With just two more stops to go in their two month-long world tour, JYJ recently sat down with Star Today to reflect on their tour thus far.
Jaejoong, who’s also the director for their Asian tour, began, “I aimed to create a stage that allowed artists to express their full potential. I paid special attention to understanding the culture of every city we were performing in and to converse more directly with our fans there. It was extremely heartwarming to see my thoughts come alive at every concert through our fans, and it’s definitely a thrilling experience. I’m thankful for everyone who came to see us.”
Junsu continued, “Bravo! I love it when the crowd shouts that. We’re with the best choreography teams for our American stops. They’ve worked with stars like Beyonce and Christina Aguilera, so the happiest moment for me is when they gave us a thumbs up and when staff members praised our live’s harmony. Because our staff members have worked with world pop stars, I do weigh their opinions more heavily. I’m glad that they feel our potential.”
Yoochun added, “The more time passes, the stronger we’re getting. I can feel that we’re growing and moving towards a better direction. With every new concert that we complete, things start to come together and the level of perfection gets higher. This world tour makes my heart swell with pride.”
Jaejoong finally concluded, “The tracks that we composed for our world tour are receiving a lot of love, which makes me proud. We hope to grow as artists that continue to make great tracks under the name of JYJ, and hope to meet more fans across the globe.”
JYJ will be concluding their American tour in San Jose on June 3rd before concluding the tour altogether in Busan on the 11th and 12th.
After hitting up the East Coast last week, JYJ headed for the West Coast to thrill the crowd in the next stop of their epic “2011 World Tour“!
On May 27th, fans in Los Angeles were treated to a two-hour long concert filled with sexy performances by JYJ’s Junsu, Jaejoong, and Yoochun at the NOKIA Theatre.
Check out allkpop’s exclusive coverage of the hot event below!
===
Anticipation crackled in the air as we waited outside of the NOKIA Theatre. Long before the doors opened, fans gathered in front to pass out red glowsticks and posters in a joint effort to support JYJ to the fullest extent possible.
Once fans entered the building, they were greeted by an undisclosed dance practice video of “Be My Girl (Remix)“. In the video, JYJ’s dancers demonstrated the simple dance steps to the song, allowing fans in the audience to learn the dance in time for the concert’s opening.
The lights dimmed, and the stadium immediately transformed into an ocean of red. JYJ had fans screaming as they opened the concert with engaging performances of “Empty“, “I.D.S“, and “Nine“, after which Yoochun greeted the audience by yelling, “What up L.A.? Welcome to the JYJ concert in Los Angeles!“. Junsu then shouted, “How are you doing tonight?! Let’s have a good time together!“, and Jaejoong piped in, “Hope you enjoy the show!”
“Pierrot” was next on the list as JYJ was joined by a company of female dancers dressed in tutus with white masks and white gloves. JYJ then drew closer to their fans as they sang “Be My Girl” at the respective ends of the stage.
After a brief video from the set of their “The Beginning” album jacket photoshoot, JYJ returned to the stage with “Be The One“, dressed in Michael Jackson-inspired chain adorned black suits and white gloves. Soon after, they presented “Ayyy Girl“, which marked the first of many scandalous performances with their female dancers.
Yoochun was the first to show a solo performance as he sang “I Love You“, and though fans didn’t seem to mind when he sang to the girls in the clear enclosures, fans screamed in jealousy whenever he began to dance with the other female dancers. Perhaps luckily for the dancers, they all wore masks that concealed their identity from the raging fans! After Yoochun’s sensual performance, ninjas dressed in sequined trench coats took the stage as JYJ performed “Mission“.
Following a slideshow of pictures from their tour, Junsu presented his solo track, “I Can Soar“, which was followed by Jaejoong’s solo performance of “Still in Love“. Throughout the show, it seemed as though Jaejoong was the one member who most enjoyed the incorporation of more female dancers, and while Jaejoong’s solo stage was oozing with sexiness, his fans didn’t seem too happy with his many close “encounters”.
The mood brightened considerably when JYJ came together once again to perform their hit track fromthe “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” OST, “Found You“, which was followed by “Fallen Leaves“. JYJ went on to sing one of their new songs, “Boy’s Letter“, which was a unique experience to see them perform live.
