20 April:
On April 26th, CNBLUE will be releasing a special present for their fans in the form of an album titled “First Step +1 “!

This album is being released as an expression of gratitude for the fans who showed them such explosive love for their first official album. A total of four tracks – “Love Girl“, “Try Again Smile Again“, “Yes“, and “Goodbye” – will be included.
Since it is a present, the members wanted to add their personal touch to the album by producing the tracks themselves. “Love Girl” was re-arranged, and other songs include co-writing by the members of the band. The album is also unique in that it will be produced in the form of a diary for fans to record daily thoughts and memos into; it’ll also include extra everyday photos of CNBLUE.
FNC Music stated, “Since the boys have received so much love to the point of earning double and triple crowns, we have decided to produce a new album as a way of saying thanks to our fans. With three tracks that were originally only released in Japan and plenty of photos of the members, we hope that it will become a great present for our fans.”
The music video teaser for the band’s follow-up track, “Love Girl”, will be released on April 22nd.

15 April:Seoul Central District Court officially ruled that CNBLUE’s “Loner” was not plagiarized, ending a year of heated allegations between their composers and indie band, Ynot.

Sitting down for an interview with Star News, CNBLUE’s Yongha stated, “I feel really refreshed that a year later, it’s finally been revealed that ‘Loner’ was not plagiarized. Aside from all of that, we’ve always worked on our music with sincerity, and that will hold true for our future as well.”
Minhyuk continued, “I feel like I can go anywhere now and be confident. It feels great that ‘Loner’ was revealed to not be a plagiarized track, and the response for our new album is positive as well. Please look forward to not only our album promotions, but our acting as well.”
CNBLUE’s agency concluded, “From the start, we were sure that the song was not plagiarized. It’s a great feeling to have that acknowledged by the court. We do not have any ill feelings towards Ynot for making those allegations to begin with.”

13 April:The plagiarism case between Ynot and CNBLUE’s “Loner” has finally come to a close after a year of allegations.

On April 13th, judge Park Jung Gil of the Seoul Central District Court ruled against the plaintiff, indie bandYnot, in favor of co-composers Kim Do Hoon and Lee Sang Ho of “Loner”.
In March of 2010, four members of Ynot had claimed that the chorus of “Loner” was directly plagiarized from their track, “Blue Bird“, and filed a $50,000 USD lawsuit against the two composers of “Loner”.

11 April:CNBLUE has shaken up a music chart in Taiwan!

The band’s first studio album, “First Step“, recently ranked #1 on Taiwan’s weekly music chart, G-MUSIC. This is surprising because CNBLUE did not officially release the album in Taiwan.
CNBLUE has appeared on foreign charts before when they ranked second on Japan’s Oricon singles chart. Their success as a band rather than a dance group is helping to diversifying the Hallyu wave overseas.
Meanwhile, CNBLUE’s title song, “Intuition” won the Mutizen award on SBS’s “Inkigayo” on April 10th, holding up to its hot popularity.

Hilariously, the boys failed to get it right when asked to choose between a ‘kiss and back hugs’ and ‘intellectual charm and ingenuous beauty’, but came to a concensus when asked to choose between ‘IU andAfter School’s UEE‘.
All four members had exclaimed, “UEE!
The group immediately expressed their surprise and stared at one another in awe while listeners enviously commented, “UEE must be happy.” When asked to choose between abs or a cute behind, the members all chose abs, rounding out their teamwork points to two.
Their interview transitioned onto the topic of their ideal women, to which Jonghyun replied, “Someone who’s fun to be with.” Jungshin added, “I’d like an older woman that has a higher mental age,” whileYonghwa stated, “A girl with clear eyes and long, straight hair.”
Minhyuk surprised the rest by replying, “I want to meet a variety of different women, but my ideal woman is gagwoman Song Euni.”

21 Maret:
After releasing their first official album, “First Step,” and the MV for “Intuition” earlier today, CNBLUE held a press conference at the M Pub in Seoul’s Time Square, and took their first official step into their comeback.

