According to his agency, So Ji Sub’s very own magazine titled ‘SONICe‘ will be published March 14th.
‘SONICe’ is drawing major interest as it is the first magazine devoted wholly to one single celebrity.
There have been a few instances of this happening in Japan, but this is being attempted for the first time in Korea with actor So Ji Sub.
His agency explained that ‘SONICe’, or “so nice”, was created by adding an “e” to the end of “sonic”, So Ji Sub’s nickname.
“We expect ‘SONICe’ tobecome another term to refer to So Ji Sub, just like the term ‘So-Gan-Ji’ was coined to refer to the actor,” his agency stated.
‘SONICe’ will be a photo book in which the actor will share different stories, recommend his favorite date spots, cuisines, books, and more.
The concept for the pictorials of ‘SONICe’ is “his eyes”, and So Ji Sub will be expressing different themes such as greed, arrogance, envy, rage, sensual appetite, and indolence with his eyes alone.

A charity rummage sale was held in Seoul on February 4th and was hosted by So Ji Sub’s official fan cafe in conjunction with the Korean Disabled People’s Foundation.
So Ji Sub donated 170 of his personal possessions at the event, and the members of his fan cafe were present as well as 100 of his fans from overseas.
“We are happy to help offer some warm help to the disabled people with the help of So Ji Sub’s fans through this rummage sale,” the participants remarked. “We hope that we will be able to continue to do things like these in bigger ways in the future.”
In related news, So Ji Sub wrapped up promotions for his movie ‘Only You‘ and is currently taking some time off.

Photos of the star sleeping, with his legs stretched, on the powder room couch have surfaced on the web. There are also photos of him taking any chance he can get away from the camera, to catch a few minutes Z’s.
The actor frequently sacrifices his nightly rest, saving time to focus more on his role as ‘Chulmin‘ in his drama ‘Only You‘. He makes up for it by taking short power naps throughout the day. The photos only further revealed his ambitious nature and passion for his work.
The actor who is already known to be extremely carefree and easy-going now seems even more down-to-earth and low maintenance, making him even more appealing to his fans.
Fans were unsettled after seeing him have to sleep on the couch, but they admitted he did it with style. In regards to the napping photos, they remarked, “The couch looks so short“, “He looks stylish sleeping in his jacket!“, etc.

According to So Ji Sub’s agency, the actor will open up the ‘To Some Place by 51K‘ coffee shop on July 22nd in Seoul. The coffee shop was reportedly So Ji Sub’s very own idea, and it’s receiving quite a lot of attention for his direct participation in its planning stages. In addition, his coffee shop will reportedly have some unique items on its menu that So Ji Sub himself had developed.
Following the traditions of launching a new business, ‘To Some Place by 51K’ will hold a colorful event to celebrate their opening. In the spirit of his company’s name, 51K, the coffee shop will hold various events throughout the day, at 51 minutes after the hour. For example, they may hand out free drink samples at 1:51 PM. Whatever the event may be, they plan to bring happiness to their customers through this.
While a free drink sample may sound good, the actor himself is scheduled to make an appearance at one of the events during the day. And if that weren’t exciting enough, he’ll also personally brew up an espresso for five lucky customers as well!
In addition to the opening festivities on-site, So Ji Sub also held a pre-opening event on his company’s official homepage. Through the website, participants had the opportunity to win special So Ji Sub mugs, aprons, and T-shirts. 51 random participants will be selected and will receive the prize package directly from the actor on the day his store opens.
With such a fun opening event planned, we’re sure that even coffee haters would turn up in a heartbeat!

After deciding to tackle something new and fun, So Ji Sub has finally unveiled his full music video for his debut hip hop track, “Pick Up Line“!
His transformation into an ‘homme fatale’ has brought in an incredible amount of interest, as his name is currently dominating portal search engines and his teasers made instant headlines.
The actor himself commented, “I wanted to show myself as who I really am, not someone trapped in what the public imagines me to be. This is not an attempt to create headlines, but an attempt to enjoy something I truly love with the public.”
Meanwhile, So Ji Sub is due to play the role of a rough but innocent boxer in director Song Il Gon’s upcoming movie, “Only You.”

Unlike the ‘comedy version’ released earlier on the 10th, So Ji Sub’s second teaser shows off his 180 degree change into a ’sexy hip hop rapper’. His leopard print suit and stylish aviators give off an air of urban sophistication, while at the same time, succeeding to lighten the star’s ’serious’ image.
Through his agency, 51k, So Ji Sub commented, “Instead of expecting comments like ‘he’s cool’ and ‘that’s refreshing,’ I’d rather people think ‘he’s a unique guy.’ I hope people view this with the thought that I’m trying something different from everyone else. Like my previous photo essay, I want this album to feature every part of me as I am.”

So Ji Sub recently revealed a hilarious MV teaser for his new song, “Pick Up Line“, and many have been wondering if the actor planned to perform it on music programs.
Unfortunately, his agency revealed that he has no plans of promoting the single through TV performances.
“Pick Me Up” will mark his third musical endeavour, as the actor previously released ”Lonely Life” (an OST track from his movie “Rough Cut“) and “Foolish Love” (from the OST of his drama “Cain and Abel“).
Both the MV and the single will be released on February 17th.

10 Februari: So Ji Sub’s hip hop debut has been creating quite the buzz amongst his fans, as they viewed the MV teaser for his digital single, “Pick Up Line“!
So Ji Sub is normally associated with the image of a ‘composed gentleman’, so to hear him rap and have fun warmed up his ‘cool’ appeal. The actor helped write and compose the song, and his close friends, Jung Jun Ha and Kim Byung Man, joined in to add a comedic effect to the teaser.

So Ji Sub akan bermain dalam film, “Only You“. Dengan Direktur Song Il Gon dan PD HB Entertainment, ”Only You” merupakan kisah cinta romantis dari seorang mantan petinju (So Ji Sub) yang jatuh cinta dengan seorang wanita buta.
Saat full casting selesai disusun, produksi akan memulai syuting bulan Maret.
Film So Ji Sub sebelumnya merupakan film komedi romantis tahun 2009, “Sophie’s Revenge“, yang juga dibintangi oleh Ziyi Zhang.
