Lee Jun Hyuk

Actor Lee Jun Hyuk has been confirmed for enlistment as an active-duty soldier in June.

A representative of his agency, Wellmade Star M, stated, “Lee Jun Hyuk will be enlisting next month. Although he still has drama-related schedules left, he has been confirmed to enlist in the coming month.”

Lee Jun Hyuk gained much popularity for his role as Jang Il on KBS‘s ‘Equator Man‘. His character is known for being childhood friends with Kim Sun Woo (played by Uhm Tae Woong), who betrays Sun Woo to keep his father from going to jail.

Lee Jun Hyuk has also appeared on SBS‘s ‘First Wives’ Club‘ in 2007, KBS’s ‘Three Brothers‘ in 2010, SBS’s ‘I Am Legend‘ in 2010, and SBS’s ‘City Hunter‘ in 2011.

After releasing the full music video for their new song “Love Addiction“, Tritops has just revealed a video clip titled, “Love Addiction (Another Story)”.

The new video clip serves as an hilarious alternate ending to the original music video that will have the fans laughing over the new kiss scene.

As reported earlier “Love Addiction” is the title track of the group’s first mini-album ‘Sweet Holic‘, released on May 25th KST. The album includes a total of 6 tracks in all with 1 introduction track and an instrumental version of “Love Addiction”.

Dani

T-ara has unveiled their new member, Dani!

Dani turns 14 this year and was raised in the States since she was four years old. Despite her young age, she stands at a height of 167 cm with stunning looks that people have compared to the likes ofOlivia Hussey.

Although she looks cute upon first glance, there is said to be an inner charisma to her style that makes her all the more charming.

As previously revealed, T-ara will begin promotions with their eighth member starting July 7th. Dani will join the group in December as the ninth member. She will, however, be starring in the group’s upcoming music video as an actress in the meantime.

The reason for the delay in Dani’s joining is because she wants to practice more and join when she feels she is completely ready so as to not bring any harm to the group’s way.

The eighth member will be revealed on a later date, so stay tuned!

Despite reports that T-ara‘s new members would be revealed with the group’s upcoming single, Star News reported on May 23 that the ninth member’s identity is now known.

New member Danee will become the group’s maknae at 14 years old. She’s been reported to have lived in the United States since she was 4 years of age. Danee will join T-ara before the end of this year, but she’ll be making an appearance in T-ara’s comeback music video in July, which is when the eighth member is expected to officially debut.

T-ara will promote as an 8-member group until the final member joins. Core Contents Media previously released a statement saying that though the additional two members have been decided upon, changes may still take place.

Jang Hyuk

After capturing the hearts of many female viewers on dramas like  ’Midas‘ and ‘Tree with Deep Roots‘, Jang Hyuk will be making a comeback on the big screen with ‘Cold‘.

It’s been recently reported that the actor has been receiving special rescue and emergency training for his new role as a firefighter in the upcoming film. Sidus HQ stated, “Jang Hyuk has been receiving special training before the start of their first filming. They will begin filming for the movie on April 7th.”

The movie ‘Cold’ is about a firefighter and his wife, who are searching for the cure to a deadly and contagious cold virus.

Singer Ivy hilariously revealed the reasons behind her decision to not come back with a dance track for her recent return to the industry.

On the May 28th episode of KBS2 TV‘s talk show ‘Hello‘, female solo artists Ivy, Baek Ji Young andAilee shared their concerns as well as listening to the worries of the public.

Ivy stated, “I’m more comfortable now that I’m doing a ballad instead of a dance song. When I dance, I lose my breath.” When the MCs asked her, “Why didn’t you do a dance song this time around?”, Ivy joked, “Because I am too old,” bringing laughter on set with her frank answer.

Baek Ji Young, who is older than Ivy and recently made her comeback with a dance track, remarked, “If you say that while sitting next to me, what does that make me?” Ivy tried to relieve the situation by adding, “Honestly, no good dance songs were coming in. So when I heard ‘Torn Heart’, I chose to do that song,” explaining the real reason behind her not going with a dance concept this time.

Ivy also revealed, “I’ve been stressed out because I keep gaining weight lately. Because I’m the type to gain excess fat in my belly, I don’t lost weight that well. I guess that’s what happens when you are over thirty,” which once again caused Baek Ji Young to become flustered.

Legendary idol group Shinhwa guest-featured on the May 1st broadcast of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Hello‘ to listen to the concerns of the contestants.

A man, who became an anti-Shinhwa fan due to his girlfriend’s excessive love for Shinhwa, made an appearance on the episode to share his dilemma about his girlfriend who was an avid fan of member Minwoo.

He opened up by saying, “My girlfriend doesn’t come out of her house often, ever since Shinhwa made their recent comeback.”

“Other groups break up so easily, so why is it that Shinhwa keeps making comebacks?” he asked, causing the audience members to explode into laughs.

