, were also written in ten minutes. Kim Heechul explained, "We do it because it's fun. That's how I want to live my life. A lot of people took part in creating M&D's music so I came to form new dreams regarding music. And there are things I have come to want to do regarding music. It makes me very happy."
"I think about a lot of things such as the season or trend when making songs as a member of TRAX but I really just do whatever I want to as M&D. Should I say that I practically pour in my all to what I want to do?" said Jungmo.
Jungmo continues, "Singers are supposed to have a hard time if they release an album and they're 400th on the chart but that's not the case at all for us."
Heechul adds, "The songs from 'Infinite Challenge' may go up a single step, from No. 2 to 1, but ours go up 100 slots at a time!"
This was only a preview of 10Asia's interview with M&D, however through this small preview, it was revealed that M&D had come about just to create music for fun.

The mystery girl on Kim Heechul’s Kiss Performance has been revealed.
Kim Heechul on July’s 5th MNet 20’s Choice presented a kiss performance to the audience.
Kim Heechul’s newly formed group with Trax’s Kim Jungmo, called M&D with dancers on the stage, as they were trying to make a sexy atmosphere, presented a “kissing scene with a woman” as the last part.
At this, netizens said “Who is the girl that Kim Heechul kissed?” and as everyone were saying “I am so curious about the identity of the girl that Heechul kissed”, many showed great interest on the girl.
This girl was rookie model, Park Hyejin. Just turned 18 year old Park Hye Jin is 171cm tall, with its long arms and legs, who dreams to be the second Jang Yoonjoo, a famous model from South Korea.
She was part of “Korea’s Next Top Model – Season 2” and was drawn much attention when her senior model Jang Yoonjoo praised her and said “Her walking (catwalk) is very good.”
Since forming their own project group, M&D, Super Junior’s Heechul and The Trax’s Jungmo sat down for their first interview as a duo with Sports World at a restaurant in Chungdam-dong.
Heechul was determined to “reveal everything inside of him” through the interview to emphasize the difference between M&D’s Heechul and Super Junior’s Heechul, but Jungmo replied that that didn’t apply to him. The two are already known for their deep friendship, as Heechul is described to be the movement while Jungmo is the tool that holds his center. Even representatives revealed that they’re at ease when they know Heechul is with Jungmo.
Plus and minus, hot and cold, although they’re of contrasting personalities, they manage to balance together as one, which definitely has fans anticipating their future music releases.

Q. “How did you come to create M&D?”
Jungmo: “We were talking about male duos on a radio program and I suddenly thought of the idea of forming a duo with Heechul hyung.Joo Young Hoon gave us a lot of advice and even said he’d write a song for us, which I refused. I knew that I wanted to do this on my own with Heechul hyung.”
Heechul: “We wrote up a plan sheet and submitted it to the company and Lee Soo Man said that it’d be fun. We didn’t think everything would happen so fast though. Our plan was to originally just release a digital song but things got to the point where we were even shooting a music video for it. The production costs amounted to $300 USD. We shot it at our company’s karaoke room and used close juniors likeHongki and Junhyung as free cameos. After six minutes of filming, we threw an after party for six hours.”
Q. “Do you have a specific goal with M&D?”
Heechul: “I wanted to get rid of the idol feel. I’ve always mentioned wanting to break away from the idol image, but Super Junior is the best idol group in the world. I want to use M&D to do everything I wanted to pursue. This time, I got a bit greedy with singing and tried to pursue music different from Super Junior’s. But I’ll make sure to never let this get in the way of our team.”
Jungmo: “I was never an idol to begin with, but I do have a strong image of being the guitarist of Trax. Through M&D, I hope to show that I can perform music other than rock. I like club music and I also like trot music.”
Q. “There were a lot of comparisons to UV being made. Some also thought you guys looked like you were joking around.”
Heechul: “Seyoon hyung was our motif because he’s similar to me in a lot of ways. We’ll be working with UV for Mnet’s ‘20’s Choice‘ on July 7th. That will be M&D’s first stage, but it could also be our last. We’re preparing something surprising.”
Jungmo: “I’ve never once performed music as a joke.”
Heechul: “M&D is not a temporary project. There are a lot of things I want to do through this group, and it’s something that will be ongoing into the future. They say that our digital ranking is dropping, and we can’t possibly continue if we fail like this since it’ll be embarrassing. Please help us out.”
Q. “What has changed since starting M&D?”
Heechul: “My agency gives me a lot of freedom but I always felt like I was trapped. I want to take this opportunity to write songs on my own and even date. I can’t write lyrics for sad ballads because I need to experience love for that. Even if I date, I won’t be revealing it to the public for her. There’s nothing I can do about it if we get caught, though…”
Jungmo: “I’ve always lived positively but always under the stress of having to compose songs. After writing songs that I wanted to make through M&D, I was able to shed a lot of useless thoughts. It’s great.”
Q. “Any closing words?”
Heechul: “I’m always apologetic to our fans. My personality is like that of a tree frog so I haven’t been able to provide them with proper fan service. Thank you for always believing in me and liking me anyway.”
Jungmo: “The public seems to believe that the company is always behind SM’s music, but I want to show that it’s not like that at all. There are no taboos with us!”

The character motif for project group M&D of Super Junior’s Kim Heechul and Trax’s Jungmo was revealed to be a picture of actress Han Ye Seul.
On June 29th, Kim Heechul stated, “I saw Ye Seul noona’s hair and made my character. But the problem is that my hair isn’t growing like that.”
In addition, Kim Heechul who always thinks of himself as healthy and not over the top, brought laughter as he said it is impossible for his hair to grow as quickly. Kim Heechul noted that his personal character’s hairstyle motif was based on a celebrity and also mentioned that the person who was able to match the celebrity would win a special prize through lottery.
One netizen answered with Han Ye Seul, to which Heechul replied, “That’s correct. I don’t have a prize to give so I need to think about it,” amplifying netizens’ expectations.

It’s only been a few hours since SM Entertainment released the news of a new project group being formed by Super Junior Heechul and Trax Jungmo, and their debut song has already been released.
M&D, short for Midnight & Dawn, will continuously release music which they want to do, regardless of the genre. For this first song, “Close Ur Mouth,” Kim Heechul was in charge of the lyrics, while Jungmo composed and arranged the song. Jungmo also recorded the bass, guitar and the electronic drum by himself. Both members are planning to write and compose every single song the project group will release.
Fellow SM Entertainment artists Kim Jungmo and Kim Heechul have banded together to form a new group called “M&D”!
The collaboration between the TRAX and Super Junior members will feature songs written, composed, and arranged by the artists themselves.
The name of their group, “M&D”, is an acronym for “Midnight & Dawn”; it also stands for the initials of their respective neighborhoods, ‘Miari’ (미아리) and ‘Dangye-dong; (단계동).
Their first title track, “Close ur Mouth Song“, will be released on June 22nd. The boys boast that it will feature a brand-new sound “unlike anything you’ve heard before.”
