B2ST

2 Juni:

We already knew that B2ST was off to a rockin’ start when they made their comeback with “Fiction and Fact“. In fact, the boys have done so well that they’ve landed themselves first place in Hanteo’s monthly album chart!
Since the album was released on the 17th, it could only enjoy rankings for two weeks in the month of May. Despite that, however, B2ST still managed to rank on top for the monthly chart from music sales analyst site, Hanteo.
Considering how “Fiction and Fact” is essentially the culmination of everything they’ve worked for since their debut, the achievement is definitely more meaningful for the boys. In addition to their title track, their ballad single – “Rainy Days” – is also attracting formidable achievements in itself, demonstrating the boys’ magic touch.
Congratulations, B2ST!

The members of B2ST have enjoyed a string of successes with their ”Fiction” comeback, but thanks to the equal popularity of their ballad track, “Rainy Days“, the boys have found themselves in an unusual predicament.
Main vocalist Yoseob commented, “We weren’t sure how people would react to ‘Rainy Days’ when we decided to release it first. It ended up getting a lot more popularity than our actual title track, ‘Fiction’. The members and I began to wonder whether we chose the wrong title track.”
He continued, “We’re grateful that people are taking an interest in our album. We’ve always worked hard for our albums, but especially more for this one since it’s our first full-length work. We definitely wanted to live up to the expectations of our fans.”
Concluding with his thoughts on their comeback, Yoseob said, “I’m glad that it’s finally out. I feel like every album leading up to this point were just preparations for “Fiction and Fact”. We promise to work hard in order to show a better image of ourselves.”

27 Mei:

It’s only been a week since B2ST made their official comeback with their first full album, “Fiction And Fact“, and the boys were pleasantly taken aback when they were awarded first place on this week’sKBS’s Music Bank K-Chart for their ballad song, “On Rainy Days“, rather than for their actively promoted title track, “Fiction“.
“On Rainy Days” was released a few days before the official release of their album, and it quickly became an instant hit on various music charts, as many listeners acknowledged the group’s vocal ability powering the song’s soothing, addictive melody.
After their K-Chart win this week, B2ST expressed to allkpop through Cube Entertainment, “We were extremely happy after our win with ‘Fiction’ yesterday, but this win is a lot more meaningful as it’s the first time we’ve won an award for a song that’s not our title track. To think we received first for two of our songs in just a week, all we can say is how thankful we are. We will thrive to work even harder.”
Congratulations to B2ST on their win!

On May 22nd, B2ST held a surprise fan meet with 1,500 of their fans after concluding their comeback performance on SBS’s “Inkigayo“!
Fans were already gathering to support B2ST’s “Fiction” comeback, and by the end of the morning, over 1,200 fans had shown up. With the numbers accumulating over the course of the day, B2ST surprised fans with a variety of fan service events, such as on-the-spot live performances of their album tracks, hugs, and present deliveries.
Member Jang Hyun Seung especially brought fans into a frenzy when he performed a sexy dance without any music.  B2ST commented, “We were so surprised to see the fans gathering so early in the morning. This is the first time so many came to support us at our music program since our debut. We ask that you continue to give us your love, as we will be working harder than ever.”
Leader Doojoon left the scene earlier than the rest of his members due to his “All My Love” commitments. “I’m sorry that I am not able to stay until the end for our fan meeting. Thank you so much for waiting for us; I am really touched.”

After exciting fans with the release of their album and music video earlier this week, B2ST will finally be holding their first comeback stage on today’s episode of Mnet’s “M! Countdown“!
They’ve already headlined countless times for their MV’s dramatic storyline, which surprised many with its level of depth and emotions. In addition, their new chorus dance move is also catching the attention of music fans everywhere.
Many are now anticipating how all of this will come together on one stage, but if there’s one thing we’re all sure of, it’s that it’ll be nothing short of impressive. Netizens have been hyping the comeback by leaving comments like, “Their dance is so unique; they’re only moving their feet and I can already feel the energy” and “I tried following their dance and it definitely wasn’t easy.”