MC Lee Young Ja then suggested he shake the hands of the Shinhwa members and formally say hello. Agreeing to this, the guest shook everyone’s hands with the exception of Minwoo.

Minwoo was his girlfriend’s favorite member, and Minwoo was able to easily spot her in the audience. He went towards her, and her boyfriend demanded that the two separate.

“This is so irritating,” he blurted, seeing his girlfriend sit side by side with Minwoo.

“My girlfriend gives me random pop quizzes on Shinhwa,” he continued. “She says she’ll give me a kiss every time I get the answers right.”

The MCs then proceeded to ask him questions about Shinhwa, including Minwoo’s birthday, and he was able to recite the date without any hesitation, thanks to the experience he gained from his girlfriend’s pop quizzes.

The guest was then handed photos of the Shinhwa members, and given permission to draw on their faces. “I’m sorry,” he said, as he joyfully drew on Minwoo’s face. When finished, he mercilessly crumbled Minwoo’s face in half.

It’s recently been revealed that Shinhwa‘s leader and one of the taller members of the group, Eric, also uses “ggalchang” (insoles that help boost height) in his shoes.

Shinhwa guest-featured on the April 30th episode of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Hello‘ to share some of their own stories, as well as taking the time to listen to the concerns of the public.

Member Minwoo was asked if he had any concerns as of late, and the singer revealed that fellow member Eric uses ggalchang in his shoes.

“I was looking at all of our shoes when I thought a specific pair with ggalchang in them were mine,” Minwoo remarked. “But the shoes actually belonged to Eric. I asked why he would even use these, when he’s over 180 cm tall.”

“I asked my stylist, what Dongwan and I were supposed to do then,” Minwoo blurted, expressing his frustrations as Eric and Jun Jin are the taller members of the group, while Minwoo and Donghwan are the shortest.

Minwoo then revealed that Eric offered an off-the-wall explanation for his insoles, saying, “These are the shoes of an actor,” causing the audience members laugh at Eric’s absurd explanation. MC Lee Young Ja then examined Eric’s shoes for herself, and sure enough, she was able to find the insoles in his shoes.

Singer Jay Park has once again drawn attention for his gentleman-like manners.

He had previously been praised for his polite manners when he was spotted gathering up the cue scripts that a staff member dropped. As a result, netizens could not help but notice his courteous gentleman-like gesture on the February 27th’s episode of KBS2 ‘Hello‘.

One of the guests on the program was Park Se Ra, who had applied to the show with her concern over her younger sister’s addiction to capsaicin sauce.

Park Se Ra slid down the slide to make her entrance on the program, and found herself lost in the ball pit as she reached the bottom of the slide.

Seeing this, Jay quickly got to his feet and hurried to help her up, and the audience could not help but remark on his polite gesture. He earned the praise and respect of the staff members on set as a ‘well-mannered gentleman’.

Netizens who saw the episode remarked, “Explosive manners, that Jay Park“, “That’s Jay for you“, and “Help me up too!”

MBC Everyone‘s ‘Weekly Idol‘ 2012

9 July:

f(x)’s Luna vehemently argued against the rumor that her height is in the 150cm range.

On the MBC Every1 variety show ‘Weekly Idol‘ that will air on July 11th, f(x), who is currently receiving a lot of love with their hit song ‘Electric Shock‘ appeared as guests and there was a segment where they got to rewrite their profiles which have not changed since their debut.

But people were really interest in f(x) member Luna’s height and actively tried to find out what it was.

Luna said, “I am definitely over 160cm but people keep saying that I am only 151cm.  I want to verify my height here,” and slammed her hands on the table and stood up.  With people looking on, they brought out a tape measure and Jung Hyun Don measured her and said, “She definitely is over 160cm,” and cleared up the frustration she had within her.

Luna responded by saying, “I am so relieved now.  The average height of the members are at 168cm and I looked so small between them that I was so stressed,” and revealed how she felt deep within herself.

Also on the program, other things were revealed such as Amber’s hidden drawing talents, the love the members have for meat, and the idol that Luna wants to do a duet with.

‘Weekly Idol’ featuring f(x) will air on the 11th at 6:00pm KST.

In order to wrap up the month of May, which is the ‘Festival Month’, idol guests on MBC Everyone‘s ‘Weekly Idol‘ placed their votes for the #1 Idol ‘King and Queen of College Campus Festivals’.

A Pink, miss A, 4minute, SISTAR, B1A4, U-KISS, and more all took part in the voting for the idols they thought would have the most presence at college festivals.

After all the votes were tallied CNBLUE‘s Jung Yonghwa received an explosive number of votes from the female idols, while the male idols placed their votes for miss A‘s Suzy.

4minute’s Gayoon and SISTAR’s Dasom remarked that they voted for Yonghwa not only for his good looks, but also because of his musical talent and chivalrous nature towards women. And Suzy who is often dubbed as the ‘nation’s first love’ once again proved that she was one of the leading idols of today.

