Rapper and producer Jang Geun Yi recently revealed that Dalmatian will be making its anticipated comeback in March.

He tweeted, “It is planned that Dalmatian will be making its comeback in March. They will start their deadly recording next week.
As the group lost one of its member, Dari, to military obligations, the 5-member group will be making a comeback in almost an year as they had promoted “The Man Opposed” last April.
As Jang Geun Yi is a veteran producer, working with popular stars like Miryo and MBLAQ, Dalmatian is expected to make a hot comeback.

22 December:

Dalmatian has been quiet ever since they wrapped up their promotions for “That Man Opposed” earlier this year, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t been busy!

24 Februari:
When Dalmatian debuted last year with their first mini-album, “Round 1“, the group was only able to perform for about two weeks before they wrapped up for a variety of different reasons.  Thankfully, the boys made their return earlier this month and are more determined than ever to show that their nine years of training haven’t gone to waste.
With two title tracks in tow, the group is receiving the full backing of their agency in order to run a successful promotion this time around.  The members also received complete control over their music direction, lyrics, and styling; they even got help from some of Korea’s top producers, like Shinsadong Tiger.
Leader Inati revealed, “We really did directly produce everything as much as we could, as well as participate in writing and composing the songs.  The unique style of ‘Lover Cop‘ was our idea, and fortunately, our agency gave us their complete trust.  Even during such difficult times, they produced two music videos for us, so we’ll be working extra hard in order to pay them back (laughter).”
The group started earning hype nearly four to five years before they actually debuted, so it’s easy to see just how long they’ve trained. For Inati especially, nine long years have gone by.
He expressed, “There’s really nothing that I haven’t tried.  During my senior year of high school, I constructed everything from the street sign to the drains for a hospital, and even did heavy construction work outside of that. Sometimes I worked at a market, and sold items in a stationary store. I think those experiences help me a lot in music.”
Inati isn’t the only member who experienced a difficult time, as the rest of the members also carry strong backgrounds and experiences. Day Day rapped Shinhwa’s eighth and ninth albums, and even performed on stage for Hyori’s “Shall We Dance.” He was even JYP Entertainment’s rap instructor for the Wonder Girls and miss A.
Dari was also a famous name in the underground scene, and Jisu, who’s especially talented in the piano, spent his trainee years helping guide recordings under various composers. He’s even worked in a shopping mall for a kids’ clothing store in order to buy his own instruments.
Youngwon was famous in Busan for his dance skills, and Daniel prepared to debut with B2ST’s Yoseob in another agency.  When that fell through, he returned to his hometown in the States and worked various part-time jobs before returning to his dream of becoming a singer. In order to learn Korean, he took the initiative of working in a Korean bakery to brush up his language skills.
Their name, like the dog breed, means that they’ll always be loyal and never betray their fans.
Inati concluded, “We want to be a friendly, honest group, much like the people you can find next door. Like a dalmatian, we’ll become a group loyal to our fans!”

21 Februari:
When Dalmatian debuted last year, the boys established a positive reputation as a talented group with strong vocals and rap skills. Their recent comeback, however, confidently cemented their position in the ‘talented rookie’ rank in the music industry.
Many expressed their disbelief over the group being ‘rookies’ after watching their comeback performances this week; the boys consistently delivered their solid talents, and utilized a cute, musical-like element to their performances that was both eye-catching and unique.
A representative of their agency explained, “For their comeback, the members of Dalmatian rehearsed endlessly to provide a great performance.  Member Youngwon, especially, dyed his hair about eight times to achieve his blue color.  We’re glad that they were able to live up to the expectations of fans.”

The concept of the video seems to surround the various nuances and fissures that every relationship goes through. In this case, the boys are seen fighting with one another, being in trouble with their girlfriends, and gaining experience in love and loss.
It’s a fresh and quirky video with the fashion to match.

15 Februari:
On February 14th, Dalmatian held their first ever comeback showcase at Hongdae’s Rolling Hall in celebration of their mini-album release earlier that day.
After giving fans an enthusiastic performance (and a first glimpse of their comeback concept), the members decided to introduce the mini-album by discussing their hopes and confidence behind it.
Dalmatian began, “We wanted to sing about dreams and hope through our debut digital single ‘Round 1‘ last year, so this time, we wanted to fill our album with stories about love.  We especially made sure that this album would allow us to communicate and connect with our fans on a deeper level.”
They continued, “As we were preparing this album, we felt that there were a lot of people around us who were giving us their support. It’s music that we suffered to make, so we’re that much more confident about it.”
When asked to introduce their group, the members replied, “We feel that our team has a distinctive, defining color. Our characteristic is that there’s a clear divide between the vocal line and rap line.  Through this emotional music, we will be officially kickstarting our activities today, so please look forward to us.”
The meaning behind ‘Dalmatian’ is that its a name which combines the canine breed and the term’musician.’ In order to live up to their name, the members revealed that they were determined to be loyal to music lovers by performing music as impressive and beautiful as a dalmatian’s spots.

Ahead of their February 14th comeback, Dalmatian has revealed another behind-the-scenes video, this time from the set of their MV, “Lover Cop“.
The video marks D-2 before their official comeback, depicting the members having fun while shooting their music video. “Lover Cop” was inspired by the movie “Robocop” and includes mixed electronic rock sounds from the 90’s.
The Dalmatian members don some eyebrow-raising fashion during the MV shoot, and display their exceptional dancing skills. Apparently, the group filmed for 27 straight hours for this music video.
A teaser of the track is also revealed at the end of this BTS video.

12 Februari: Dalmatian revealed a joint MV teaser for their songs, “Lover Cop” and “That Man Disapproves“, from their upcoming mini album that’s set to be released on February 14th.
Today, a longer MV teaser was revealed for their lighthearted song, “That Man Disapproves.” In the teaser, the members of Dalmatian appear to be nagging at their female castmates as you hear them sing,
Don’t wanna be lonely. I wanna just fall in love. I love you…so I want you to come into my heart~

11 Februari: Dalmatian is slated to make their comeback on February 14th, and they’ve been releasing teasers in the form of videos and photos to build anticipation for their return. The boys have just unveiled another behind-the-scenes teaser, and this time, it’s fairly content heavy.
In this latest teaser, you can see the members preparing for their first mini-album showcase.  They’ve split up so that the three eldest members are practicing their rap verses (led unsurprisingly by Day Day), while the three younger members are practicing the choreography in a separate room.
Additionally, fans can hear snippets of two tracks: “Really Really” (which the older members were rehearsing) and “Real Eyes” (which the younger members were rehearsing).  ”Really Really” has more of a R&B feel to it, while “Real Eyes” is more akin to the typical drama OST theme song. But the kicker in “Real Eyes” is this clever verse which plays on the homonyms of ‘realize’ and ‘real eyes’: “I want you to stay, my baby, real eyes/Realize, always be my baby“.
Both tracks are have an infectious, feel-good quality to them, so check it out!