B2ST wants you to give their dance move a name for their song “Fiction”!

After releasing their album on May 17th, B2ST has been ranking #1 on various online music charts.
Along with that, B2ST has another happy dilemma. In a portion of their music video, there is a part when B2ST has a dramatic and powerful dance move. Fans, after deciding that it was the highlight part of the video, were suggesting various names for the dance on various message boards.
On May 18th, Cube Entertainment made an official statement about the name of the dance move, “The company has made a name for that dance but after seeing the various suggestions that the fans have sent us, we decided that the name will be decided by the fans.”
They explained, “By writing your suggestions on B2ST’s official homepage, fan page, or the member’s personal Twitters, we will pick the best and most popular name for this dance”.
Pretty cool treat for the fans, make sure to pitch in your ideas!

7 Mei:

On May 17th, B2ST finally unveiled their long-awaited music video for their “Fiction“ comeback.  This five-minute long, high-quality music video is already being deemed as a ‘music drama’ amongst music fans on YouTube and Gom TV.
The music video features dramatic scenes that intertwine with cuts of choreography. Aligning with the song’s heartbreaking lyrics, the video sees rapper Junhyung unwilling to accept that the woman he loves (Park Bo Young) has left him. He begins to write a fictional story in his head to continue his romance with her, as exemplified by the scenes weaving in and out of his imagination, contrasting starkly with his reality.
In response to the tremendous attention their comeback is garnering, leader Doojoon tweeted, “We’re all determined to go at this as if we’re all starting anew. This is our first album. We’ll be dancing and singing like this is our first time ever. I bow my head and ask you to please support us.”
Eight out of the 10 tracks included in “Fact and Fiction” are currently competing against each other amongst the ‘Top 10′ in music charts. Meanwhile, their first release, “Rainy Days“, is also still going strong.

Although the title maybe “Fiction,” the fact of the matter is that both the track and MV are awesome.

When the album was revealed, MnetSoribadaCyworldDosirak and many other music charts all had “Fiction” on its ranking. It is currently #1 on three different music charts.
Furthermore, B2ST has also sold many physical copies of the album, apart from the downloads through those music charts. Indeed, “Fiction and Fact” has been successfully selling copies since its pre-sale date; netizens and fans alike have been impressed by this new album, which shows off the members’ strong colors and melodic charms.

B2ST has just released a teaser for their first full-length album, ‘Fiction‘.
Instead of the usual short teaser, the idol group switched things up by making it an ‘intro movie’.
With the structure reminiscent of a real movie, actress Park Bo Young acted alongside the boys in the intro movie for the track, ‘Fact‘.

B2ST made a surprise move earlier today by releasing a track from their comeback album, “Fiction and Fact“, and Cube Entertainment just relayed to allkpop moments ago that the track “Rainy Days” has been receiving an explosive response ever since.
Credit for the song’s booming success is going to its ability to touch all of the right emotions as rain continues to fall all over Korea.
The song hasn’t had any promotions before or after its release, and the release itself was done in a very discrete, guerrilla-like manner. Members dropped subtle hints to their fans about the song’s impending release, such as Junhyung’s tweet on May 11th, which read, “What kind of song is perfect to listen to on days that rain?”
Fans immediately sensed that something was up and later met with a pleasant surprise when the song was revealed. As if indirectly responding to Junhyung’s question, the song immediately ranked at the top of the charts.
Yoseob tweeted in response, “I’m bursting with energy thanks to all of the love the song is receiving. I’m rehearsing hard because of it.” Kikwang added, “We’ve worked hard preparing for it, so I hope a lot of people listen to the song.”
-
The song is not only a perfect fit for the rainy season, but it also features subtle details like the coughing of rapper Junhyung and the light tapping of the rain. Those intricate details help pull it all together, making the track into one stunning emotional ballad.
Fans commented, “If just one of the songs is this good, how good must the title track be?”, “It has B2ST’s characteristic color, it fits so well with them”, and “The melody is addictive, I listen to it even when it’s not raining.”
-
B2ST is kicking off their comeback with a strong start, as they already rank first in pre-orders just a day after orders were opened.
Cube Entertainment has also revealed to allkpop that the boys will be releasing a teaser video on May 13th, followed by the album’s official release on the 17th.