This episode airs on May 30th at 6PM KST.

Actor Kim Soo Hyun was voted as the star idols want most when it comes to their own group.

On May 23rd’s airing of ‘Weekly Idol‘, a survey was conducted asking idols which star they would like to add as a group member.

The staff revealed the results of the survey, and Kim Soo Hyun came in first place. The actor inherited his former rock star father’s musical talents as well as his excellent acting skills, which he showed on ‘The Moon That Embraces the Sun‘. Kim Soo Hyun has received acknowledgement as both a great singer and actor.

Other celebrities who ranked on this survey are Busker Busker‘s Jang Bum Joon, actor Lee Kwang Soo, and comedian Shin Bora.

JYJ‘s Park Yoochun has been chosen as the singer who would suit the “king-look” best in the MBCdrama ‘Moon that Embraces the Sun‘.

On March 3rd, the segment ‘Real Chart! Idol Self-Ranking‘ under the cable program MBC’s ‘Weekly Idol‘ conducted a survey, which idols themselves participated in.  This episode revealed the ‘Best 3 Idol Casting for ‘Moon that Embraces the Sun’.

The survey was based on who would look best in the royal robe. Park Yoochun ended up being chosen for the idol who would suit Lee Hwon’s fierce, but soft character in ‘Moon that Embraces the Sun’ the best.

Following Park Yoochun, singer and actor Kim Hyun Joong was chosen 2nd, and CNBLUE‘s Jung Yonghwa came in 3rd.

The members of T-ara guest-featured on a recent episode of MBC Everyone‘s ‘Weekly Idol‘, where member Soyeon admitted that she has an unlady-like habit.

The idol confessed that she liked to sit comfortably without her legs put neatly together, then went on to share a funny story.

“Before I debuted with T-ara, I had a boyfriend. I met up with him one day, and turned on my aegyo, telling him that I missed him so much. While I was attempting to be cute, my legs were spread apart,” she said.

“But instead of responding to my aegyo, my boyfriend looked at me with a blank look on his face and just quietly gathered my legs together,” she continued. “I was so taken aback and embarrassed,” she admitted, causing the entire set to explode in laughter.

The MBLAQ members have their eyes on girl group A-Pink.

The boys who are actively promoting their song “This Is War” recently guest-featured to film the February 11th episode of MBC Everyone‘s ‘Weekly Idol‘.

When MC Jung Hyung Don asked if there were any girl groups that have caught their attention as of late, MBLAQ leader Seungho and fellow member G.O. agreed that A-Pink is one of their favorites groups.

“They’re really nice girls, very respectful and polite,” they said.

Member Mir also chimed in and said, “I think member Eunji is the cutest out of all of them,” which caused Lee Joon to quickly blurt out, “Hey, I liked Eunji first!”

Lee Joon was then given a chance to send Eunji a video message, and he said, “I enjoy seeing you perform. You are a great singer, and I love the way you smile so adorably.”

This episode of ‘Weekly Idol airs on February 11th at 2:00PM KST.

Girl group T-ara member Hyomin is drawing attention after showing some interest in TEEN TOPmember Niel.

On a recent episode recording of MBC Everyone‘s ‘Weekly Idol‘, Hyomin selected TEEN TOP’s Niel as the male idol that has recently caught her attention.

When asked which male idol she would like a buy a meal for, she responded, “I think TEEN TOP is doing really well these days.”

She sent a video message to Niel on the spot saying, “I am enjoying your stage performances. Your hairstyle is similar to Eunjung‘s so I feel more drawn to you.”

She also added, “You’re kind of cute,” at the end, which surprised the other guests on set.

Fellow T-ara member Hwa Young selected Leessang‘s Gil as her ideal type saying, “Gil oppa~ buy me coffee~“, asking him to take her on a date.

Would be a cute couple if Niel was a bit older.

Rainbow member Woori remarked that she was jealous Wonder Girls‘ member Sohee‘s pretty face.

During the filming for the February 4th episode of MBC Everyone‘s ‘Weekly Idol‘, the guests on set selected the idols who they deemed to have ‘masterpiece’ faces.

Go Woori honestly remarked, “I am jealous of Sohee’s unique and pretty face,” while the members ofDal Shabet and A-Pink selected T-ara‘s Jiyeon saying, “She’s not only pretty, but she’s alluring as well.”

In the end, T-ara’s Jiyeon came in first place, followed by Girls’ Generation members Yoona andJessica who came in at 2nd & 3rd respectively.

Amongst the male idols, INFINITE member L, JYJ‘s Jaejoong, and Big Bang‘s T.O.P were the main contenders, and MC Jung Hyung Don remarked that he felt Jaejoong was more handsome than ‘Twilight‘ actor Robert Pattinson.