As the three members showed off their great vocal talent, fans grew silent as they stood in awe of JYJ, but that shock was short-lived as fans jumped and danced along as JYJ closed out the show with “Be My Girl (Remix)” and “You’re” (there was also a brief return of Jaejoong’s standing hair).
Once JYJ exited the stage, the audience began to chant “JYJ“, demanding an encore performance. Right when it seemed like their wishes were not going to be granted, JYJ reappeared donning casual JYJ t-shirts and jeans. They brought the concert full circle when they performed their “Get Out” and “Empty” tracks, during which they bowed to the audience with all of their dancers. However, their fans were still left unsatisfied, as they called for yet another encore performance! JYJ kindly returned to the stage to perform one last song for everybody, “In Heaven“, during which Junsu, Jaejoong, and Yoochun sang their hearts out, as they gave it their all by singing a sad love song about not wanting their lover to leave.
-
After all the lights, pyro effects, stage fireworks, and confetti, the concert had finally come to an end, but Yoochun assured fans, “We’ll come again next year… We’ll always love you guys“, as they left the stage saying their thank yous, arigatos, and xie xies.
Though the concert had ended, fans were reluctant to leave, as they lingered within and outside the theater in hopes of taking in every last moment of their memorable experience.

With only one stop remaining on the North American leg of their “2011 World Tour”, JYJ will next be heading to San Jose for their June 3rd concert, so be sure to get there if you can, because it’s sure to be an extraordinary show!

JYJ’s world tour is shining brilliantly for its global success, and its just added yet another triumph onto its belt – the tickets for their final stop in Busan reportedly sold out within 15 minutes!
Tickets for all 20,000 seats for the two-day concert went on sale May 27th through Interpark, and within 15 minutes, representatives were left stunned as they witnessed a perfect clear-out.
Interpark stated, “Even before tickets went on sale, we received an explosive amount of questions. Exactly 15 minutes after tickets went on sale at 8 PM, all 20,000 seats were sold out. We feel that this was only possible because they are JYJ.”
CEO Baek Chang Joo of CJES Entertainment commented, “We’re grateful for the attention that JYJ’s Busan stops are receiving. Through this opportunity, we felt the support of JYJ’s fans. We are definitely considering adding additional concert dates for fans who weren’t able to make it. Please look forward to an awesome concert.”
The boys’ Busan concerts will be the cooperative work of tour director Kim Jaejoong and American tour director Jeri Slaughter.
17 Mei:
JYJ would be heading to Los Angeles this week to begin prepartions for the North American leg of their ‘2011 World Tour‘. On May 16, JYJ’s Jaejoong and Junsu held a press conference to answer questions regarding their upcoming tour. Unfortunately, Yoochun was not able to attend due to his prior engagements in Korea.
The press conference was held at the Clive Davis Theater at the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles. Initially, there was an awkward tension in the air because of how there were only two chairs on stage. It was immediately broken by Jaejoong’s entrance as he greeted the press with a casual “Hi” before stepping onto the stage with Junsu. Hilariously, Jaejoong noted that the chair was a bit too high for him, and caused a chuckle to reverberate through the room.
The press conference took on a more official air when C.S. Hah, the founder of Powerhouse Entertainment, brought about the first question of the day.
< Tell us about the upcoming tour and how you feel about it >
Junsu: We have been given the opportunity to have a concert tour in America. Though we’ve performed in the States on previous occasions, this is our first time headlining our own tour. Because it’s also the first time we are touring a variety of locations (including Vancouver, New Jersey, San Jose, and Los Angeles), I am that much more nervous and hold higher expectations.
Since it’s our first concert that we are headlining with our own name, we’ve prepared a lot. Please anticipate it.
Jaejoong: I feel great to have the opportunity to hold concerts in America and Canada. Because it’s a concert that came after our Asian tour, we are much more at ease. However, the anticipation of meeting new fans makes me both nervous and excited. We will work hard, so please enjoy our upcoming performances.
< Will there be anything special for your American fans in this upcoming tour? >
Jaejoong: We have prepared several performances that we have never done before for this American tour. And I don’t know if our fans will like this, but we have increased the number of our female dancers. Therefore, we hope to show more sexy performances.