Yonghwa began, “We gathered together the songs we liked from our Japanese releases and recreated them for our album. If there’s one thing we learned from this album, it’s that there’s joy in writing and producing songs. Thanks to those skills, we’ve become better at interpreting songs. Our official album took a long time to prepare, especially the recording. We’d re-record and edit whatever didn’t satisfy us. Thankfully, the response towards the album has been positive so we’re quite proud.”
The members participated in the writing, composing, and arranging of nine out of the album’s 12 tracks.
Jonghyun, who wrote “Love Rides the Rain” and “Lie,” commented,  “Usually, I write and compose songs from the feelings I come across in my day-to-day life. But because of our busy promotions, I lived vicariously through movies and dramas and produced my songs from there. This album is important in that it shows the true color of our band.”
Yonghwa continued, “Honestly, I want to give our album 50 points. There are lacking aspects, but we really did try hard and tried to create everything from our own efforts. To say we’re 100% satisfied is too much, as we’ve still got a long way to go.”
When asked about his “We Got Married” wife Seohyun supporting the group, he replied, “I contacted her and she said she would come to the showcase to support us. I asked her if she was serious, and she said that she’d be supporting us with her heart. I’ll be supporting Seohyun’s promotions actively as well.”
On ending his virtual marriage with Seohyun, he stated, “I’m upset that I wasn’t able to treat her better. Over the year that I’ve spent with her, I experienced a lot of things that I otherwise couldn’t have. I’ve become fond of her, and I’ll be sure to support her from here on out.”
He continued, “Although I didn’t experience marriage life directly, I feel that it’s vital that couples treat each other without even 1% of anything lacking.”
Earlier, we reported that Yonghwa was cast in MBC’s upcoming drama, “Festival.” At the press conference, member Minhyuk was revealed to be casted as well.
Yonghwa revealed, “Not only will we be promoting through our drama, but through dramas as well. Kang Minhyuk has been cast with me for ‘Festival’ and is busily taking acting lessons. My role in the drama is ‘Lee Shin,’ a cold man that knows nothing but music. I’ve been trying to get into my role lately and have been treating my bandmates coldly. We’re alike in that we’re both band vocalists, so I’m working to bring that out.”
He continued, “As a way to express the meaning of starting fresh, I began a diet and lost about 8kg.”
Minhyuk added, “In the drama, Jung Yonghwa is the main character, while I’ll be playing a character named ‘Yeo Joon.’ It’s not my debut drama, but my second, so I hope to show how much I’ve improved.”
Jungshin stated, “I want to try acting as well since I have interests in both dramas and movies, so I’m preparing for that. I’ve also wanted to model, and recently received the opportunity to walk at the Seoul Fashion Walk this month.”
At the mention of the band being stereotyped as a ‘flower boy band’ that relies on looks over skills, Yonghwa replied, “Honestly, we predicted such views and reactions. We knew, however, that if we were confident with our music and worked hard to show that, people would be understanding.”
Jonghyun continued, “Our focus is on music, no matter what. We often wondered how we’d deliver the things we wanted to feel and share with the public.”
The group stated, “We hope to break the wall that stands between bands and the public. People stereotype bands as being loud and of a genre that is difficult to approach. Like the Rolling Stones, our dream is to become a band that is loved for a long time.”

CNBLUE released their first full album, “First Step“. On March 21st, the band released the full music video for their comeback song, “Intuition“.
In the music video, the four members of CNBLUE are depicted in two ways:  as street hoodlums and as themselves. As rebels, the boys are seen sneaking through the streets, using graffiti to tag ‘CNBLUE’ onto everything. They even trespass into a building and shove security guards out of their way!
When the security guards finally catch up to them, however, it’s revealed that the hoodlum versions were, in fact, their actual selves. But the band has myseriously disappeared, leaving behind only their instruments and a huge graffiti tag of their name on the rooftop.

9 Februari:
CNBLUE has announced that they’ll be postponing the release of their first full-length album by a month.
CNBLUE’s official homepage kicked off a countdown timer a few weeks back, which whittled away the hours until the album’s release on February 23rd. Unfortunately, it looks like unexpected change-ups in their production schedule has forced a delay.
The issue seems to source from the recording studio – representatives have stated that additional tracks are being added, and so the album is still in its production phase.
FNC Music, CNBLUE’s agency, issued a statement explaining why they felt a delay was necessary. “As it is CNBLUE’s first full album, there are a lot of areas that we’re putting a lot of focus on. The full album will contain tracks composed by the members themselves, but we think there will be an inevitable delay in the album release as we are working harder to unveil a more satisfactory production.”
They continued, “As much as the fans have been waiting, we’ll be sure to give back to the fans through great songs.”
At this time, CNBLUE is shooting their music video in Tokyo, so hopefully we can expect to hear from the boys soon!
