Hello Venus‘sArahas posted up a behind-the-scenes photo taken from the set ofAfter School‘s new music video filming!
On May 30th, Ara wrote on her Me2day, “Right now, we are at our role model! After School unnis’ new track! Music video filming set~.”
She continued, “Their new track is honestly daebak!! Even though I am a girl, I feel that I could fall~ in~ love! @_@ I can’t show you everything yet so here’s a shot of our members’ backsides as they stare at the filming scene… I hope you understand…. Kyaah!! So cool, so cool~!!”
Fans were warmed to see the Pledis Entertainment juniors show such support for their seniors and commented, “Looking forward to it!”, “Even their backsides are pretty”, “I hope Hello Venus does as well as After School!” and “Hello Venus will do just as well!”
For the past two years, there’s been an onslaught of girl group debuts, so it’s no wonder netizens can’t help but be wary with each new debut.
When Hello Venus‘s teaser was first released, reactions were as expected. In the girls’ latest interview with Sports Chosun, they dished on how they really felt while going through the whole ordeal and what the situation is like now.
The girls started, “When we read the replies, we noticed that there were comments like, ‘Another one? They’ll disappear like the others, too.’ It really hurt us then.”
Fortunately, reactions have changed now that they’ve actually debuted, with many commenting that the group has exceeded their expectations and that they’re also the best out of the recent girl group debuts.
Hello Venus first emerged in the headlines as the sister group to After School under Pledis Entertainment. Many thought they’d follow After School with a sexy concept, but they couldn’t have been more wrong.
“Just because we’re sister groups doesn’t mean we’ll have the same concepts. After School’s powerful and sexy while we’re bright and cute. There’s also an added innocence factor.”
At the mention of their concept overlapping with A Pink, they replied, “A Pink looks younger and more girlish. We have a different type of cuteness.”
Their debut album contains a total of four tracks; their title track, “Venus“, being the most addictive. Co-produced by hitmakers Cho Young Soo and Kim Tae Hyun, the song’s repetitive “V.I.C.T.O.R.Y.” line has a captivating quality to it.
Lime commented, “We want ours to be a representative alphabet dance like the ‘YMCA‘. The melody in the chorus is really simple so it’s easy to follow along.”
Concluding the interview, Hello Venus said, “Our group’s strength is our stable teamwork. We’ve been dorming together since October and have since been holding family gatherings once every week around candle light. This makes our trust in each other grow stronger than ever. Although we’re rookies, we want to spread our name far and wide with our debut album and hopefully receive a rookie award at the year-end ceremonies.”