Junsu: We will continue with the basic format of our Asian tour, but our dancers are residents of the States, and so we’ve prepared many new performances for this particular leg of the tour. And as Jaejoong mentioned, our dancers have always been mostly (if not all) male. This time, 6 of our 10 dancers are female and so there may be performances befitting of those changes.
We are also making the effort to sing more English songs. I think considering all those things, the feeling of the concerts will be different. Although we’ve experienced an American showcase tour in the past, there are many aspects that we are not as familiar with in comparison to our Asian concerts. I think it will be key for us to be attentive of our American fans’ responses so that we could create concerts that fit more naturally for them.
< Jaejoong, what are your thoughts on having been the concert director of the Asian tour concerts, and do you plan on directing the North American tour as well? >
Jaejoong: I was able to serve as the concert director for our Asian tour. It was a new challenge that made me feel excited, curious, and inspired to take on bigger concerts. As for the American leg of this tour, Jeri Slaughter (who directed our first JYJ Korean concert) will be directing the concerts. Changes are being made to our Asian tour stage for the American stops. I myself will be working with Jeri Slaughter to direct the concerts.
< Were there any difficulties in preparing for this tour while continuing with your solo activities (ie., musicals and dramas)? >
Junsu: There were no difficulties because most of what we have done so far were group performances and activities. Really, we’re not used to having personal solo activities.
Since group activities are something we have always done, and because we recently finished our Asian tour, there were no hardships with regards to that.
< Will there be a DVD release for this concert? >
Jaejoong: It is currently in production but no date has been set yet.
< Will Rodney Jerkins or Kanye West be featured during this upcoming tour? >
Jaejoong: They will not be.
< Any plans for a China tour? >
Junsu: Nothing has been planned as of yet. We have always thought of having a tour in China. If the opportunity comes, we hope to have a concert solely within China.
< Were there any difficulties singing in English for your global album? >
Jaejoong: Aside from our member Yoochun, the rest of the members had a lot of difficulties due to English. We tried really hard for the recording of the songs, and will continue to try to learn more English.
< You have met many fans of different nationalities through your Asian tour and previous U.S. Showcase tour. Do fans of different countries have characteristics unique to their countries? >
Jaejoong: Each country seems to have unique characteristics. For instance, American fans seem to be very free. From the way they (American fans) listen to music to the way they enjoy performances, like waving their hands, I think we in turn are able to be more free in our performances. On the other hand, Thai fans are very conscious about their manners, and so we seem to be more conservative in our behavior as well. I think we try to adapt to the different qualities of fans from each country.
< There are many ahjumma fans who are advertising in support of JYJ. How do you feel about having middle-aged female fans? >
Jaejoong: It feels great. It’s always better to be loved than to be hated. It’s great to know that we have fans of all ages. I never refer to ahjumma fans as ahjummas, but rather I call them ‘nunas‘. It seems that some even come to our concerts to hear us calling them ‘nuna‘.
< Many fans are disappointed because they are unable to meet you guys through broadcast performances, or even through mediums such as pictorials. Is their any particular reason for JYJ not being featured in magazines and other printed materials? >
Junsu: It’s not that we are not doing them intentionally. It is true that besides our concerts, JYJ hasn’t had many pictorials for magazines because of our personal schedules. If we are given the opportunity to be in magazines, we will take the opportunity. It is not that we were avoiding them, but rather an outcome of circumstances.
<What do you do between flights to look fresh after such a long journey? >
Jaejoong: Honestly, we don’t do maintenance. (laughs)
Junsu: We are not fresh. Yesterday, we didn’t have any specific schedules so we took the day off and rested in the hotel together.
< Airport fashion is a big issue lately. On some internet cafes, people have claimed that Junsu got fashion advice from Jaejoong. Does the strong focus on airport fashion give you any pressure? >
Junsu: I originally didn’t have any interest in the matter because I only wore clothes that were comfortable to me. But since there are high expectations, it only seems right for us to look into fashion to try to dress well. At some point when I began to dress better, fans began to ask if I had taken Jaejoong’s clothes. Lately, it seems like fans are a bit disappointed to see me dress well at the airports. Photos of my poorly dressed days seem to spread more. I just enjoy it.

