We recently reported that BoA will be releasing a new single called “One Dream” featuring SHINee‘sKey and Super Junior-M‘s Henry. The single is now out!
This song was made to encourage and show support for all the contestants on SBS‘ ‘K-Pop Star’. It shows off BoA’s amazing vocals accompanied by Key and Henry‘s awesome rapping! This song was performed by BoA on the March 18th broadcast of ‘K-Pop Star’.

On December 10th and 11th of 2011, BoA celebrated her 10th anniversary as well as the Christmas holiday with a live concert at the Tokyo International Forum. Fans that missed out need not fret, as all of the performances have been recorded for this special DVD release.
The DVD was already released in Japan on the 7th, but fans can expect a Korean release on the 19th. The DVD contains “Milestone“, “Meri Kuri“, “No. 1“, “Valenti“, and other hit songs for a total of 20 performances.

BoA has signaled her return to the J-Pop scene by releasing the PV (or ‘promotional video’) to her new song, “Milestone“!
BoA’s delivered a pretty video tinted with emotions and ethereal visuals. The loneliness felt in her ballad carried over beautifully into her PV, and fans are already expressing how they’ve missed seeing this level of artistry from the songstress.

BoA is gearing up for her December comeback, and fans are psyched to hear new Japanese material after such a long hiatus.

A few weeks ago, BoA teased her fans with a tweet about a new single. New info about this single has just been revealed, and it’s exciting BoA fans all over the globe!
Titled “Milestone“, the single will be BoA’s first Japanese release in about a year and a half. The title song is said to be a ballad, similar to “Meri Kuri“, “Winter Love“, and “I SEE ME“.
“Milestone” will serve as BoA’s third CM song for Audio Technica, and so she performed the track for the very first time at the brand’s 50th anniversary event on October 13th.
The single will come with a CD and a DVD. The CD will contain a total of four songs including her digital single, “I SEE ME”, and a different version of “Meri Kuri”. Meanwhile, the DVD will contain a video clip as well as some making-of footage for “Milestone”.
To top it all off, BoA will hold her annual Christmas live at Tokyo International Forum on December 10th and 11th.

On October 13th, BoA tweeted, “I want to congratulate Audio Technica on their 50th anniversary. I was nervous about my new song ‘Milestone’ but I enjoyed myself. It’s an emotional song.”
She also uploaded another photo with Crystal Kay, a famous singer-songwriter in Japan whom BoA has collaborated with in the past.

BoA has just announced some exciting news through her Twitter account! The singer is preparing to make her long-awaited comeback in Japan with a new single, and it seems like it’ll be dropping fairly soon.
On October 1st, BoA tweeted, “Many ppl asking me when I’m gonna release my next single in Japan… I’m preparing my single now.. So you’ll be able to listen to it soon!”
Following up, the singer updated her production status on the 6th by hinting at a new PV. “Heading to the set for my new music video… (＠⌒ー⌒＠)ノ.“
BoA also announced that she’ll be holding a solo concert this Christmas as well. “Forgot to mention this.. We confirmed 2011 Christmas concert (2011 BoA the live X-mas) in Tokyo for two days. December 10, 11!! Can’t wait!!”

BoA, who recently celebrated her 10th anniversary of her Japanese debut, excited fans with a recent post concerning her upcoming plans.
Earlier today, BoA tweeted, “Many ppl asking me when I’m gonna release my next single in Japan… I’m preparing my single now.. So you’ll be able to listen to it soon!” Within moments of her tweet, hundreds of eager fans bombarded the star with encouraging messages, showing everyone’s continued interest in her music.
BoA hasn’t released a new single since “Woo Weekend” in July 2010 (though she did release the digital single, “I See Me” as a promotional song for Audio Technica headphones on December 6th, 2010).
BoA has been sorely missed lately, it will be great to hear new music from her.
14 September:
When BoA tweeted that she was spending her Chuseok holiday in the recording studio, rumors swirled around the possibility of a Korean comeback by the end of the year.
On September 11th, BoA had tweeted, “Is everyone spending a good Chuseok? I’ve been having such busy days lately, so much so that I even forgot it was Chuseok. I’m going to be spending my Chuseok in the recording studio~”
Many wondered whether she was recording for a Korean comeback, and several industry representatives even included her in their list of returns for the latter half of the year. Representatives ofSM Entertainment, however, have asserted that she will not be making a comeback this year.
They stated, “We know that a lot of people are curious about whether she’ll be making a comeback this year, especially after her Chuseok tweet, but BoA has no plans of releasing another song this year. She’s always been recording songs whenever she has spare time, and the song she recorded over Chuseok will most likely be released as a Japanese single or another album.”
4 September:
BoA began, “It’s not an easy feat to be able to perform at the Tokyo Dome in Japan, so I’m glad that not only am I able to stand on this stage, but that I’m here with my seniors and juniors from SM Town. It’s especially meaningful for me in that I’m performing here soon to mark my 10th anniversary.”
Reflecting back to her debut, she commented, “Ten years ago, there was no Hallyu, and it was rare to see Korean artists performing on Japanese stages. I had to constantly endure things I wasn’t used to and I was really lonely. Compared to my friends who are making Japanese advancements now, I was at a disadvantage.”
She continued, “I get jealous sometimes seeing juniors advance into Japan. I think it’s great that they’re able to show exactly the type of music, performance, and personal color in just the way they want it.”
BoA concluded, “I’ve been promoting in Japan for 10 years, but I’m really not lonely anymore. The fact that I’m able to fill up the Tokyo Dome with the seniors and juniors I love is just happiness in itself for me.”

On August 26th, the singer tweeted “I successfully finished performing at the 2011 Daegu IAAF World Championships and am leaving~ Now off to Japan for a concert — go-go-sing! I saw yellow ‘Jumping BoA‘ balloons for the first time in a long time and felt touched. I love you”
BoA performed at the opening ceremony for the event along with many other K-Pop stars, where she was greeting by the enthusiastic cheers of her fanclub, ”Jumping BoA”. The fans also cheerfully waved balloons in BoA’s official fanclub color, yellow.

BoA fan website “the-01.com” celebrated BoA’s 11th anniversary with a newspaper ad. BoA officially debuted on August 25th, 2000.
On August 25th, BoA thanked her fans via twitter and re-tweeted the picture of the newspaper ad (seen above).
With a photo of her singing, the ad reads: “You’ve been with us for 11 years, yet your performances are always missed. Like we’re doing now, we’ll always stay with you. BoA lets go forever!”
Last year, the fan website also wished BoA a Happy Birthday with her picture and a message as well.

Super Junior took off for Paris to attend the two-day “SM Town Live in Paris” tour. BoA recently expressed her disappointment in not being able to join her SM labelmates due to her commitments to her movie schedule.

On May 19th, BoA shared her excitement with fans about being on the “Cobu 3D” film set with her co-stars.
The star tweeted, “We’re filming on a large stage today! Everyone is here right now.”

On April 5th, the star tweeted, “Great meeting you!” and uploaded a picture of herself posing closely with the famous producer. Her petite frame contrasts with his significantly bigger frame, leading many of her fans to comment on her ‘cuteness’.
The meeting reportedly took place at CJ E&M, a concert management company.
