Coin Jackson

18 Maret:
Recently, rookie group Coin Jackson had an interview with SPN where they revealed their diet regime. The new group stated, “4-5 months before our debut we were practicing hard and had a very strict diet.”
Breakfast consisted of half a bowl of brown rice along with some low-sodium side dishes. Lunch included banana’s and three egg whites. Dinner consisted of one sweet potato; one egg white; walnuts, almonds, various other nuts; and milk. In addition to this diet, the members also practiced singing and dancing for 14 hours a day.
The interviewer asked, “Can you endure a day on this kind of diet?
The members responded that they endured their hunger and rarely deviated from this diet. One time there was an incident where maknae Wooyoo went to the hospital. On the way back, she bought a walnut cake in an alley while the manager wasn’t looking, but in the end she was caught. The other members were asked whether they secretly snacked in between meals, but unfortunately none of the members spoke up.

10 Maret:
After headlining for weeks, rookie girl group Coin Jackson finally made their round of debuts on music programs with their title track, “Feedback“.

Comprised of leader Mari, unni Eun Bit, main vocalist Jihoo, dancing queen Cora, hip hop girl Maxi, and maknae Wooyoo, the girls revealed that their name was short for “Korea in Michael Jackson“. Why Michael Jackson, specifically? The girls were inspired by the international star, and so they wanted their name to reflect their desire to achieve global fame like his.
The girls recently sat down for an interview with No Cut News and introduced themselves by stating,“Our individual personalities are all very unique, and we’re a bit headstrong in other areas. Thankfully, for the past eight months, we haven’t collided that much. We know each other’s personalities so we’re careful and more mindful (laughter). Whenever we make a mistake, we make a point to apologize right away and also try to be understanding. Leader Mari uses her charisma to lead the group while oldest unni Eun Bit takes cares of the younger members.”
Music fans have been following the group  ever since they came out claiming that they were going to be a  ’hip hop a capella’ girl group. The girls revealed that their song “Feedback” was not only an expression of the genre, but it was an attempt at setting themselves apart from the other girl groups who focused solely on cute and innocent concepts.
They explained, “We all enjoy hip hop, which became useful in setting us apart from other girl groups. We want to show our powerful, ‘female warrior’ side through music shows, and reveal our different charms on other programs. We think it’s possible to show cuteness and innocence, while still keeping up our strong image.”
hanks to their honest personalities, the girls recently picked up the nickname of ‘honest idols.’ “We’re glad that we were able to receive so much attention prior to our debut. It helped us a lot experience-wise, and through guesting at DJ DOC’s concert and participating in CF recordings, we were able to move about with more freedom on stage and interact more with the audience. Still, we will make sure to keep adding to our experiences, and strive to grow and improve.”
When asked about what they hoped to achieve in their future, the girls concluded, “While we’re at the forefront of the ‘hip hop a capella’ genre, we hope to connect with our fans as just the ‘girls next door.’ It’d be great if people were able to relieve their stress by watching us perform. Our dream is to become role models to people aspiring for the same career. When the opportunity arises, we’d also like to repay the love we’re receiving through volunteer work and such.”

15 Februari: PPP Entertainment’s Coin Jackson has been garnering attention lately for claiming to be Asia’s first ‘hip hop a capella girl group,’ escalating many people’s expectations for the six-member group.
After revealing their first music video for Feedback, these young ladies dropped their debut single, “Beginning,” on Valentine’s Day, featuring the title song Feedback and a new track called Rumor. The single also includes instrumentals for both songs and the MV version of Feedback.
While these tracks definitely fall more heavily in the dance genre than hip hop and show no signs of a capella, they still show off the six members’ roles as actual singers and not just pretty faces. Noting the lack of autotune, netizens have complimented the power vocals that are especially apparent in the second track Rumor.
To add to their musical prowess, it had been revealed back in December that member Jihoo had performed on Christmas Eve by singing the national anthem at a professional basketball game. The other members are leader Mari, Kora, Eunbit, Maxi and maknae Wooyoo.