The boys quickly wrapped up the press conference due to their strict schedules. The press immediately began to pack up, but the room was abuzz with high expectations for the boys’ four-city U.S. tour. Judging by the warm affection JYJ holds for their fans, it certainly does sound like this tour will greatly exceed the success of their previous one.
JYJ will be heading to Vancouver, Canada later this week for the first stop of their North American tour on Friday, May 20th.

10 Mei:
JYJ has swept across the continent of Asia.
On May 7th, JYJ opened their ‘JYJ World Tour 2011‘ at the Capital Indoor Stadium in Beijing, China. On this day, members Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu performed songs off their worldwide album “The Beginning” along with their self-composed songs, moving the hearts of the 10,000+ attending fans.JYJ wrapped up the Asian portion of their world tour which started off in Thailand back in April. Through their 4 concerts, more than 43,000 fans attended and JYJ solidified their status as Asian stars. This was also Jaejoong’s debut as a Concert Director.
JYJ revealed,
“This world tour is a new challenge of ours, these stages are expressions of the stories we wanted to tell. We are glad that we were able to meet our Asian fans for the first time in a long time and show them a variety of music. We are thankful to our unchanging fans who sent us many cheers.“
JYJ will be heading to Los Angeles next week to begin preparing for their North American leg of the tour. They will be hitting 4 North American cities: Vancouver, Canada (20th), Newark, New Jersey (22nd), Los Angeles (27th), and San Jose (June 2nd).
3 Mei:On May 3rd, the members of JYJ were chosen as the honorary ambassadors for the international promotion of Jeju Island.
The island was recently nominated to be voted as one of the seven wonders of the world by New Seven Wonders. On behalf of the island, JYJ will be actively promoting internationally to raise awareness. The members were revealed to have been chosen for their influence and ability to attract and raise foreign votes for the island.
Depending on their world tour schedule, the boys will be attending an official appointment ceremony sometime soon.
Jeju Island has passed three rounds of preliminary judging since 2007, and has been named one of the 28 final nominations. Swiss’s N7W Foundation will be taking in text, phone, and internet votes until November 10th. Final results will be released on the 11th.
1 Mei:Male trio JYJ has taken legal actions against Avex, their management company in Japan with whom they’ve been having trouble with, for interfering with their charity concert.JYJ’s Korean management company, CJES Entertainment, has filed a lawsuit along with an official statement on their webpage, while Avex was quick to respond with an official statement as well.
What caused the problem?
To start off, Avex suspended their contract with JYJ last September. The group, while not legally allowed to perform in Japan without Avex’s permission, was planning on a charity concert to help the victims of recent Tohoku earthquake. However, Avex stepped in and pressured them to cancel the show, presumably arguing that it violated their no promoting rules.
CJES asked the Tokyo regional court for a provisional disposition regarding disruption of performance, meaning that they are asking the court to step in and stop Avex from cancelling the concert.
JYJ has expressed that they are determined to go ahead with the concert regardless of outside interventions.
Below is an official statement posted by CJES’s Mr. Baek Chang Joo on their Japanese webpage.
“We thank you for showing us your continued support last year with JYJ’s world ide album and promotion, despite the fact that our contract with Avex was suspended and we could not promote in Japan. When Japan was in sorrow after an earthquake hit eastern Japan, JYJ grieved with you as if we were a member of your family. We planned a charity concert in order to help Japan’s recovery and to show gratitude for your love.
Although we started out with a good intent, there have been external pressure against us, such as concert hall bookings being cancelled. We are sorry to worry our fans who have already purchased the tickets for the show and are waiting patiently.
While we thought about cancelling the concert as we might not be able to put on our best performance for our Japanese fans who have been waiting so long for JYJ’s performance, we have decided to keep the promise we made with our fans who waited in patience. We are pressing on.
We would like our Japanese fans to understand this concert, not just as a one time event, but as the starting signal for JYJ’s Japanese promotion. Our stage might be a bit lacking, but please have faith in our sincereness and continue showing us your support.