Cube Entertainment shared some exclusive info with allkpop about idol group B2ST’s first full-length album, “Fiction and Fact“!

It’s an album that fans have long been waiting for, and judging by the track list descriptions, it’s shaping up to be a formidable piece of work.
The album’s intro track, “The Fact“, is meant to fit in with their title track, “Fiction“. The intro song alone is meant to give fans a taste of B2ST’s deep sensitivity. The break-up that they didn’t want to acknowledge in “The Fact” is seamlessly continued in “Fiction”. “Fiction” is a track that breaks away from B2ST’s usual strong sound, and its charms lie in its piano melody and lyrics. The song tells of a love that they want to cling to, even if by writing a novel. The depth of this song’s emotions are further explored in the orchestrated version of “Fiction”, which is also included in the album.
Meanwhile, the song “Back to You” is expected to be a huge hit amongst fans, thanks to its addictive musical structure. “Though I Call” is a pop ballad that’s further enhanced by the members’ voices.
Drawing back to an emotive performance, fans are sure to swoon over “On Rainy Days“, which was recorded on an actual rainy day in order to further accentuate that delicate sorrow. “You” steps away from the sad atmosphere by delivering a song overflowing with the joys of love. To bump it up a notch, “Virus” mixes electronic dubstep and R&B qualities, giving listeners a unique variety of music styles.
Fans will be interested to know that “Freeze” was a song written, composed, and arranged by member Junhyung. Junhyung wrote this with B2ST’s fanbase in mind, and decided to present it to them as a musical gift. Speaking of musical gifts, an unplugged version of their previously released “Lightless” has also been included in this album.
-
Cube tells allkpop that pre-orders for B2ST’s album became available on all online music sites starting May 11th, and that the album will drop in full on May 17th.
Each of B2ST’s Korean album releases have claimed #1 spots on many music sales charts in the past, which allowed B2ST to be considered as a strong force in the industry. Therefore, their full-length album is receiving high expectations for its album sales figure.
We definitely have no doubt that the boys will wreck the charts with this new album, and that’s just from a description of tracks alone.

A few days back, B2ST held their first fanclub inauguration/fan meeting for their official fanclub, ‘B2UTY‘, at the Hwajung Gymnasium in Seoul. Sports Korea went behind-the-scenes and recently released their photos of the boys celebrating the event.

Doojoon started off by stating, “It’s been well over a year since our debut, but it’s only today that we’re opening our inauguration. For that, we’d like to apologize to our fans.  I hope everyone has fun today.”
Hosted by gagwoman Kim Shin Young, B2ST celebrated the occasion with 5,000 special fans and performed numerous hit tracks like “Shock”, “Special”, “I Like You the Best”, “Oasis”, “V.I.U.“, and “Beautiful“.
The boys also hosted a special corner called ‘Ask B2ST’, in which the members answered select questions from their fans. When asked to choose the most ‘mom-like’ member (a.k.a the one who nagged the most), they all chose Junhyung. When asked to choose the member who ate the most, maknae Dongwoon was chosen.

As it is a rather late inauguration compared to the level of their popularity, the boys made sure to fill it to the brim with exciting events. After opening with “Shock,” MC Kim Shin Young created a special ‘memory making’ corner that allowed the boys to communicate directly with the fans before moving on to perform “Soom,” “Special,” “I Like You the Best,” “Oasis,” and “V.I.U.”
Ahead of the event, B2ST stated, “We’re apologetic about holding an inauguration over a year since we’ve debuted. But it’s better late than never, and we’re all glad that we can see everybody now.” With a 90-degree bow, the boys concluded, “Thank you so much to everyone who has loved and supported us.”

15 Maret: After holding an emergency meeting with Cube Entertainment on March 14th, Universal Japan has announced through their official homepage that B2ST will be debuting in Japan as scheduled, but all performances will be canceled for the time being.

