Co-Ed‘s male unit, SPEED, will not consist of six members, but seven!

On February 17th, Core Contents Media revealed through Star News that SPEED has now become a seven-member unit. “After the addition of SPEED’s new member, Park Saejoon, they will promote as a seven-member group.”

The agency went on to introduce Saejoon to the public, saying, “Saejoon is in his last year of high school. He has thick eyebrows and defined facial features, and also possesses good looks… Core Contents Media’s CEO Kim Kwang Soo, praised Saejoon as the second Song Seung Hun.”

SPEED will now be made up of members Taewoon, Kwangheng, Jungwoo, In Oh (Noori), Sungmin, Jongkook, and Saejoon.

With the addition of the new member, the unit will be transferring from Core Contents Media to GM Contents Media. Their new agency, GM Contents Media, is headed by Kwon Shi Bong, who has worked in the management field with Kim Kwang Soo for the past 10 years.

Core Contents Media’s Kim Kwang Soo stated, “I will remain as SPEED’s music producer and give them my help.”

Co-Ed‘s male sub-unit, SPEED, has finally made their debut with two music videos for ”Lovey Dovey Plus“.

Co-Ed, an idol group from Core Contents Media that’s comprised of both male and female members, had debuted their female sub-unit ‘5dolls‘ earlier last year — now its time for their male counterparts to stand in the spotlight.

The name ‘SPEED’ stands for the group’s determination to always run forward with undying energy. The group is made up of Taewoon, Jungwoo, Kwanghaeng, Sungmin, In Oh and new member Jongguk from ’Superstar K3‘.

As reported earlier, SPEED’s music videos feature cameos from twins Hwayoung (T-ara) andHyoyoung (Co-Ed). Dressed in crisp black suits, SPEED aims to show a more masculine twist for their remake of T-ara’s hit song”Lovey Dovey“.

Co-Ed will soon be debuting their male sub-unit, ‘SPEED‘, and to kick off their promotions, they’ve revealed this teaser image featuring T-ara‘s Hwayoung and Co-Ed’s Hyoyoung.

As reported earlier, the twins will be supporting SPEED’s debut by featuring in their music video for “Lovey Dovey Plus“, a twist on T-ara’s mega-hit “Lovey Dovey“. In their photo, the sisters channel the sleek look of Michael Jackson‘s “Billie Jean“, leading fans to wonder how “Lovey Dovey Plus” will differ from the cowbell-disco sounds of the original.

The boys will be releasing their single on February 9th, followed by the full music video on the 10th.

Taewoon

14 August:

On August 12th, Co-Ed’s Wisdom Taewoon started up his very own Twitter account, through which he gave some updates on his male sub-unit and a slew of new sel-cas!

He first greeted his fans by writing, “Hello everyone!!! I’m Taewoon.. I don’t know how to tweet well, please teach me how T_T….” He later added, “Thanks for taking an interest in me, everyone. I feel bad, if I had known earlier, I would’ve started tweeting more. I’ll upload a lot of pictures!!”

Core Contents Media previously reported that they would be promoting Co-Ed in male and female units. With 5dolls having already made their debut, that leaves the debut of the male unit.

Writing on the topic, Taewoon said, “I’ve become a bit lazy on working on our songs, even on writing the lyrics.. I can’t be like this, I must complete two new songs next week!”

He added, “Our male members are working hard to come out with some good news soon !! ^^ The exact debut date hasn’t been set yet, but please wait just a bit with patience ^^!”

Earlier, we reported that the male members of Co-Ed would be releasing a remake of T-ara‘s hit song, “Lovey Dovey“.

Twins Hyoyoung (from Co-Ed) and Hwayoung (from T-ara) will be working together for the first time by featuring in Co-Ed’s music video! On February 2nd, Core Contents Media revealed that they’ve been finalized for an appearance in the music video with a special feature on shuffle dancing.

Representatives stated, “Recently, Hyoyoung cut her hair short like Hwayoung so it’s gotten harder to tell them apart. We hope everyone will look forward to the twins’ collaborative performance.”

“Lovey Dovey Plus” will be released on February 9th through major online music sites.

Core Contents Media has announced a member change in one of its groups, Co-Ed.

To start, representatives revealed that ‘Superstar K3‘s Shin Jong Gook will be joining the group as its newest member.

The agency revealed that they decided to add Shin Jong Gook into the 11-member group, Co-Ed, after seeing his potential. He will be making his official debut with the other members of Co-Ed’s male unit in March. This 6-member unit will be comprised of Jong Gook, Kwang Heng, Yoosung, Taewoon, Noori, and Sungmin.

The CEO of Core Contents Media stated, “With the success of Co-Ed’s female sub-unit ‘5dolls‘ (Soomi, Hyoyoung, Chanmi, Eun Gyo, and Hyewon), we’ve decided to launch the male unit this time. We are planning to showcase Co-Ed’s male unit next March, and Shin Jong Gook will also be making his mark in the music industry through this unit as well.”

He also praised the newest member of Co-Ed with, “Shin Jong Gook is a guy with amazing vocal ability.”

Sadly, the announcement of a new member was conjoined with the statement that Kangho, one of the original members of the male unit, would be leaving the group. Core Contents Media explained that Kangho decided to leave in order to focus on acting.

Idol group Co-Ed celebrated their 200th day anniversary recently with a special cake from their fans.

Some of the members uploaded photos of the cake and tweeted:

Hyewon: “Thank you for celebrating the 200th day of Co-Ed! ^^ From now on, we will work even harder so please keep loving us~ The cake is so pretty haha”

Chanmi: “I heard today is the 200th day since Co-Ed’s debut!!! I forgot about it but I remembered because the fans reminded us. I was so surprised. The cake is so pretty! Thank you ^^ We will repay you with a more progressed image♥”

Eunkyo: “Ah Co-Ed’s 200th day!!! The cake looks so yummy haha I want to eat it fast. Thank you so much. We will keep being a hard-working Co-Ed!!!”

Yoosung: “The fans gifted us so many things because today is the 200th day [since debut]. I was really happy to see the fans I’ve known since my trainee days. You guys gave me presents too.. Thank you. We will do well this year too. Thank you again.”