JYJ will not bend to such pressures in future and will visit wherever we can to perform for our Japanese fans. I too, will personally wage my everything, in order for JYJ to play their music and share their stories with our Japanese fans to thank for your support. Japanese fans of JYJ, please continue your support for us as you have done all along. We can, because there is faith.”
Avex quickly posted their side of the story on their official webpage, arguing,
“The charity concert was planned without the consent of our organization, which owns all rights to management of JYJ within Japan. We have reacted in fair and reasonable ways to this invasion of our rights… We have been receiving complaints from anti-social groups and members of our board have been receiving threats.”
An inside source familiar with the concert was quoted as saying,
Source: OSEN via Nate via allkpop 25 April:“Avex claims that they have the rights, but they suspended the contract one-sidedly. They continue making profits off of JYJ through DVD sales and such, but really, they’re stopping JYJ from performing in Japan. Contract with Avex was something completely unrelated to the one with SM Entertainment, and they’re interrupting JYJ’s promotion at the same time that JYJ is taking legal actions to void their contract with SM. I do not think this is fair.”
On April 23rd, JYJ successfully completed their “JYJ World Tour Concert 2011” at the Taipei Dome in Taiwan.
The trio worked a crowd of 10,000 fans for 120 minutes, delivering passionate performances of “Empty”, “Be My Girl”, “Be the One”, “Mission”, “Fallen Leaves”, “IDS”, and their two new tracks, “In Heaven”and “Get Out”.
Member Jaejoong continued the use of the cross-shaped stage set up, which was previously used for their Thailand tour, and made sure to interact with his fans as closely as possible by providing subtitles.
At the height of their encore track, “In Heaven”, the crowd shouted out, “JYJ, start again“, and thanked the boys for another successful concert.
Taiwan’s TVBS, ETTV, and other major media outlets extensively covered JYJ’s concert, paying special attention to the fact that Jaejoong directed the tour. They showed much interest in the tour’s theme of ‘Creative Challenge’, and stars such as John Shen expressed their excitement over attending the concert.
JYJ commented, “It was a joyous two hours that we spent with our Taiwanese fans. We were all very moved when they sang along with even our new songs, and it feels great knowing that the level of perfection has been raised through this concert. We’re looking forward to many more.”
CEO Baek Chang Ju of CJES Entertainment stated, “We were surprised with the explosive interest shown by Taiwanese representatives. I would like to send my applause to the infinite artist potential that the trio of JYJ holds.”
19 April:On April 18th, the members of JYJ were appointed as the honorary ambassadors for “World OKTA“.
In celebration of its 30th anniversary, the trio made an appearance at the ceremonial event which was held at the Sheraton Walker Hill Hotel. The boys were appointed as honorary ambassadors before a crowd of 1,000, including President Lee Myung Bak, before going on to put on a congratulatory performance.
A representative of World OKTA stated, “JYJ, who are global leaders of culture and the Hallyu wave, fit best with World OKTA, who also aims to open a Hallyu generation of economy all over the world.”
JYJ commented, “We’re glad to be chosen as honorary ambassadors for an organization that raises awareness for Korea and contributes to the economies of both Korea and the world. With World OKTA, JYJ hopes to spread awareness of Korean culture and aid in the effort of advancing globally.”

5 April:
On April 2nd and 3rd, JYJ finally kicked off their world tour in Bangkok, Thailand at the Impact Arena. The “JYJ World Tour Concert“ managed to bring in 22,000 fans, proving the group’s worth as Hallyu stars.
As it is JYJ’s first solo concert away from SM Entertainment and their brand as ‘TVXQ‘, industry representatives from both Korea and overseas kept close tabs on the event.
The members never forgot to thank their fans throughout their concert for not forgetting them, and for taking time out of their lives to attend their concert. Through an impressive laser show, the trio emerged on the stage with “Empty“, and went on to perform “IDS“, “Nine“, and “Pierrot.”
The Thailand fans were also the first to be able to hear the debut live performance of “Untitled Song Part 1“, a track from their latest best seller, “JYJ Music Essay“.
The members also revealed four tracks that they had written and composed, which included “Get Out“, “In Heaven“, “Boy’s Letter“, and “You Are“.