On March 15th, representatives of Cube revealed, “We expected the album release to be canceled, but after a meeting with Universal Japan on the 14th, we decided that it’d be difficult for the album release to be postponed any further. Japan usually releases the albums onto the market a few days before the official release date, and B2ST’s albums were already in stores by the 11th, so we could not cancel it.”
They continued, “We can’t do anything about the release, but all performances scheduled, such as the first stage of ‘Shock‘ this weekend at the Universal Japan Studios, has been canceled.”
Other entertainment agencies are also finding difficulties in canceling pre-scheduled promotions and releases. One representative stated, “After talking with our Japanese agencies, we’re having trouble canceling most of the schedules right now.”

On February 19th, the members of B2ST guested on KBS 2TV’s “Entertainment Relay“, and were interviewed about both their pre-debut and post-debut experiences.
When asked by the reporter on how they came up with their name, Yoseob replied, “Before our debut, a foreign dance instructor came to visit and saw us dance. At the time, he exclaimed, ‘So~ Beast!’ The meaning of the word means that it’s ‘cool’ or ‘amazing.’”
“Do you remember October 16th, 2009?” the reporter asked. Junhyung said, “Yes, we were all very nervous. We had rehearsed so much that our conditions weren’t the best. Yoseob was really upset about going off key a tiny bit, but to our ears, we couldn’t tell.”
Yoseob added, “Yes, I cried a lot…”
Kikwang continued, “To me, it was an opportunity for me to do better.”he members are also known for their rich experiences prior to forming B2ST; Doojoon was with JYP Entertainment’s “Hot Blood“, Junhyung was part of boy band XING, Kikwang had a solo career as AJ, and Hyunseung was with Big Bang.
Unfortunately, their old nickname – ‘recycled group’ – surfaced during the interview. Doojoon reflected, “I was really mad, but… It’s the truth, what can I say? To me, the word ‘recycle’ didn’t make me feel that bad.”
Dongwoon continued, “Because either way, we were recycled and are now B2ST.. but we were most worried about our fans being hurt by it.
A year later, they overcame all obstacles and took home their first music program win. They exclaimed, “We cried a lot, more than you could imagine. There was a nice weight to the trophy..”
When asked to pick a member who ‘improved’ the most looks-wise, Kikwang chose himself and explained, “I used to live in Yongsanpo… but living in Seoul now, I really do think I’ve improved in my looks.”

For nearly three hours, the members of B2ST worked the crowd to a frenzy by performing their hit tracks, “Shock,” “Special,” “Bad Girl,” “Please Take Care of My Girlfriend,” and “Breakdown,” as well as an upgraded version of their unit performances.
All videos used in their first concert held last year were set aside for all new footage along with a live band that helped liven the experience for their fans.
The promised ‘ab parade’ that has been a topic of hot interest ever since it was announced through Kikwang’s teaser, began with a video parody of “Secret Garden,” where the members were shown doing sit ups during training for the special moment.  Kikwang and Hyunseung also re-created the famous ’sit-up scene’ between Ha Ji Won and Hyun Bin, which brought out an explosive reaction from the audience.
Although they revealed that it was “difficult to make abs appear out of no where within three months,” the members all showed off chocolate abs as promised.Fans received a first viewing of G.NA’s new ballad track, “Please Stop Being Mad,” along with “BLACK & WHITE” for her special guest performance.  Supreme Team’s Simon D and F.T. On February 18th, B2ST held a press conference prior to their “Welcome Back to B2ST Airline” concert and stated, “We’ve prepared the ‘Ab Wave’ that we promised to show last year during our independent concert.”

One is the ‘Ab Wave’ that Ki Kwang promised to the fans last year, as well as the never-before-seen music video for ‘I Like You The Most’. We’re more nervous for the ‘Ab Wave’ than for the music video. We hope for your anticipation.”Lee Ki Kwang added, “I’ve been exercising a lot ever since I promised to show the ‘Ab Wave’, but I started to get muscular pain in my waist because I was exercising too much.