1. Boy’s Letter – lyrics by Jaejoong
2. You Are – lyrics by Junsu
3. Get Out – lyrics by Jaejoong & Yuchun; composition by Jaejoong
4. In Heaven – lyrics & composition by Jaejoong
Yoochun stated, “I feel proud that we’ve collected enough songs to hold a concert. As it is a world tour, we wanted to leave a stronger impression than that of our showcase last fall. As much as we are satisfied with the concert, it was also a time for us to turn back and reflect on what we lacked.”
Junsu added, “I’m thankful towards Jaejoong hyung for directing it. Even though we didn’t have much time to prepare, he really did his best and never once have I ever felt so comfortable at a concert.”
Junsu added, “I’m thankful towards Jaejoong hyung for directing it. Even though we didn’t have much time to prepare, he really did his best and never once have I ever felt so comfortable at a concert.”
Their world tour will go on to Taiwan on the 23rd and Beijing on May 7th; it’ll then migrate to four cities in North America , and end in Korea on June 11th and 12th.
3 April:CreBeau Cosmetics, the company that many believed to be at the center of the lawsuit between members of TVXQ, has announced they’ll be taking strong legal measures against fans who allegedly spread false rumors about the company.
CreBeau Corporation has charged some of these fans of spreading rumors on not only internet blogs but also various types of internet communities. Some of these rumors by the fans include that the company was a ponzi-scheme, that it manipulated stock prices in the millions of KRW, and that it used unverifiable and harmful substances in its products. For those fans who deleted their posts, the company withdrew pursuing charges against them. However, the others were faced with fines of over 2,000,000 KRW (approximately 2,000 USD) and are facing a civil lawsuit.
Furthermore, last year, the public prosecutor concluded that CreBeau was not responsible for the lawsuit between members of JYJ and SM Entertainment.
Despite this, however, some malicious fans are still writing false rumors on internet portals and communities. Additionally, they have translated them into English, Japanese, Chinese and other languages, and as a result, damaged CreBeau’s reputation not just in Korea, but in markets abroad.
An affiliate of the company said, “Up until now we have obtained sufficient evidence and the number of people (against whom we will take legal action) is significant. We have finished the legal review along with retaining an attorney. We cannot leave alone such acts and people such as– acts of writing/posting false rumors and have them spread around and not deleting them voluntarily; those people who posted false rumors drafted by others; acts of not deleting their own writings even though they have been spread by others; and acts of compulsively writing malicious replies; amongst others. On this legal action, we will have these people bear all responsibilities available under civil and criminal law.”
30 Maret:JYJ has canceled their Indonesia stop from their upcoming world tour.On the afternoon of March 28th, JYJ’s management agency, CJES Entertainment, wrote a message on their official homepage, stating, “On the 26th, we officially told our Indonesian promoters that we will be formally canceling the concert.”
They continued, “We warned the Indonesian promoters several times over because of their continued breach of contract. They did not fix their ways, and because we were unable to continue with our concert plans as smoothly as we had hoped, we have decided to go ahead and cancel the concert altogether.”
Their concert in Thailand, which is currently scheduled for the beginning of April, will go on as planned. CJES Entertainment recently changed promoters for their concert in Singapore, and is currently in discussion for relocations and additional revisions.

Not only will they be donating, but the boys will be setting out to raise awareness about the disaster through their world tour, which will kick off on April 2nd. On March 12th, JYJ completed their first official fan meeting with 7,000 fans. It marked their first meeting in four months since their concert last November.
With gagman Kim Bum Yong as the MC, the 3-hour long fan meeting featured a total of seven performances, which included Empty,” “Be My Girl,” “Found You,” “Mission,” and “Nine.”
Junsu stated, “I worried a lot over whether I would be able to attend our fan meeting today, but I’m glad that we were able to hold it safely. The situation with the earthquake in Japan is severe. We will be praying for the safety of our fans in Japan.”
Since the fan meeting was divided into two parts, the second half saw guest appearances from Shin Young Sook, Cool’s Kim Sung Soo, and Yoochun’s younger brother, Park Yoohwan.
Kim Sung Soo turned to praise Jaejoong by commenting, “I haven’t known Jaejoong for that long, but his soul is very pure.” Park Yoohwan continued the string of compliments by choosing Jaejoong when he was asked to name a member he’d like to resemble the most.
A special event was also held during the fan-meeting, in which 16 fan replies were chosen for a world cup competition; the members would narrow down their choice for the best message until they ended up with one. The fan reply that was ultimately chosen was, “I’m a fan that just believes and trusts.”
JYJ commented, “We’d like for our fans to always believe in us and wait. We’ll be working hard in order to repay that trust.”
During their performance of “Found You,” balloons were strewn over the concert hall and later popped to sprinkle marshmallow candies over the fans in celebration of the ‘White Day’ holiday. As it was a touching moment, JYJ and their fans cried together.
CJES Entertainment concluded, “Because of everyone who worried and gave their support, Kim Junsu was able to return safely and keep his promise to his fans. We hope that this fan meeting will forever remain as an unforgettable ‘White Day.’”

18 Februari:
On February 17th, the Seoul Central District Court dismissed both lawsuits filed by SM Entertainment against JYJ.
To recap, SM Entertainment filed an objection on October 27th, 2009, claiming that the Seoul Central District Court’s order to prevent them from interfering with JYJ’s individual activities was illegal.
The court rejected SM’s injunction objection application by stating, “The exclusive contract between SM and JYJ forces the celebrity to become subordinate to the agency without any discretion. JYJ has no option but to follow SM’s actions due to the subordinate rank they are forced under in the power of SM. A long-term subordinate contract cannot be justified by the risks the agency took in investments, as well as international advancements.”
They continued, ”Aside from the long-term contract terms, SM’s ability to supervise and direct every move made by JYJ, as well as the clause claiming that JYJ must repay for losses only emphasizes the subordinate positions of JYJ in the contract, so the injunction is invalid.”
Regarding the second injunction filed by SM Entertainment, asking the court to suspend JYJ’s contract with CJES Entertainment, the court replied by saying that the injunction is invalid since SM Entertainment was ordered on October 27th, 2009 that they were to not interfere with JYJ’s individual activities, and their injunction was in breach of that order.
Baek Chang Ju, CEO of CJES Entertainment, commented, “We consider it a victory of truth and hope that their activities are no longer hindered by forced accusations of double contracts. We will be working hard to show only the best side of JYJ to the public. I would like to thank the JYJ members and the staff for consistently battling a tiring fight against Goliath.”
In conclusion, the exclusive contract between SM and JYJ is invalid, and JYJ’s individual activities are legal.

Representatives of SM Entertainment stated in the aftermath of the ruling, “The legal battle between SM and JYJ is not yet over. This court decision is merely regarding a preliminary injunction, this does not mean that the exclusive contract between SM and JYJ is invalid. The original lawsuit is still ongoing, and the date of pleading will be sometime in mid-March. Through the original lawsuit, the truth will be investigated, and we will be working to make sure that their contracts are still valid.”

Album ini menampilkan 6 lagu yang ditulis sendiri dan composed, bersama dengan photobook yang memberikan unique glimpse dalam kehidupan day-to-day mereka.
JYJ menyatakan, “The tracks included in the essay have a lot more meaning to us since they’re created in Korean. It was a joyful production, as we were able to fill it with our honest thoughts. It contains what we’ve been wanting to say through music, and although all of the songs contain our story, this album is our genuine honesty towards our fans.”
CJES Entertainment menambahkan, “Although it’s disappointing that they haven’t been able to show off their songs to their fans through broadcast appearances, we’re glad that we were able to create better content for them instead. Since their schedules are not filled to the brim, they’re able to deliver better quality in their performances and music activities, which is why we’re satisfied with the album’s release.”

“When you need us, we’re family, but when we need you, we’re strangers.”
BerdasarkanKorean media outlet, Kuki News, liriknya menyatakan:
“After finally being met with jackpot success overseas and finding out that we had created unimaginable results, I headed to the company on the day of our pay with light steps. But on the statement of accounts that I received that day, the results were a minus. I thought maybe I read wrong and checked again, but everything was written as an expense. Damn, all that money was written off as expense. Exactly what kind of expense was it that all that money disappeared? I still can’t forget the higher representative’s words that told me that it would be difficult if I left the company. What the seniors said were right: Would you want to keep the ones that still willingly want to make money for you?“ “This is never our efforts as a product. The day I die as a human being. It’s an effort made because I don’t want to be left with regrets.”Album ini menempati ranking di ‘Top 5′ weekly best seller charts.

5 Januari:
Trio JYJ berpartisipasi dalam interview dengan TV Report. Mereka menerima 520,000 preorder untuk album pertama mereka, “The Beginning,” dan juga telah melaksanakan world tour. Trio ini juga menempati top five untuk chart Billboard “2010 Albums of the Year.”
“We’ve had a lot of promotions in 2010, but because they weren’t shown on broadcast programs or main portals, the public seems to be misunderstanding us. We really did spend a busy year, and although we had individual activities, we’ve also had an Asian tour and a U.S. showcase. There is a bit of disappointment in not being able to promote on broadcast shows. Being featured on Billboard, ranking in on the top five, and even working with top American producers… all of that didn’t create headlines. It’s disappointing that they’ve been recorded as just personal achievements by us.”
Dan mengenai hubungan mereka dengan TVXQ, mereka menyatakan, “We have tried contacting Yunho and Changmin, but we weren’t able to reach them. Everyone has their own personal agendas to tend to. We’re not just any old relationship that was together for a year or two. There aren’t any misunderstandings towards the two. Even though we’re apart, we trust that they know our genuine honesty.”
“We’ve already saw it a few times in other interviews, but we really do wish that they do well and show amazing sides of themselves. There is something upsetting about them coming out under the name of TVXQ, since we’re TVXQ too.”
Dengan topik melawan SM Entertainment, mereka menyatakan, “We’re handling everything as best as we can since they’re all things we expected once we decided to leave SM. It’s difficult, but we’re trusting it to resolve itself and thinking positively.”
Saat ditanyakan mengenai kemungkinan kembali mereka berlima, “Our situation might look cloudy right now, but we know that that day will come one day. It’s not like we’ve only been together for a year or two, we’ve been there for each other at our hardest, most difficult, and most passionate, all striving for one goal. We dreamed the same dreams under the same sky, so that door of possibility will always remain open.”
Saat reporter menanyakan apakah mereka merasa kecewa karena dudar saat mereka sedang sukses di Jepang, JYJ menjawab, “We didn’t think about the commercial benefits at the time. It was just upsetting that we felt the need to break away when we were at the height of our fame (Tokyo Dome Concert)… We made the decision knowing that we might never be able to sing again, so instead of saying ‘disappointing’, I think ‘upsetting’ is a better term.”
“When we first began in Japan, we weren’t able to promote on broadcast programs in Tokyo, so we had to get our name known through broadcast programs in the suburbs. But now, seeing our juniors achieve success in Japan makes us think that it’s an amazing feat for them to be able to earn attention from major Japanese labels so early on in their careers. BoA gave us hope for our Japanese advancement and paved that road. I think we’d be proud if we were able to allow our juniors to advance into Japan in a better environment.”
“Through our world tour, it felt great being able to meet fans from Europe and South America. It felt as if we were able to show off our music to a variety of people. Especially at our New York concert, 7,000 fans rushed into a garden originally meant for 3,000 people, which led police to come out to the scene. It felt good.”
Saat ditanya mengenai pengalaman berkencan yang menyakitkan, mereka merespon “As opposed to most painful… As you know, we’ve never just stayed in Korea. We had a busy schedule that required us to travel between Korea and Japan. All three of us have such passion for music, so our girlfriends could never last.”
“Things other boyfriends could do like remembering anniversaries and going on weekend dates were unrealistic for us. Our girlfriends thought we weren’t paying attention to their needs and would feel disappointed. Honestly, it’s hard for us to keep any long-term relationship since it would get difficult even before the relationship starts.”
JYJ menyatakan keinginan untuk tahun ini, “Our goal is to work hard on our JYJ worldwide album promotion in the U.S. and to show off an amazing world tour starting March. We also hope that our music essay being released this month earns a lot of love. Since 2011 is the year of the rabbit, we’re looking forward to catching both ‘rabbits’ and spending more time with our fans on stage.”
